Thanks for inspiring me to use sketchbooks more to practice with my pens!
I'm so glad! 😌 💙
Love your video of your demonstrating how you can practice and make stunning work. Brilliant. Thank you.
You are so welcome! 🤗
Wow, really fun to see your process. It was very inspiring and I am going to pull out my gel plate for making backgrounds. Yours were simply gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing this video! ❤
Have fun! ❤️
The one of the flowers you did first is just beautiful ❣️❣️
Thank you so much 😊
Just what I wanted to see! I thought it was all posca pens but mine didn’t seem to be so fine. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
you have such a nice sketchbook.....please make a flip through video ..... as always, a nice and informative video! Thanks so much for sharing your experience and talent with us ❤❤❤🙏
I’d be happy to do a flip through, great idea 💡 ❤️
So useful, and a brilliant demo, thank you 💜💚

Love this - thank you! Your gel prints are among the best I've seen.
Wow, thank you! 🤩
Thank you for this info! I go through hundreds of the Uniball Signo white pen as I teach doodling classes!
They are great and quite affordable too 😀
Loving this mini series Susan! I ordered my bolsa wood squares and they arrived today so can't wait to start! Bring on the resin! Thank you SO much for all your brilliant videos ❤
Yay! 🙌 so happy you’re enjoying this series ❤️❤️❤️
So pleased I found your channel!
Thank you 🤩
Enjoyed this a lot Susan, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it 😀❤️
As always your videos are so inspiring and a joy to watch. I definitely need to learn how to draw botanicals. I love your little flip book. Are you able to make a video on how you made this?
I’ve filmed this in Evocative landscapes course, so I won’t be sharing on here I’m afraid. If you search on UA-cam there are some great free demos from other artists though 😀
I love the way you do your sketches... I enjoy doing meandering leaves and vines too. And you reminded me that I need to get out some reference material as I work instead of trying to always work from memory. And "oops," that big blob of gold that came out of the Pentel paint pen has happened to me before too. I agree it give's you beautiful gold lines...when it works, but I found it too fussy to work with after a while and never replaced the one I had...that I ended up pitching. Thanks for sharing. 👍
I’m so glad you enjoyed the tutorial 😀
Thank you for the useful information. I've been wondering about different pens and your tutorial was helpful I'm going to take pictures in my garden AND look for books at thrift shops. Your work is lovely. I think I have to make a flip book!
Glad it was helpful! 😀
Thank you for your review 😊
Glad you found it helpful 😀
Beautiful ❤
Thank you 🙏
Beautiful little studies.
Glad you like them! ❤️
Loved the video, and full of great ideas. I have found Posca pens seem to dry up so quickly on me, but when I complained about it to the girl at the art store here she said hers always overdeliver on paint. So, not entirely reliable. I'll have to look for the bronze, and the slightly thicker gold. Thanks for all the lovely new ideas to try.
Glad you enjoyed the video 😀
Do you ever use fountain pens?
Susan i would love to see the sketchbook in more detail. Seemed like there were some beautiful pieces.
Beautiful!
Ps, the first botanical book is in Dutch. 🖤
Oh thanks! I didn't realise that 😀
I have had such bad luck with Posca pens.. So many artists I follow use them with apparent great success... but I find them very challenging...in particular the metallic ones.. but my other colors are fussy too.
Och it’s frustrating isn’t it! I had quite a few that I just couldn’t get to flow. If I hadn’t had some that worked really well I would have given up too! I know I should send them back but I never find the time 🤷♀️
@@susanmccreevyartist It's just so expensive to experiment with materials. But lesson learned for me.. no more posca pens.. I'd rather look for other things.. like acrylic inks... I appreciate you sharing what you know.
@@EmilyBlitzerhave you tried using a fineline applicator tool with white ink? That works well too ❤
hmmm, I don't think so...I have other marker type pens I love using: Staedtler triplus fineliner, Pigma Micron & Tombow water-soluble ( so I can use liek paint with water ) but they aren't really paint pens....I have uniball which also tend to be a bit tempermental at times but less of an iunvestment than the posca pens

Hello Susan. I am a resin & mixed artist. I always use art resin in my artwork so if you need any advice feel free to reach out ❤
That’s very kind of you! Thanks so much ❤️
Thanks Susan, it is so frustrating when a pen does not work, i will preserver, and try the tip of putting in water overnight,

Oh I’m with you there! I’ve wasted a LOT of money on pens that don’t work 🤷♀️🥹
Lovely work Susan….but paint pens can be the bane of my life…mostly using the same as you.
