There are many less expensive suppliers of Euro windows, for example Seemray or Vermak. Note that the labels shown were not official NFRC. These windows could get you in trouble in some jurisdictions. A house can't be Energy Star certified without NFRC windows, although I doubt the owners of this home care about $5k tax credit.

the label has valuable information on solar heat gain coefficient 0.54. An Andersen LowE4 Sun is about .025 but you can design for heat gain or no heat gain depending on orientation and climate. It appears these windows were designed to be very clear with a vet of .71 and have a high heat gain. Think south facing cold climate.
On a tempered window, are all the panes tempered or just the interior? In hurricane rated windows, is it both exterior and interior? In triple gazed, is the middle pane tempered?
Where I live in the woodland urban interface we are required to have one tempered pane. The manufacturers don’t like to say such pane so I can’t use WUI for safety glazing since a window on a walkway needs exterior tempered and a window
The SHGC of 0.54 is very high, thus this is why your VT is so high. Do these windows not have any Low E coatings? I'm currently working on a home build and I would not want windows with these high of SHGC values. The solar heat gain is going to be very high in these rooms.
For the climate zone of the build in the video, Northern USA, a high solar heat gain value is generally desirable. Energy Star Certified windows in the Northern Climate Zone must have a SHGC of 0.20 or GREATER. Whereas windows in the Southern Climate Zone must have a SHGC of 0.23 or LOWER. So 0.54 is not bad, it's what makes sense for this build. I'm replacing the windows in my older home in the Southern Climate Zone and have a quote using the same brand that produced the frame in this video, Aluprof. There is no standard glazing for Aluprof frames, no standard SHGC. You must select a company like Saint Gobain or EuroGlass to supply the glazing. And they'll produce a glazing product to meet your desired SHGC with many low-e treatments available. My point is, you can get windows like the ones in this video that work for your project, assuming they are within your budget. So yes, these windows have a relatively high SHGC because there isn't much low-e coating, if any. And no, you would not want these EXACT windows in you build. But that's fine because no window vender in their right mind you sell you these exact windows. They'd alter the glazing options to meet your local building code and your needs.

He said something to the effect, look how high the VT is. Well, yes, because the SHGC is very high.

I’m surprised they weren’t more than that. I paid that much or more for Andersen E series with alter interior.

The frames are Aluprof imported into the USA from European Architectural Supply. Not sure what was used for the glazing.

If you are able to utilize and tune the overhangs to block the sun in the summer and let it in during the winter then the SHGC doesn't matter as much
