Love this idea so I got myself a little board book today!! 😍😀 if I use tissue paper should I gesso the pages first !? Love your art channel 🤗
That’s great! I don’t bother gessoing first, the mat medium glue works fine 🥰

These are wonderful! Do you sand or somehow "de-gloss" the pages before working on them, or will the matte medium/papers just stick?
Hi Sue, I just glue straight onto the page, works fine 😊

Inspired to get a board book now .Which matt medium are you using as some seem to change the paint colour .Tia😊
Windsor & Newton Galeria Mat medium ❤️
Peut être une peinture dorée sur la tranche de votre magnifique livre?👏 Quelle belle idée de partir d'un livre d'enfant? Merci
Nice idea 💡 I do love a it of gold, you could also try a pretty washi tape for the spine 😀🌟
So you arent wrapping the paper around the cover? Just sticking the bit you cut out straight on?
