    Manufacturer website of the OBD unit had zero information about what the abbreviations meant. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    Watched four of your videos, and anxiously awaiting another one regarding EGR and EVAP topics. Thanks a lot for the ones you've done, I've learned enough to be less afraid. Hope all is well. :)

      Thanks a bunch! I really appreciate that! I found I really like making the videos, but want to improve the quality and content a bit. I have been working on another one with a completely different format and hope it's not a total disaster when it's done. I have a few days off now so going to try to finish it. Thanks for the extra motivation!

    Would be good if they did not use abbreviations on these scanners..would make them so much easier to use...thankyou for explaining things too..

      Thanks! I also checked out your channel, great instructional videos. Makes me want a sportbike again. I gave mine up when I started having kids, but have that itch again.

    Thanks for the in-depth video. So it means this scanner don't read Transmission fluid temperature?

    Looking forward to next tutorial.
    Have you given any thoughts on a scanner review?
    It would mean a lot coming from you.

      Thanks so much! I super appreciate the input! I was debating about reviewing scanners and was a little on the fence with so many other scanner reviews already out there. But you got me thinking more about it now. Especially as some scanners advertise stuff like graphing but are pretty limited when I test them, while others do a much better job at it which may be good info to share. I think I will give it a shot. Have a great night!

      What's your opinion on the scanner you used in the vids.....I believe you get what you pay for but now a days that may not always be the case. Is there a scanner that pin points a problem code like, where the origins of a vacuum leak is (are) instead of just showing a vacuum leak code.....good vids thanks

    Seems there is live data and live Pontiac data I can buy. Evidently. What's the difference?

    • @obdnerdz
      @obdnerdz  Рік тому

      The ones I was showing were standard PIDs (Generic). Some manufacturers have some additional extended PIDs that may be model specific.

    I bought this obd and I read in the manual something about deleting the code s of the frezze frame ( I don't know what that means) but it says something about enhanced data of the manufacturer, and so on , can you elaborate on this cause it sounds like I may not want to do that 🤷‍♂️

    • @m.b.smoshitoa8325
      @m.b.smoshitoa8325 Рік тому +1

      With little knowledge that I have freezed frame data is the data capture of the computer data when the fault occurs or say when the check engine light comes on. If you delete that before the problem is solved then the technician will have the problem of getting relevant data of when the problem occurs.so delete that once you are sure that the problem is resolved.

      @@m.b.smoshitoa8325 ok thanks that makes me feel better lol so if you fix the problem then clear the code and down the road if what you fixed happened again would the code show up again?
