How could she receive band 9 with that speaking skill? I can guarantee that this exam is not reliable. The test results differ depending on the examiners. Some examiners are insanely pedantic, biased.
@@fariasultana7874 I am not disparaging her speaking ability. It casts doubt on the credibility of IELTS. On top of that, a number of Asians can not accept constructive criticism like you. They confuse criticism with offense and are outraged by it.

I feel like these tests are just testing my memory, I don't even remember what I did yesterday let alone be something I saw weeks, months, or maybe years ago
90% of part twO question that I did were all in the past
You don't have to speak about what u did in past, part 2 is just about making a scenario in mind n perform directly, meaning that you're required to be creative and just excel at lying

Unlike writing, which is more formal, Speaking is an informal module on the IELTS test. So yes, “she was like” is a perfectly fine phrase to use.

This is an incident that had happened a few years ago, when i was in a supermarket with my friends, i saw a child behaving badly with his parents. The reason was that he was insisting them to buy him a video game which was quiet expensive but their parents were reluctant to do it may be because of economic conditions. What happened after that the child started throwing off the things on the floor that created very bad atmosphere. The people around were very angry and sad as the parents might be feeling embarrassed. I too was having that gloom. But then i remembered a story of myself that my mother told me that i used to do the same thing as a child, though not to that extent. But she didn't fulfill my desires everyday even it was small because child's behaviour depends on the way parents raise their kids. If they fulfill their every single wish then that builds a mountain of expectations in their heart and if someday it gets broken, the child starts behaving like this, so parents must take care of these things.

Good theme, your grammar needs a tiny correction but the theme of the answer is good.
tbh I feel like I was that child XD Like you, maybe not to that extent, but it reminded me of how I begged my parents to get me gaming cartridges for my nintendo ds all those years ago. I think back then there was only one store in the whole country that sold those. But this was before before e-commerce was big. I guess nowadays everything's a just click away. That is of course when there aren't any currency restrictions. But that's a whole other story :) Anyway good luck!

Proud of the fact that she represents my country 🥺🙌🏻🇱🇰 She is so fluent and confident about her speaking. I mean it's actually relatable for the accent they talk in western countries, and to be honest many SriLankans are not that fluent in English although they can speak up to some extent. But yes she deserves these marks, for she is really good.

I don't came here to learn that i came here to see a mysterious beauty.
I took IELTS Academic on 6th Jan 2022 with only 20 days of self-study from Internet and got my result today; overall 8. L:8, R:8.5, S:7.5, W:7.5. Alhamdullilah. Slightly disappointed with listening as I was getting consistent 9s on Cambridge tests and was hoping at least 8.5 in actual test as well as I was pretty confident in my answers. Also, was expecting 8 in writing as well. Satisfied with speaking as I made plenty of blunders during the speaking session. Still satisfied that got 8 on first try that too without rechecking. A huge thank you to IELTS Daily. Their videos helped me a lot to get this bandscore, especially those Saskia (😍) videos. Thank you!

Everytime I think to myself or talk to myself out loud I can talk in English so so well, I know bcz I've always got high scores in British Council mock tests(always the highest tier C1-C2) ... Bt when it comes to actually communicating with someone in English, my confidence disappears... Its nerve wrecking and so demotivating😓

I completely disagree about the usage of "she was like" and "I feel like oh my good", and similar. It is the poor language of a person who can't precisely say what he or she felt.
The usage of "you know" every second sentence is another lowlight of US English. Repetitions - unless rhetorically justifiable - are poor language.
every video of saskia is so informative , it helps me to improve my vocabulary and improve my pronounciation as well . i am really thankful to saskia and ielts daily for helping us with english language.
