To your point about burning paper with acrylic paint on it; you might want to also stop using a heated drying tool as simply heating acrylic polymer releases a toxic gas. Always let acrylic paint air dry👍😃
I do love your videos and inspiring tips for gel print uses and collage techniques!❤️
Thanks for the info! 😀
Nice work, i use a insence stick to create my organic holes, 😊
Great idea 💡 😀
Thank you Susan. Was lovely to see you creating them.
You are so welcome Anne ❤️

Thank you so much Debbie! 😀
Great inspiration, Susan. Thank you!
Thanks Michelle 😀
Loving this, being a big fan of collage. Just ordered a wood burning tool, going to have fun making collages with the addition of ‘rubbish writing’! Thank you for the video & tge mention! Annex
Have fun Anne! Glad you are enjoying the videos. Hope you are getting to the end of all those wedding dress alterations!
Beautiful !!!
Thank you! 😀
I love these - would you be able to do a video showing how you painted the kraft paper? Thanks from Tasmania

Lovely! You can also light an incense stick and make holes in your papers with that instead of a woodburning tool.
Thanks for the tip!
Very interesting technique there! and love your collages they are so creative and have wonderful composition and color. A tip I learned recently for stuck plastic jars (glue and mediums) is to give it a hard smack (or two) on the lid (lid side down) onto a table or hard surface so that the glue loosens from the jar threads, it works well for me.
Great tip! Thanks so much I’ll give it a try 😀
Love them❣️
Thank you 😊
Your burned papers are so cool. I'll try it with my stencil burning tool.
Thanks Avanelle, have fun 🤩
I use an incense stick to burn holes
Neat idea, and your room will smell nice too! Win win 😂
Very nice!👍😊
Thank you! 😀
The Nori paste is perfect for Chine Colle. I use matte medium for my collage work. 😊
Good to know, I’ve seen other artists make rice glue for chine colle, have you ever tried that?
These are beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
I’d love to see how you framed them
It’s on my list, I’ll have to find frames to fit this size then maybe I’ll do a video on that 😊
Hello Susan, your collages are really wonderful. Awesome to watch, how you make a difference with some little orange dots for example. And how you know why to put exactly this piece in this place. That´s what puzzles me still a lot, when I am making collages. 🙃
Thank you so much Britta, it comes from lots of lessons about composition, practice, looking at other compositions and noticing why you find things pleasing to the eye. It is quite a hard process to teach as a lot of it is very intuitive, just keep practicing and it will come 🙌👍
Great videos! Can I ask why you don’t put glue all over the back of your collage pieces as I’ve seen other artists do? Thx!
Hi 👋 it depend on the paper and the project. If I was attaching a heavy paper to a wooden board I would adhere both sides, for small projects like these I don’t think it’s necessary 😀
May I ask what was the base paper please?
Hi 👋 copy paper, wet strength tissue, old book pages, dressmaking pattern paper and brown craft paper 👌
