We're celebrating three channel milestones by shooting a beautiful one-of-a-kind Winchester levergun. We'll throw in a few more dandy Winchesters just for fun.
"Made to be shot."... love it. I collect as well and operate with the same philosophy. Congrats on your channel's accomplishments. I am newer to the channel and very much enjoy your work.
I have a 1895 in 30/40 I was my grandfathers rifle. My grandfather served inthe front in France at 17 years old WW1. HE said the 1895 in 30/40 was as good a rifle Any one could want. He fed a family in Northeren Saskachewan with it and I still use it.
I once owned an 1985, 30-06 carbine, 22 inch barrel, straight grip. Loaded with stripper clips. Shot two Barren Ground Grizzlies with it. Loaned it out and it was destroyed in a house fire. I loved that rifle for hunting moose an caribou.
Love the old Winchesters. I wish I had more of them. The hard part of even owning the few I have is finding someone to pass them down to that will know and appreciate them. I have to go now and get a towel. I'm still drooling over the beautiful collection you just showed us.
"They were made to be shot." Truer words were never spoken! A great video Mark as usual and I look forward to each new one. Thanks for taking the time to share with us and congratulations on your achievement!
Back in 1990 or so my older brother, GOD Bless his soul, had inherited a Winchester in .405 Winchester. I was living in Dallas at the time and my brother was in eastern Missouri. I was working a gun show and found several rounds for the rifle. When I got home I called my brother to tell him what I'd found. I said "Mike, I worked a gun show you'll never guess what I've purchased." He said he hoped that it was any ammunition for the Winchester because he was at a gun show and traded it off. What a hoot! I wasn't out much and found someone that was interested in the one box. But it sure made me laugh. Sure wish he would have sold it to me but I really was financially strapped at the time.
As a Winchester and Marlin collector myself, I've been on the lookout for a "big medicine rife" for many years. The very few model 95's I have seen for sale in Cal. .405, demanded a much higher price than I could afford to pay. I am very happy you got got your beautiful "one-of-a-kind" at such a reasonable price, Lady Luck had her face shining on you for sure! I love your channel, content and the beautiful country where you live, please continue with doing what you do for your viewers. Maybe one day, before I tip over, I will be be graced with the luck of having you do some work on a couple of my old Winchesters.
As a poor young gun collector I’ve started my “collection” on collecting Ruger firearms. The vintage stuff. I picked up an older 1983 Ruger mini-14 with a beautiful wood stock this morning and I’m a happy fella. Good to hear you like collecting.
In Canada the 303 was predominate while it was 30US in States. I've hunted with the 95, they are all great shooters with that long site plane, only drawback, they are also a PITA to load. Your collection is beautiful sir !
Mark, we have the same philosophy. I couldn’t own a rifle or pistol very long without taking at least a few shots. That statement probably scandalizes some collectors but like you said “they were made to be shot”.
That .303 strikes me as a very good cartridge/rifle combo. I'm amazed that the re-issue 95s missed the boat on the absolute compatibility and practicality of both .303 British and the 7.62X54R cartridges for the 95. Talk about a missed opportunity to sell a half million more 95s.
Thank you very much for showing your beautiful collection of Winchesters that you are very bless to own. What an awesome place to shoot. Have a beautiful and blessed week. New Subscriber.
Neat, neat guns. I have a picture of my grandad, who was a rancher, a great horseman and loved to hunt, standing by a mulie buck he shot with a 1895 in 30-40. I now own the gun and have shot it a few times. A definite treat. He loved the 30 caliber and used a pre-64 model 70 in 30-06 to take most of the game in the western US, Alaska and even hunted Alberta, Canada. Keep theses great videos coming.
Cool opening. Congratulations on the milestones. A testament to you and your channel. Looks like you’ve cornered the market on pistol grip 1895 Winchesters. Love your videos. Keep ‘em coming Mark.
I have a bolt action 3006 my dad owned for many years. It's a 1917 model with peep sites it has been in my family for alot of years. Dad hunted alot with it.
Thanks for the great video on the '95! Despite having read any number of magazine articles, from the 1960s through the 1990s, featuring the '95 and viewing more than a few YT videos once the internet became a thing, I did not have the opportunity to handle one until late 2016. In that year I wandered into my favorite pawn and gun and found one (pistol grip version) languishing on the racks. I was privileged to handle the rifle but the price, which was non-negotiable, kept me from buying it though the store owner did offer to trade it for both of my much-prized Savage Model 99s. As much as I liked, and wanted, that '95 I liked my '99s too much to make the trade.
Honestly I've been getting into firearms from this time era. Going to have a lot of fantastic stuff on my channel as well, and this channel has excellent references. Keep it up!
