How do you use the Roomba on a different floor? Do you have a second base station? or do you pick it up and move it? How do you tell it to start mapping a new floor?
Can we turn off it? Since pressing Clean is turning on and clean, I don't know how to turn it off. Moreover, I have a Jet M6 and notice that its battery deducts although without any operation. I just wanna know how to turn it off completely instead of Stand by mode, it would charge battery potentially
It has a floor tracker that it relies on when there isn't enough light for the camera. From what I've heard, it should still clean in straight lines even when the lights are off
I've posted a new video on how to clean the Roomba i7 as well as get rid of the full bin error. Check it out ua-cam.com/video/H2X0-8LHI2E/v-deo.html 👍 If you like the video please consider liking the video and subscribing to see similar content.
If I block it out if a room during its mapping runs (say, I close the bathroom door), will it avoid this room on subsequent runs even if the door is open?
Hi, I have one more question. I have a WiFi extender in my rooms inside as I have some walls which make WiFi weaker. Will it be a problem for roomba to operate . Or as long as my phone is connected to WiFi on any of the n/w be it any room roomba connects automatically ?
Can I create a schedule in which the irobot 980 will clean only selected rooms on a given day? Or is the option only in the i7 version? Im thinking which is better at the moment.
Hello. Nice review! One question… If I want to use it in different floor.. do I need to move the charge station to set the home base? Or simply take Roomba upstair? Thx
Not once have I been able to start the vacuum cleaning when I want to. The battery is always low and the vacuum cleaning starts with a couple of hours on the home base (where the iRobot is kept when not in use, so how can the battery not always be full?). Don’t get this product, it does not work
This vacuum is a total piece of a crap. I am a mechanical engineer and have been for 13 years and can appreciate a nifty contraption. I had this same model for about 3 weeks and all I can say is that it is not worth the money. First of all, it took like over 3 hours to vaccuum our first floor and did leave crumbs behind. It takes me like 30 minutes with our Shark Professional Vaccum that I bought for $350 without leaving a single crumb behind! The thing is is that little spinning brush on the side kicks crumbs around and the unit will not go back and clean them up unless you run another cleaning cycle. The unit would also get caught from time to time on something. On top of that, you need to also buy those disposable trash bags for the docking emptying tower. And those little bags fill up quick and are not cheap! I rather take the $800 and buy my wife a nice piece of jewelry for Christmas then deal with this thing! Glad I returned the damn thing to Lowe’s yesterday and got my $800 credited back. Whew! What a relief!
@Daniel Crawford it’s called the “Shark Rotator Professional Vacuum with Pet Hair Removal”. Honestly, you can buy one of those mechanized, electric-free sweepers to do spot cleans that costs $80.
Can you use the i7 roomba without setting up the app by just pressing the clean button & letting it go?

I only have 1 base station and I carry it to each floor.
To map to the new floor, just start it and it will detect it's a new floor.
Even if it’s the auto empty station does that need to go to next floor as well?
This device can save a lot of time

Thanks for your helpful video.
Is the home base (charging dock) 110 - 220 V, 50/60 hz??? Thanks in advance for your answer.
If the i7 maps a bathroom with the light on (no outside windows), does it use its map to clean it when the lights are off?
It actually needs a bit of light to work
It has a floor tracker that it relies on when there isn't enough light for the camera. From what I've heard, it should still clean in straight lines even when the lights are off
Does it work in the 120-240 voltage range?
Very nice review.
Thank you 👍🏻

How often do we have to replace filters ?
I believe they recommend, every 2 months. I replaced mine around 3.5months. It will also depend on how much you use it and how dirty your house gets.
@@HipIOReviews thank you !!

You'll need wifi to start it from the app, but I believe after that you should be fine.
@@HipIOReviews I just ordered one for myself. Can’t wait to see it move in my house. Thanks again for your reply
will it do doorsteps
Great review. Thanks!
Thank you
New subscriber - Excellent review!
Thanks 👍🏻
I'm also working on a Braavajet M6 review 😁
Nice review!! does the roomba scuffs your base boards? and if yes what have you done to prevent it?
It didn't leave any scuffs on my baseboards.

Doing a quick lookup the 980 doesn't seem to have smart mapping, so it would run the entire floor and not selected rooms.

Just take the Roomba upstairs, it will end where it started
Why he didn’t show what app to download. There are more than one. Dam….
Theres only one iRobot Home (at least on Android)
why is your roomba so damaging in the front?

Do you know if there's a difference between i7150 and i7158?
According to a iRobot " Those different numbers help identify those models as coming from authorized retailers. "
So it's the same, hope this helps.
Mine only came with safety information in 5 languages
NO real manual

I guess those robots are worthless for a house with dogs.
Great review 👍🏻 thank you
