I studied a lot for my IELTS test. I wanted to score a band 7, but I couldn't do it. The test for me was stressful and during the listening part I felt a strong headache. Now I have my results listening and reading 6.5, writing 6 and speaking 7, overall 6.5. if it wasn't for my headache I would have scored band 7. My advice is always be relaxed! Feeling nervous is prejudicial for this test! Good Luck for everyone 😊

Also would recommend actually writing out a few essays so you can get a good idea of the word count and the time needed to write. You can search IELTS sample essays and get an idea of what they are looking for. Good luck!

Dear Chris, I think what we need most are these simulated IELTS speaking tests. They are simply the best dialogue materials or short blogs as reference materials for us. With these simulated speaking tests, people don’t even need to pay special attention to the scope of each speaking test. Hi, I'm planning to take the IELTS exam next month, and I've been attending offline classes at a coaching center. My tutors there have repeatedly told me that I tend to overuse the word "so" when I speak, especially during the Cue Card session. I also noticed that the woman in the video uses "so" frequently, and she often repeats ideas in her sentences. These two issues were highlighted by my tutors, who advised me to avoid them during the exam. However, despite these mistakes, she's still achieving a Band 9 according to your scoring. My question is: does this really matter?

Dear Chris, I think what we need most are these simulated IELTS speaking tests. They are simply the best dialogue materials or short blogs as reference materials for us. With these simulated speaking tests, people don’t even need to pay special attention to the scope of each speaking test. They can just communicate with the examiner like chatting with a friend in this video.Hope you make more videos like this.😂

Hey Chris, I want to say thanks for your videos, they helped me a TON. I had less than 2 weeks to prepare for my test, and I was especially nervous for my writing and speaking tests. I binged a lot of your videos, watched and rewatched a lot of your tips during my break from work. I got S:7.5 W: 7.5 R:8.0 L:9.0 overall 8.0. The last time I attempted my test several years ago, both my speaking and writing scores were much lower. But your tips truly did help me a lot. I just saw my ielts result now, I registered for d exam and fixed d date to be for just 10days, it is my first time. When i realised from d sample questions, that it is quite a tough test, i started going through utube videos and saw like 3 of ur videos including this one. I got an overall band of 7.0 it could have been better but I messed up in writing 😢

Hi, I'm planning to take the IELTS exam next month, and I've been attending offline classes at a coaching center. My tutors there have repeatedly told me that I tend to overuse the word "so" when I speak, especially during the Cue Card session. I also noticed that the woman in the video uses "so" frequently, and she often repeats ideas in her sentences. These two issues were highlighted by my tutors, who advised me to avoid them during the exam. However, despite these mistakes, she's still achieving a Band 9 according to your scoring. My question is: does this really matter?
