And, as a powerlifting certified judge, I cringe when they walk out frontward and not backwards...Don't use belts, and seem to forget that safety clips exist.
I squat 700 lbs Raw if you're thinking I have no qualification for safety talks....
I Red light every athlete who comes to squat on my platform without a belt. It's in the rules! Powerlifting meet or not, it's a safety measure.

One thing I love about fitness is that even when you’re competing against each other it’s still fun and motivating to cheer each other on like you guys did during double unders
For a former Olympic runner, you have exceptional swim technique! For the sprint (and any other freestyle swims), try to envision yourself inside a tube going straight down the pool, and follow that path with your shoulder rotation and your hips. Your catch looks great, just remember any swivel your arms make is wasting potential in the catch and tighten your core on the flip turn with a streamline that shows almost no space between your shoulders and head. And use those legs to your advantage: “Legs feeds the wolf!”

Those double unders are no where near mastered. Not even close. Haha. Not saying he's terrible but yeah. Jump rope is not his thing yet. Hahaha

I never used to grasp the movement of squats until I heard Martin's licis tell action Bronson to engage his hips and then demonstrated it. Exactly how Austen went into it. Well done guys. Great vid.

My parents own a crossfit gym and I've been doing crossfit for about 3 years. I have found that the best jump rope for double unders is by far rpm ropes. They cost a pretty penny but they are very worth it and very light. I highly suggest them.

Unrelated to this video, kind of, but what I love about you and your channel is that you say your pr when you don't make it on the video. Idk if that makes sense, but by doing that, you show that personal best comes and goes. It's a damn journey to get to your best, and you don't ignore that. I was expecting Nick to beat him at the sprint, but that guy is just as fast as him while weighing quite a bit more.
But he beat Nick at the shuttle run, that was a suprise. That guy has explosive strength and we saw that when he pushed the tank, that's why he won at the shuttle run.

I do a lot of competitive swimming and that flip turn was pretty good for someone who doesn’t swim very much
I also agree, I am also a swimmer. Next time the underwater phases can be 2 big fly kicks. Not flutter kicks!!:))
For the front crawl swim,(freestyle) I do 3 arms then breath to get used to how long I hold my breath for each time.

You should try this with different events in track
I’m quite short (170cm) and I’ve got a statistically improbable six friends who are Austin’s size or taller (and all wide shouldered) and it’s always embarrassing standing next to them. Anyway, this was surprisingly interesting and entertaining.
I disagree on the momentum thing, i do muscle ups with zero momentum, the key is to practice the negative transition slow and work on high pull ups

I know that you’re a CrossFit athlete so u train muscle ups with CrossFit form, but doing it with that technique will injure ur shoulder. Please be careful, and I love ur vids btw!! (Which state will the muscle up bid be in?)
