I remember the game Unreal and then Unreal Tournament. Some of the most fun on those games. Level design was all boolean subtraction and so weird to me.
I forgot the mod. It featured these yellow bouncing balls that’d chase and explode while laughing at you. It was hilarious at LAN parties when you could hear your target screech. 🤣 So many great memories with Unreal.

I chose to learn Unreal Engine because the environment graphics look a little better than what Unity can do. But the metahumans.... OH BOY. That's where it has big problems as I can see. It's not even CLOSE to the metahumans that Unity can do. Even in 2024 they look so unrealistic. Look at all the games from Unreal, and you won't be able to see a SINGLE realistic metahuman. Not even close. Then take a look at "enemies" the legendary teaser from Unity 1 year ago. The metahuman presented is literally as realistic as it can get, it's absolutely crazy. So I'm not sure if I can somehow make the metahumans with Unity and then implementing them to look as good in Unreal Engine..

unfortunately, the most stable version of unreal is 4.27
unreal5 crash so many times can't recommend it.

I have been using ue5 its been fine for me but yeah it does crash sometimes
