- The Order of Applying Makeup ✨ If you’re a beginner and you’re confused about the order in which you apply makeup, here is a guide. There’s no wrong or right way to apply makeup, but this video is for people who are looking for the steps 🤗✨

At 37 I’m just now playing “catch up” with the rest of the class and finally trying to learn how to do skincare/makeup. I know these steps might seem obvious to many, but this clip was incredibly helpful for someone like me. Thank you very much! 🙏❤️

Yep yep 45 here. I understand
1. Moisturiser / Sunscreen
2. Primer - blend with fingers
3. Foundation - blend with beauty sponge
4. Concealer - blend with smaller beauty sponge
5. Contour - blend with brush
6. Setting powder - set concealer with powder puff
7. Bronzer - blend in circular motions (add warmth)
8. Blush - add to cheeks
9. Eyebrow gel - fill in eyebrow hairs
10. Mascara
11. Lip liner - then lip stick - then lip gloss
Don’t forget setting spray after foundation and again before mascara!

@@Tinnibinniprimer is necessary, because makeup has chemicals that can be harsh if applied directly to your skin, and you want your makeup to blend smoothly, you will need a primer.
My mother once said to me, "the key to wearing makeup is to make it look like you're not wearing any". You do that and accentuate your gorgeous features, well done👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Actually, if you're a newbie, you might want to try putting your concealer under your foundation because it might be a little more seamless if you don't know how to blend properly. That's what they did before social media influencers. One pro tip, ALWAYS BLEND UP. Especially things that add definition to the face like blush and contour. Blending up pulls the face up. Blending down can pull the face down and no one wants that

The order of applying makeup is important this is why a pro makeup artists ,makeup will look flawless. You do your eyebrows first if you please it depends on the type of look you are going for. Whenever i want to do a natural makeup look i do what she is doing. Start with cleansing and moisturize first thou . Applying makeup to your face just like that wont allow you to protect yout skin if its dry or you just start seeing your facial oils mixing with the makeup . The roll of a MUA is to design, maintain and apply. Am not saying everyone will be a MUA or Like makeup to that extent but applying it correctly can not only help your skin but boost your confidence from the out come.

@@lovelizz278 Don't be , I started makeup just like anyone else trying it myself until I got someone to teach me . But makeup is like this, it has different methods for different out comes or styles. But if you get the concept then you can achieve what ever look you want.

There is no right or wrong way to apply makeup! Just do what's best for you and own it flawlessly! Make up rules can be broken, it's called TRUST THE PROCESS !

She said correct order . Which is one of.Break the order and your makeup will crease, look oily . There are some steps that are a must . Moisturizer is the only step i wish did mention first. Its like acrylic nails miss the vitals steps and they will fall off .
There is definitely a wrong way...for e.g. you don't apply primer after foundation..

Do you mean when applying makeup and concealer, must only apply once to your face and not to apply more for coverage?
@@ssonkogarvey hmm more of putting them on your face at the same time and blending them together to make it seamless. Instead of the common foundation-blend-concealer-blend. The science behind it being that we avoid stacking up the layers(especially around the undereyes) to lessen the chances of caking ☺️

@@ssonkogarvey just try it out! Not every tip works for everyone since our skin is all different! For glowy base a few drops of face oil mixed into your foundation could work! ❤️❤️
@@Rosa-mj5mt this is how I apply my foundation and concealer and then sometimes go in with a small amount of concealer to touch up any blemishes still peaking through!

@@redblasphemy9204 a filter would diffuse any texture along her nose bridge and even eyelids. I think that's just her skin!! Praise God for blessing her

It’s how I do my make up too. No worries about smudging your foundation or eye shadow fallout

1 cleanse, tone and moisturizer
2 eyebrows
3 eyeshadow primer then apply eyeshadow
4 eyeliner
5 mascara
6 use moisturizer to remove any eyeshadow fall out from under your eyes so under your eyes don't look muddy
7 primer
8 concealer
9 Foundation
10 contour
11 blush
12 lip liner (if needed) and lipstick

I watched a video like the one you did because I didn't know anything about foundation. I never used foundation growing up. When I found out what you have to do to apply makeup I nearly fainted. It really depends on your own style, experience, end look, tools/products available within your area ect.
When I do a full face, it's in this order: skincare, oil/moisturizer, sunscreen, then primer. Eye makeup comes first so I can clean up any fallout. I would do the concealer and contour before the foundation, I find that foundation on top softens the contour and better helps to blend and set the concealer. Set the base with setting spray, then go in with warmth with blush, bronzer and highlighter, set that then lips and done. I find sprays work better than powders to set my face without cracking, creasing or caking.
The skincare happens regardless of makeup.