Thanks for bringing us along as you shot that "one of a kind" 1895 with the provenance from Winchester to prove it! At 6'7" tall, I immediately noticed that 1895 with the longer LOP. It stuck out like a sore thumb to me after a lifetime of looking for rifles and shotguns that might fit me without modification. More often than not, I wind up adding an extension like someone did to that one. On my collectibles, I will buy an aftermarket stock, when possible, to modify for my long, lanky body. That way the firearm remains collectible but I still get to shoot it! Semper Fi, TreeTop (yes, TreeTop has been my nickname all my adult life!)
Cool rifle and really neat being so original. I really enjoy your videos. My friend just sold, at a gun show today, a Springfield model 1884. We didn't even get in the door before someone was asking about it. Once the buyer looked in the bore with a bore light he dug the funds out as the bore was in excellent shape. It was all original with no refinishing work that we could tell. The guy that got it knew exactly what it was and jumped on it quickly. I personally hate seeing old guns like this go, but it was acquired through an inheritance and I assume something that was not of interest to the friend that had it. It was too high of a price for me personally, but not for the guy that got it. I think it will bring him a lot of joy in the future.
Saw you hit 10k subs the other night, really happy for you! I remember when I came across your channel when you had around 600. Thanks for helping me remember how much I loved Winchesters. Hope a Winchester M1 shows up soon. God bless
Mark!, woohoo, let’s keep it rolling pal. I really don’t understand how your channel hasn’t attained 10x the subs you currently have but, in time “we” will get there…
I love those 1895s! I have one that was passed down to me that i have never fired. I believe it is in .257 Roberts. Have never been able to find anything on it. Probably a restored/rebarreled gun.
Wow, For sure one of your best videos. I loved watching you shoot the old Winchesters. Congratulations on the awards and viewer memberships. You do have a Great Channel. Always very educational. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you.
Thank you Mark. This is a truly apt celebration. The 1895 also appeals to me. I have passed on various dungers that have done their time in our NZ bush and will hopefully find a Browning replica. I would definitely change a Browning to pistol grip. Nice buy with #5175. Always worth a look when you have money burning a hole in your pocket🙂!
Huzzah! And congratulations on your milestones. Appreciate you taking us along for the ride out in that beautiful country and shooting some wonderful old guns. It’s big medicine for me stuck out East to take in those rolling hills and big blue sky! Thanks a plenty
Beautiful Ranch, Gorgeous Rifles you’re blessed! Love your channel, congratulations on the milestones achieved! The 1895 is my favorite as well, lucky enough to have a 30-40 made in 1909.
Congratulations on reaching those three milestones. I subscribed 4 weeks or so ago, and it seems to have lost me, so I subscribed again. I had an old .303 British model 95 almost 40 years ago, but sold it. It had been used pretty hard, and the barrel was all pitted from war surplus ammo with corrosive primers. They can sure ruin a bore. Anyhow I enjoy your videos and there is always something to learn from them.
Great video, and wow what a rifle! Especially to me, I'm one few that love most any the pistol grip levers, most seem prefer a straight grip! Being a Appalachian Mt hunter, I'm a Mod 64 in 30-30 devotee!
Not every day you get to witness history being made. I know you probably cringed at the thought but thanks for the firing demonstration. The others are beautiful as well and this comes from someone who really isn't into 95's. I have always wanted a 71 in .348 and as a retirement present to myself I bought one. I normally deer hunt with a Ruger 7mm-08 but this year I am using the 71 and so far have taken two middle Ga. deer with it. The 348 is a good round and takes them out quickly. If you haven't can you feature the 71's in a video? Thanks for your time and efforts and appreciate what you do.
I really enjoy your videos Mark, I look forward to them just like Roy Rogers on Sat when I was a young kid. You are truly blessed to live in Gods Country.
What Rare? I have a Model 94 Octagon Barrel RIFLE 32 W.S. Now that is rare. Even harder to find ammo for. I took it out about a month ago and shot it. It is so sweet.
I love how you said “they were made to be shot”. Great video, it makes me happy to see you having a fun time shooting an old rifle that a lot of people would just stuff in a safe and never take out.
Congratulations for hitting those milestones. I do not have a lot of Winchesters however I like them and enjoy the history behind them. I do have two replicas, well 3, a 73 Uberti half round - half octagon rifle, a 92 saddle ring Chiappa, and an 87 12 gauge replica I use for CAS. Your gunsmithing tips are well appreciated too! Thank you and keep'em coming!
Wonderful old Winchester Model 95 rifles; no plastic here. Thank you Mark for shooting the rare Winchester.
Admiring the backdrop. My goodness that beautiful country. Those Winchesters are a sight for sore eyes, hold onto your guns folks, 🇦🇺🇺🇸👍

