The Memorial has The Hall of Valour. It contains the story of every Australian to earn the VC. Brings me to tears every single time!!

Onyin Pearl, thank you for playing this group and these songs. Long before this song was written, I experienced the words in Vietnam. I brought my best friend home to his parents. I thought I was tough and I could face anything. For 50 years I have lived with the pictures in my head and the pain in my heart. Vince Gill wrote this about his brother’s death. I think he originally started writing it about another singer who was a friend of his. Have always loved this and remember my grandparents with this song. ❤️❤️❤️
You are correct. He's a gifted song writer for sure. He also wrote the song Pretty Little Adriana in memory of a 12 year old girl who was shot in the parking lot of a supermarket in Nashville, TN. Her name was Adriana Dickerson. She went back to the car to get change for the bubble gum machine and was caught in the crossfire of a shooting. She was found still holding a quarter in her hand. I lived in Nashville at the time (1995) and this was such a sad story to hear reported on the news. This was at a time before hearing of children being gunned down in our streets seems like a daily occurrence. Sorry, I digressed but reading the comment just brought me back to that place

This song was sung at my husbands funeral! Such a powerful song...this version is beautiful...the original by Vince Gill will Year at your heart strings
As a veteran, I feel this song down deep. I come from a long line of vets. Every generation down to mine has served in one branch of the military or another. My mother's parents both served in WWII as did grandma's sister and three of grandpa's brothers. Two of grandpa's brothers did not make it home alive, and one of them was never recovered at all. My dad served in Vietnam, a couple of cousins, my brother, and I served, my self in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. The next generation skipped serving, but my eldest grandson is in the Army now. I lost many non-blood brothers and two sisters in the military during my service (close friends I served with). This song always brings tears of loss and tears of pride for my family and military siblings, that they had the strength and bravery to pay the ultimate price to protect our freedoms and our way of life, and those who made it home to carry the memories of what they had to do and who they lost and continue life in honor and memory of those fallen heroes. Thanks you for your kind words at the end, speaking for my brothers and sister at arms, we appreciate your gratitude for our sacrifice. All gave some, some gave all!
Never apologize for having emotional reactions to music! I have heard this song so many times since Vince Gill released it, and I have never made it through without tears. It is just that powerful. Home Free taps into that deep emotion and keeps us wanting more! Keep your beautiful soul open and your reactions true, be blessed! ❤
Vince added a third and final verse to his song he performed at the Rhyman Auditorium in 2019 during the Christmas soul. He felt it was not complete but unfortunately he makes no plans of doing a new recording. You would have to watch the Ryman Auditorium. The verse is perfect.
I clearly remember the telegram that announced my brother’s loss in Korea in July 1950. I had just turned 3 and pandaemonium came to my home. Now I’m 73. Somethings you do not forget.
I Can’t stop crying. As a mom of an active soldier of 5 years so far, this was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Very happy you reacted to this one. Thank you for your heartfelt emotions.

The original was such a beautiful sentiment by one of country's best. Written by Vince Gill for his brother another country artist. Keith Whitley passed away and this was his tribute to his brother and in the 30 plus years since has brought peace to so many. So thank you Vince Gill and we still miss Keith Whitley so much!!!

Like us or hate us those of my brothers and sisters who never came HOME ...your reaction and tears are the reason they gave their all...NEVER FORGET !!!
the emotions are as it should be for all of our Military and their families, I see the eyes of those who have come back, some now in their 70's 80's and 90's, and the hurt they feel now for this country that they love. I will never forget the words or the pain in the eyes of the ones who have held their friends as they died during battles.
I seriously thought no one could sing this better than Vince Gill. I'm 61, raised with the best music ever....nothing better than a re-do and you guys did it so well, I'm crying....One of mine and my dad's favorite songs. THANK YOU.
I've had the awful pleasure of playing this song 3 times for brothers that I have lost. I miss them all every day. John, Jackie, Bobby I love you forever
My family had this song played at my father's funeral, we have a family grave site it sit on top of a little mountain he always said he wanted to be buried on a little mountain and that was before this song .So when we heard it we cried and decided to play at his funeral and also my brothers and sister can't hear it with thinking about them and we all cried .Best song ever
I cry every time I hear this song. I sang it for my mother’s funeral service. I had played for years and singing and playing in front of people was natural. I got through the song without breaking down, and I can only attribute that to a lot of years playing in front of drunks, but ever since her funeral I can’t do it anymore, this song is so special to me. Thank you to Vince Gill for writing since a beautiful song. It belongs with all of the great music ever written.
This was beautiful and your reaction got me tearing up. We all lose loved ones but the promise of heaven tells us we’ll see them again. Have courage and be of good cheer. Loved your reaction!
Wow! First time hearing this song! I am a pastor. I am often asked for a Country and Western song that suits a Christian farewell. This is my new favourite! I only listened because I am a massive Home Free fan!
Thank you for showing such heartfelt respect for our humble heroes. It's not very common to see nowadays. People only want to complain instead of reflecting on how good we have it and why that's the case. Thanks again!!
The heart of country music is what pulls at the heart strings and forces you to dig deep into your emotions, and make you think of those who have gone on, no matter how they went.
I am setting in my chair my crying eyes out and i have watched this performance many times, but your reaction struck home with me Thank You for a great reaction
My grandfather fought in WW2. Our family has the love letters between he and my grandmother. This song is so well done and is such a blessing to all of those that lost loved ones.
I've loved this song for years. My great grandpa and I would listen to the ricky van shelton version and cry. Also, I've never wanted to give someone a hug so badly in my life. Lol I'm glad you enjoyed the song.
My grandfather passed away a couple months ago at 92 years old. Every time I hear this song from any artist it gets me crying. This song has a really special meaning to me because of how much of life he lived. Thank you so much for listening to this song and giving me the chance to hear it and to hear your feedback on it. It is both beautiful and crippling at the same time.
The first note breaks our hearts... the rest of the song cleanses them. Vince Gill released this song first years ago and it took my breath away. When I first heard Home Free's cover, It hit me harder than it just did to you. Bless you for sharing your heart with us.
There is a Civil War in Myanmar, civilians being slaughtered, the on going genocide by NATO backed ISIS terrorists continues in Syria, Libya & Iraq. The Economic war by the USA continues against the people of Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Iran, Yemen, Syria & DPRK causing the starvation of millions. The western backed genocide in Yemen. The US backed ethnic cleansing of the Semitic people of Palestine by Zionist war criminals. The continued ethnic cleansing of the Indigenous people of the American Continent. I agree, NOBODY has to lose somebody they love, but western wars based on lies have slaughtered millions, and its the silence from the citizens of the world that is equally to blame. I saw children in Ireland being shot at by British imperial occupiers, the same is happening in Palestine and Syria, did you know the Coptic Christians {speak Aramaic) support Syrian President Assad because US/NATO/Israeli backed terrorists target Christians and kill them. NATO soldiers are fighting for to wrong team. Was Creates unnecessary deaths. War archives nothing. Every honest Soldier desires peace.. Its corrupt politicians who desirer war!

