I love how Marisha REMEMBERED this because a billion episodes later she reveals Beau's dad is named Thoreau, and commented that that's why she'd said what Sam said was "interesting" lol. Hence why she said "it's interesting you say that" to the "Henry David Thoreauregard" one xD
How was your day? It was So-Seau-regard Did you hurt yourself? Stubbed my Teau-regard What's your favorite toy? Yo-Yeau-regard What's your favorite mountain? Mt. Kilamenja-Reau-regard What's your favorite cat? Cali-Ceau-regard
Nothing can beat Sam's consistency with his Fjord puns. _Early in the campaign_ Fjord: "The name's Fjord. F-J-O-R-D." Starosta, to Fjord: "No last name?" Sam: "Tough." _Very, very later in the campaign_ *Fjord's given last name was revealed to be Stone* Sam: "Wait. . . your name is Stone? That's a _tough_ name."
4:25 "Henry David Thoreauregard" and Marisha replies "Interesting you said that..." because her dad's name! :O Did they already know at this time? What his name was? :O
He did the same with Caleb. Early in the campaign they were trying to come up with fake names they could use as aliases (I forget when and why) and Nott suggested that Caleb could be "Bren". At the time, neither Nott nor Sam knew Caleb's actual name. It was a complete coincidence just like this was. He just has a sixth sense for spoiling backstories by blurting out random names with "no-regard"
@@eightch4610 Henry David Thoreau was an ethics philosopher who studied about unjust states. As you can tell by this video, there were tons of Beauregard puns, and the "Complex Web" is digging deep to the philosopher just for the pun.
Was it during any part of the clips shown in this video? I remember watching it live and when they mentioned that they could hear Dani but I wasn't sure if I could hear her .
The last one is the best because I can feel Sam going, "I can't think of way to work it in to a sentence . . . ah, fuck it. It's too good; I'll just say it anyway."
I've watched this so many times....it's everything that is great about Sam. His playful ego, his quick wit and creativity and the Loki level mischief. He is the best.
We need a full compilation of every funny Sam Riegel moment in critical role..there's a lot and its hard to find them again, because sometimes its just a random convo 1 hour and 37 minutes in or something :D
Best part of this fight was when Nott fired the Explosive arrow, forgetting Caduceus was down and killing him Luckily Jester was there to revive him, otherwise Talison would of had to make his third PC for that campaign
Update: When Beau goes unconscious at one point Sam states. "oh... Oh no-reguard"
he should have said K.O.-regard
At 2 death fails “No ‘mo-regard.”
"It's not your time to go-regard" would have been good
That was said at the live show in Indy, at Gen Con, where the crowd sang along.
Episode 73, by the way.
Talisen also says "she know-regards" at about 1:15ish xD
Sam needs to be more careful about using Vicious Mockery
I'd say it's more a case of cutting words
Nana Firus level 20 bards for ya.
Vicious hype?
Guys, it’s clearly Tasha’s Hideous Laughter, cause I’m cackling like a damn witch!
you are all wrong, it's the legendary scanlan we are talking about. it's tasha's cutting mockery!
Best one (almost) comes from Taliesin at 1:13 when he says something like "pay him neau regards"
I always hear him say "she know-regards" there.
@@Luscitrys that is 100% it god thank you
I wish people responded to iiiit. Nothing hurts more than your pun being ignored, right as someone else's is showered with attention. Poor Jaffe.
@@Soviniy It happens to Taliesin way too often - he quietly says something clever/funny, and nobody hears it!

Parkouregard
“Make that demon-blood flow-regard!” Or, after Liam said “That’s actually where its balls are”, “Aim low-regard!”
Sam Riegel: IRL Bard.

Let's be honest here. A significant amount of Scanlan's personality was "Sam Riegel with pointy ears".

Underrated moment by Taliesin when he says “suddenly, I don’t miss Scanlan” after Sam’s first pun
Taliesin Jaffe is the king at whispering absolute gold under his breath
“Stomp that Horegard” gives me life.
1:27 for posterity
I love Marisha’s face when he says “Henry David Thoroughregard” because she knows that Thorough is her dad’s name but no one else does
Same when Nott uses the fake name Bren at one point in some episode - Liam gets visibly confused, and talks about it later on Talks or in the wrap-up
It’s Thoreau…. And her little brother Thoreau Jr., a.k.a. Bro-regard. 🤣😂😊😂🤣
She even turns to him and says "... interesting you say that" xD
4:26 Timestamp for this moment
Marishas face has the same energy as "Jokes on you" in C3 :D
I'm heartbroken that he never mentioned how she kept rolling too low-regard!
I cant believe he missed 'stun your foeregard '
He still did pretty well. Give it no regard.
Monk of the Cobalt Soul-Regard
We just keep digging this hole-regard
I can’t believe he never used “Blowregard”
i cant belevi he never told her that he holds her in high regard
I like how the first time he decided the joke was too bad, then the next time he made the EXACT SAME PUN and decided it was genius
I love that Sam "nopes" his first pun at 0:26 but keeps going and makes them worse (exception with "stomp that ho-regard").

In the most horrible situations there is always a person joking, thats how they handle it emotionally.
Yuubi Timberwolf But that's my entire friend group 😂
When Sam Riegel almost kills the party with puns
Sam clearly has neau regard for the sanity of the other Critical Role members.
ahaha, good one
Sam said "This evening I will curse Marisha's dice in the dumbest way possible" and you know what, I respect him for that
“Oh no-regard” when beau almost died recently