@@SHOT_GUNNER Good for you, always enjoy meeting a young collector! Happy trails my friend.

I never owned one but I hunted black tail deer in Western Oregon in the early sixties it was a 30/06 caliber it was a good shooter.
Talk about finding a unicorn. That is one beautiful rifle, thanks for sharing it with us. Have a great weekend!

Great Channel you got. Love the western style and have a few lever action rifles that I did not lose in the boating accident.
I love watching your informative videos.
I have learned a lot about the old Winchester Rifles from watching them.
Congratulations on reaching those milestones. Always a treat when you upload a new video.
Four beautiful rifles and a wonderful story! Thsnk you.
Cool opening. Congratulations on the milestones. A testament to you and your channel. Looks like you’ve cornered the market on pistol grip 1895 Winchesters.
Love your videos. Keep ‘em coming Mark.
Beautiful indeed love those old guns.i would love to own one of those for sure.
I have a bolt action 3006 my dad owned for many years. It's a 1917 model with peep sites it has been in my family for alot of years. Dad hunted alot with it.
Thank you for all you do for us!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Good fun with some rare old Winchesters, thanks
Congrats on the milestones Mark! Sounds like your on your way to 15K and beyond. Love the Winchester life!
Love the NICE p/g lever guns AND the acoustics in that canyon!!

I just REALLY APPRECIATE the echo's off this hills when you're shooting.
Beautiful collection
THANK YOU SIR
I really enjoy your content and you are just down the road.
I was so sick when my brother lost his 95 in a storage building fire. Nice guns right there.
Thanks for bringing us along as you shot that "one of a kind" 1895 with the provenance from Winchester to prove it!

Love the fact that you shot the guns.
Great rifles. Great video. Love the echoes off the hills!
Thank you. Special rifles for sure
That was a great video , I know of a man who lives in Alaska that has a model 95 and it's chambered in 35 Remington.

Love these videos.
What a beauty!
Great fun with great old rifles.
Outstanding collection, I've been looking for a model 1895 in 30-06 that I can afford for a few years now LOL
Cool rifle and really neat being so original. I really enjoy your videos. My friend just sold, at a gun show today, a Springfield model 1884. Nice weapon but way heavy , Teddy must have been a strongest president ever what a beauty ! 🤠

Welcome aboard! Thanks so much for watching and subscribing.
Mark you are correct, they where made for shooting and one or two shots per ownership makes it a gun and not a display item !
Congratulations on reaching those three milestones. I subscribed 4 weeks or so ago, and it seems to have lost me, so I subscribed again.
