I still give boatloads of credit to the devs for pulling off these graphics on the Switch while four players fight with their palamutes/palicos running around together online. Truly commendable work!
This game engine was made by wizards, not programmers.
The RE engine is just so nice.

Was he in this video? Am I tripping and just can't see him? I was very distracted playing MHGU while watching so I'ma have to watch it again. But that makes me so happy that he's back. He such a badass monster nab, especially the Boltreaver Astalos. If you played MHGU then you know what I'm talking about, or at MHG, he was in both so.

I'm playing the Switch Online trial. Fun game. I'll probably buy it in the future but I have other games to play right now.

Yeah the support for rise was disappointing i ended up dropping it too, i want the same kinda support we got for MHW and iceborne.

For a split second during the trailer, i thought it was duramboros lol! Garangolms armor is just as amazingly chunky as Banbaro or Gammoth, i love it!

Event quests stop March 25th and resume sometime after Sunbreak has had time to be experienced. However, collabs will always happen through those quests because it’s capcom.

Currently playing the free trial of MHR on Nintendo Switch Online and having a great time
Deep down, it shows Capcom loves the initial medievil setting for Monster Hunter
Its mainly to do with Rise' initial themes - to have monsters based on folk tales/mythology. The base game was Japanese folklore monsters, Sunbreak is western themed mythology.
This looks absolutely incredibly amazing. Wow!🔥

Me too! My first time playing the series. I think the trial has done a much better job getting me invested than any previous MH demo, which were always way over my head. Letting people sink into the game for a few days is perfect.

I did get MHW with iceborne on ps4. At least I am familiar with the gameplay loop.
This trial definitely has made me a fan of the Rise mechanics. I love zipping around with the wirebugs then leading onto a wall run.
Had a battle where I dodged into a tree, wall ran around it and hopped off to safety. 🤣 whoa ok mah dude

So me have a Vampire Dragon, a Frankenstein Beast and an Icy Werewolf, this game is more golden age of horror than I thought.
You forgot the Goblin Raptors
Given his name is Garangolm I think he might be more of a reference to the Golem or Behemoth. Given that its more folklore/fantasy themed instead of pop culture (frankenstein is a piece of more modern fiction)
@@allanredhill8682 Frankenstein's monster is also a golem, namely the flesh golem, so that's something to connect the two
If Capcom does another DLC expansion for this game and brings back Gammoth, that'll be amazing. Heck, there are lots of old monsters I wish would come back. They made this expansion look so amazing and well done...
As per the past 20 years, this will be the only major paid content/expansion.
Prior to mhw, those expansions were a second "ultimate" release about a year later, it just evolved to a major expansion dlc instead.
Maybe free dlc monster but as far as expansions, this is it

@@jackjohnson8305 We're 3 for 4 on the Fated Four now and we even got VALSTRAX back in 3.0, so it's not too out there that we could get Gammoth back on New Gen and potentially get Glavenus back.
Is there a new weapon type? Thought I saw a claw type weapon in that trailer where the character did a spinning dive attack.

That wirebug skill for the LBW seemed like good for really huge and quite stationary monsters. We already have Shogun now, maybe we can have some good old siege mode? Maybe Shen Gaoren?? 😅
For thouse who are scared Sunbreak will be small keep in mind the Portable-Team always makes small main games but MASSIVE G-Rank expansions.

Also, the portable team didn’t make mh3 and mh3u, the wii u is more of a home consoles and the wii is definitely not portable
@@Stories-ji7lz actually the Portable Team did in fact made 3 and 3Ultimate, the main(homeconsole) team in exchange made 4 an 4 Ultimate a game thats exclusiv to a portable console the 3ds. Also GU has 93 big Monsters nor 98.

We need more forest and jungle locales in Monster Hunter Rise. Bring back Deserted Island, Old Jungle, and Ancestral Steppe Capcom.
We need water back in the game. It feels cheesy not being able to swim. Even if you can't fight in the water at least make is so the dog can do the battling while on him in the water at least. Or add a fish buddy for water levels. Something at least.

Ever since the newly posted video about the Insect Glaive Kinsects, Hunters now trying to theory making that the Jungle map would be coming soon, especially in the astalos part in this trailer

This might seem like a really far fetched idea but, it kind of looks like all these maps are actually one giant map? There seems to be a few spaces where the forest blends into the snow area, and the castle ruins... Plus when they fly into the snow area you can see stuff loading far off in the back, I wonder if there's a chance they managed to make a giant seamless map on a freaking switch!?
If you watched the monster hunter rise presentation, they state that "The Citadel" map consists of three biomes forest, tundra, and castle area. This particular map will most likely be bigger than any of the maps in the base game but's it won't be in style that you are thinking of. It is similar to how the map setup was for the Guiding Lands in Monster Hunter World
@@laxuspoldish6165 Yeah I also immediatly thought of the guiding lands - however this does look bigger then those. And it probably will have way more verticality given we have the wirebugs now. It really looks impressive imo. Ofc we gotta wait for the full release tho

Please talk to capcom and see about getting atleast one crossover event. Make it zelda themed so the hunter can be link, the palico midna and the palimute wolf link. I know it's ultimately still up to capcom even if nintendo is willing. But I still would like to see atleast the one nintendo crossover.
I'm still waiting for them to do a Doma-themed FFXIV crossover. Edit: Actually I am also still waiting for the PSO2 global release of the FFXIV collab and the FFXIV side of that collab.

Is this purely a downloadable content, or will they release a game card?.... eShop is not available where I'm from.
Even if they do release physical version, it would likely be just digital code in box (like MK11U), so if your Eshop "Not avaliable in this country/region", then you just have to pray nintendo lift this restriction before june.
Or you just can make new nintendo account of different region, and if your base game is physical, activate DLC on this new account. The saves/DLC's from old account most likely won't transfer though, so you have to make a fresh start this way.

It is sad that there will be no physical version of the full game . Sunbreak will be a DLC code inside the box .They even don’t have a proper box art , with only a small Sunbreak logo on Rise box.

That's just basically what they did with Monster Hunter worlds(which is the game that came before this one) DLC Iceborne. They added an extra few hours of gameplay and that looks to be what Sunbreak is doing!

I think its based on both.
I thought Golem/Behemoth. Seems to be more folklore themed and frankenstein is a pretty modern piece of fiction (tho im sure there was some influence there)