Chills & tears every time…I want to wrap my arms around you and just give you a good old southern hug
the emotions are as it should be for all of our Military and their families, I see the eyes of those who have come back, some now in their 70's 80's and 90's, and the hurt they feel now for this country that they love.
THANK YOU.
Im sorry for your loss Mr. Gill ! This song has made a huge impact on my life! Thank you !!!!
God and Country for ever thank you for your Reaction to this video
Music heals the soul. This was actually written by Vince Gill in memory of his brother.
A man much wiser than I said.....there is no greater love shown then one lays down his life for another
I can never listen to this song without crying. Never! Played it at my husband’s funeral 😭
Thanks fam ❤️
No matter who sings this song I always cry. RIP who gave their lives for this country.
Oh, my beautiful sister, I'm right there with you. Beautiful harmony, those fellas, can sing❣🎶🌟🔥
Oh my🥺🥺... thank you so much for watching ❤️
God bless everyone here. We’ve all lost and loved people. People that deserved much better, and much more.
Bless you too fam 😘
This song makes everyone feel that way, if they have a soul.
It makes me cry the moment the start singing . Such a real and honest and beautiful song .
God bless your sweet heart darling. What it shows is your values are where they should be. Hugs to you.
The song with your tears girl humbled me so so much. With the love of God nothing but a tear will explain the last sights of a man or woman.
This is such emotional song made me cry this night
If you can get through this without crying... more power to you... always bring me to tears when Home Free sings it
Watch Go Rest Hing on that Mountain by Vince Gill, Patty Lovelace and Ricky Skags. It will touch your heart and it helps.

I had the honor in elementary school to get to raise and lower and fold it each day🙏❤️🇺🇸
I am a Mullins too, from Southwestern Virginia.. Coal mining area.
My grandfather fought in WW2. Our family has the love letters between he and my grandmother. This song is so well done and is such a blessing to all of those that lost loved ones.
That's exactly how I react every time I hear this song
Your tears, makes you human love it
I've loved this song for years.
This version is beautiful. The original was done by Vince Gill. His voice will touch you to the tips of your toes.
If music like this doesn't move your feelings....I have to wonder if you have feelings. Powerful, powerful song.
Beautiful..Meaningful song that touches the soul😔 Keep it up, stay blessed!
The first note breaks our hearts... the rest of the song cleanses them. Vince Gill released this song first years ago and it took my breath away. When I first heard Home Free's cover, It hit me harder than it just did to you. Bless you for sharing your heart with us.
Bless you too fam... thanks for watching 🙏❤️
i played this song at my son christopher's funeral 25 years ago
5:19...same feeling girl! I love Home Free and this song!
Girl you steady be having me cry on your channel!
Awww🙈🙈... am sorry sis 🥺
And that's why we stand for our anthem and our flag...RESPECT FOR THOSE WHO NO LONGER CAN! Peace!
Listen to Vince Gill do this song. Vince wrote & recorded it after his brother died.
Yes. I was going to say the same, Maxine.
The film of him at George Jones's funeral. That one hits me hard every time.
@@jerod5636 ..That was so sad. Patti Loveless had to carry him through that.
There is no greater gift that a person can give than to lay down their lives for others.
My wish for the world, in 2021, is that no wars start, and NOBODY has to lose someone they love.
Having served my country for 20 years and losing several friends in combat and suicide, this had me tearing up instantly. Thank you for sharing this.
This song was played at both my grandparents funeral 😢
I joined you. You are the best proof that we are all one people. I am a Vietnam Vet and you touched me. Love you young lady.
Perfectly normal reaction to this song.
This was played at my mom funeral... Breaks me everytime I listen to it. Love it
❤️ Now, look for “Far Side Bank of Jordan” with Alison Krauss. Another beautiful song.
