What an awesome-looking market! So many cool things to see and do, even without all of the street food there! Haha, it made me laugh that you guys skipped the silkworms this time around. On the other side of things, the gimbap looks really good, as do the green and white rice cakes you tried. The steamed dumplings look really delicious. And I need some tteok-bokki! Awesome video, as usual, Sam!
That mask that David bought was a great choice. It's a mask used in traditional Korean theatre. Regarding the white and green rice cakes you bought. The filling is yellow bean (not peanut). It's funny Samuel that you preferred the green one. It is very healthy and made with a type of plant. My mom always tries to get me to eat them, but I prefer the white (less healthy option). Lol.
You eat Korean street foods very well, then go to the night goblin market (Bamdokkebi Market). It is held every weekend night in places like Yeouido and Cheonggyecheon. If you go there, you can try many street foods sold in food trucks.
Namdaemun Market tour was one of the favorite things I did when I went to Seoul 💕 Everything I’ve eaten there is 🤤🤤🤤 Plus the ahjummas were very nice and generous! Got a lot of food freebies 💕 You should really allocate one day for Namdaemun Market or for any traditional market in Korea because it’s authentic culture, food, people and ways of lives. Plus Namdaemun will be your go to for souvenir items, way cheaper than those in subways and Myeongdong. But I miss Audrey 😆
Thank you! Great to hear about your experience at Namdaemun. It definitely is a good place to go shopping. Audrey will be back on the channel next week :)
I totally remember watching you and Audrey eat the 마약 김밥 at that stall and Audrey getting wasabi nose burn! So cool that its still there when you went back!
Watch Samuel : im in the future ! Watch David : im in the past ! What i mean, David on his channel just started to tell his side of the Korean travel... so, technically from this point of view... this is the future !! :p i know, im stupid.
Great question Laura! I found a good article for that with a visual representation :) domandhyo.com/2018/02/korean-flag-meaning-what-do-all-the-symbols-mean.html

It’s just amazing with the different street foods that Americans are not used to.
Thanks for sharing this great video.
Thanks, Michael! Korea is one my favorite countries for street food. So many different options.
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos my pleasure 😉👍
Another great video! I'll be heading to Seoul next month and was wondering if vendors at the market only take cash. Keep up the great content!
From my experience it is cash only.

the vibes in south korea is like 70's - 80's vibe.

Could you guys explain to me the symbolism of the Korean flag
Great question Laura! I found a good article for that with a visual representation :) domandhyo.com/2018/02/korean-flag-meaning-what-do-all-the-symbols-mean.html
I have eaten korean food in Oahu Hawaii. But the one I ate in New York City gave me allergies. It was raw crab and had to take Benadryl
Sorry to hear about your experience in NYC. How was it in Hawaii?
Why all cost 1001, not 1000?
That is a mistake in the autoscript Magnus. I'll fix that today.
Love it, please travel to Pakistan
I hope I can visit Pakistan someday.

Wow, those masks are really cool...though a little bit creepy too.
Thanks Anne! They might look a bit spooky at night.
too many ads and too much talkies than featuring more food, becomes boring :((
