Late to post sorry. I love my PWS 6.5 creed. It love the 147 ELD just as much as my Rem 700 6.5 ceed does. .35 MOA all day from both. Thanks for the great videos as always.
@@davidrichardson4782 no issues with mine. I don't forsee any that will arise other than standard maintenance. I'm sorry to hear that your DD is messed up.
@sagedynamics 2 years later, less of a sponsorship with PWS, and other semi-auto 6.5M options from Sig and others...do you recommended other platforms to consider against the MK218 Mod1-M?
In regard to recoil. Were you able to keep your target in your optic when shooting at distance? Or were you able to spot for yourself/see impact? How about on your PWS 308? Trying to decide between the two calibers. I am set up for 308 but would love a rifle I could maintain sight picture with after firing. Great vid!! Thanks
Please balance your music volume and then speech volume within the first two minutes. Going from loud music to you speaking I had to re adjust the volume so I can hear your commentary. Fantastic content as always.
Always look forward to your videos. No BS just straight forward information and impressions. Keep up the great work and I hope your 2019 turns out to be everything you want it to be.
I hope this comment makes it to you. I have been looking into ballistic helmet and I was going to buy the one from CPG. I then came across your video on their helmet and thank you so much for doing it. after a little more research i found Hardheadveterans. Before all of the discounts that CPG offers the HHV helmet is a little cheaper. But the testing and all of the data that they have on their helmets is right on the website. HHV even has a page comparing the pros and cons between their helmets and competitors' helmets. I recalled that you brought up back side deformation in your CPG video, and on the HHV page they have what they claim is published results on the opscore helmet has similar deformation to the CPG. I am going to be buying one because it seems to be the best bang for the buck. In your CPG helmet reveiw i remember how you wished that helmet performed better for its price point. I truly believe that the Hardheadveterans helmetis worth looking into and I certainly for one would love to see anther ballistic helmet video. Again I hope this comment finds you, I am new to your chanel but i really enjoy what I have sen so far. Also I have a PWS mk116 and i absolutely love it!! www.hardheadveterans.com/ I am not affiliated with them in any way.
@sagedynamics I am curious about the performance of this rifle while suppressed. While suppressed, what is the condition of the ejected brass? Do you get extractor swipe/extrusion? I had an AR10 in 6.5CM with rifle gas that would eat up case heads while suppressed. I also had one with a +2 gas system and bleed off gas block, still i would get ejector swipe on the case heads. I am wondering if the long stroke piston of the PWS would be the cure to the mangled brass that I would get out of my other suppressed AR10's. Thank you
I have the mk220 in 6.5 that I'm having accuracy issues with. 2-3 moa with Hornady 129, 140, 147 etc. as well as other match grade ammo. Even hand loads didn't improve things. To me, that's unacceptable for a $2300 rifle. It's already been back to PWS once. While they claim it shot 1.5 moa, I didn't experience this. I have high quality glass - Vortex Razor Gen II 4.5-27. I run that same glass on my RPR in 6.5 that shoots 0.4-0.5 moa. What moa were you getting with the mk218?
You need to talk to PWS, they have great customer service and if your rifle is performing poorly with all sorts of ammo you prob got a bad barrel or something, let them know and I bet they will replace it for you.
I've never seen it for myself, but i've seen a few big names claim that scope mounts that have vertical instead of horizontal halved rings suffer from zero shift. very small amounts, but enough to make a half minute group a 3/4 minute group and so on.
Dude that fucker rains hell on a bitch for real for realz! 6.5 in a ar is just wicked! Wonder if this 6.5 cartridge will see the field in a spec op dmr type. Replace the sass
Been waiting for this. I am surprised Pws hasn’t made a Mod 2 216 series yet. I have the Mk1 216 and I really surprised they haven’t made a lighter thinner rifle yet. It’s a bit bulky
Thanks for doing and putting up the overview video. That caliber really put on the “hurt” on your at-distance hanging steel! An interesting caliber that’s for sure. Happy New Year man!
Great content as usual. I have not had the same success with cans. As a lefty I eat so much blowback it sucks. That is doable, but the mirage through a magnified optic out here in AZ can be brutal as far as the view of your target. Im glad you’ve had better luck with yours!
I know it's a tad late, but have you tried the cans from AMTAC? They feature an "over barrel" design, that increases the volume significantly, and is supposed to help with that gas blowback. (Never tried them personally, currently looking for an older model of theirs to test.) That said, I'm surprised that you have bad gas blowback even with a PWS. I thought the piston system would have already mitigated quite a bit of that, no?
@NonDescript I like to use an MLOK Manfrotto mount instead of a HOG saddle, but the tripod is what I really need..I have a good Manfrotto tripod but it's made more for camera equipment instead of shooting

PWS is King! Sorry if I missed it which can do you use on this rifle? My grandfather who was an excellent long range shooter always told me optic + mount should be 2x cost or greater than the rifle cost.
Anyone own one and can let me know about accuracy? Most of what I found online say they are battle rifle accurate meaning not very accurate lol. Trying to replace my lmt mws cause it's not very accurate. Edit... got mine today! Looks and feels really nice. Gonna give it a shot tomorrow
@@sethrich5998 I love it. Shot the hornady bthp and eldx both sub moa. 5 shot groups Some were .5 with a first round flyer opening up to 1" after pulling out a chambered round I did notice a scratch on the bullet itself. Doesn't seem to effect anything but gonna do a good cleaning and see if that helps. I put up a few videos trying it out with the thermal this weekend. Got a pig, coyote and Jack rabbit
@@RockinRack Hey that’s good to hear. I heard they had some reliability and accuracy issues but most of those complaints seemed to be from earlier iterations of the rifle. Glad to hear it seems they’ve worked those out now. Definitely not a lot of information out there on current versions. Mines supposedly going to be available around July - August. A whole 9 months plus. But I used to work in the industry and have discounted pricing direct through PWS so I’m fine with the wait if it’s a good rifle. I’ll mostly be hog hunting as well with some PRS type match shooting. Excited to get my hands on it.
@@sethrich5998 yeah a guy told me that he uses the 218 in 6.5 for competition. So I figured it must be pretty good. I saw some issues but yeah they seemed to be on much older versions. Just a well built rifle for a nice price. Honestly feel like it's under priced. Super smooth, fit and finish are perfect and it is definitely capable of sub moa. I didn't test it much for accuracy just cause I wanted to get the thermal on it. And I had a magpul bipod that belongs in the trash.
