  • Join us for another exciting episode from Seoul, Korea where we take you to Tongjin Market (통인시장) to try eating Korean street food for the first time on our trip. From the moment I arrived in Seoul I've been craving Korean street food, especially items such as tteokbokki, kimchi jeon and hotteok, so when we had a short window of opportunity in our schedule we jumped at the chance to eat as much as possible.
    David's channel: / davidsbeenhere
In terms of our Korean street food tour in Seoul we had the following items:
    1) Korean kimchi pancake (kimchi-jeon - 김치전)
    2)
Have you had street in Seoul before? What is your favorite Seoul street food? Let us know in the comments below.

Eating Korean Street Food in Seoul, Korea at Tongin Market (통인시장):
Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a vlogging travel couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.
Our most recent trip was to South Korea where I embarked upon a two-week adventure without Audrey. Invited as part of a UA-cam vlogging trip, organized by KTO, I spent the first week traveling with other UA-camrs in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju. My second week included independent exploration of Korea with my good friend and fellow UA-camr David of DavidsBeenHere.
Having lived and traveled in South Korea, the chance to return to one of my favorite countries was one of the biggest surprises of 2019. On this particular trip, I had an opportunity to do many things I had not previously covered including a visit to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between South Korea and North Korea), a Buddhist Temple Stay and a Korean cooking class. It was almost as if the program designed by KTO knew exactly what I had missed out on before.
Obviously, a huge highlight from the two weeks I spent revisiting Korea was the food. I feasted on all of my favorite Korean dishes including Korean barbecue, dolsot bibimbap, haemul pajeon, tteokbokki, bulgogi, kimbap and many others. I can honestly say that Korean food is world-class and is one of my top 5 favorite cuisines in the world. Aside from trying familiar dishes, I had the opportunity to sample raw Korean seafood for the first time.
While visiting Seoul, highlights included going to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Namsan Seoul Tower, Jogyesa Temple and Hongdae. As one of the biggest cities in the world, I barely scratched the surface of things to do in Seoul.
Spending extended time in Busan was my favorite part about the trip with top highlights including a Korean temple stay, fresh fish markets and a Korean baseball game. It was from Busan that we ended up taking a day-trip to Daegu where we enjoyed a traditional Korean market and tried Galbi-Jjim for the first time.

Sam, your conversational Korean is pretty good! I am impressed! The word “honey” in Korean is pretty tough to pronounce, it takes a while to pronounce the double letters, you were close but the beginning of the word is bit more “kk” sounding, the way you pronounced it sounded more like a “g” sound which would change the meaning to more like how you would say oyster in Korean but you were close! The other word you pronounced which is hard for lot of non-Koreans is Thut-po-ki, that one you got it perfect! That’s a tough one for lot of people. Man your videos always make me hungry even when I am full! lol

I miss all the Korean street food!!! But honestly the snack I miss most is the hottuck, The ones in Busan with nuts, cheese and honey were freaking amazing, we also were lucky enough to try one in Siheung (South of Incheon) from a lady with a small cart next to a school, 3 for 1500 (were a bit smaller but were delicious). So sad, we went back 3-4 times and never saw her again.... Oh memories....
