It’s such an interesting attack. The amount of harmonics he played with is delicious. Sweet playing- tone and vocals! You should listen to Giant Sand ‘Tucson’ track 7. Love Comes Over You. It’s in this wheelhouse in vocals and writing.

amazing,.... trying to learn some sin-e songs myself and cant get the feel for it. The tone is pretty light but your hitting the strings hard it seems so the volume on the amp is fairly low?
@alexreynolds1826 thanks..The amp volume is usually just raised to the point where I can still hear myself singing without use of a monitor/headphones, and a compression plugin was applied which tamed the peaks whenever I strum hard. I'm sure I could mix a better version now after a few more years of experience but oh well
