That's why the blue team had less time to plate up the food and the they fell behind on presentation.

Probably my favourite MC canada episode ever, micheal playing the team challenge perfectly all the underdogs showing up and all of the threats in elimination with one of the best cooks so far eliminated, just fantastic.
Michael is a genius not just because he chose level headed guys as his teammates who would listen to him, but also because in the event that his team loses he won't have to compete against the top cooks in the elimination round. He'll be fine even if his team lost.

Andrew was too cocky after losing the team challenge when he refused to accept responsibility as team captain. That’s why I was glad when he got forced into cooking in the pressure test and getting sent home.
matthew is a great leader. he knew what each of his teammates best capable with and he encourage and assure them with the way he communicate and praise his team.
With all the "top" chefs in the other team, if they lose, one of them will HAVE to go. And if they win, Michael won't have to beat any of them in the pressure test! The guy is a bit theatrical but that was a genius move. If they didn't change the rulss and bring anyone back, Michael would have achieved the desired result too lol.
I love Christopher. He is talented but humble and works really hard. And never underestimates others but himself. Perfect chef no overconfidence but should be confident
The fact is that Andrew's team members are strong cooks individually and that's why the moment they're put in a team, they immediately bang heads. In contrast, Michael's team members are not that strong compared to Andrew's but they can work together. I think Michael's team is an example of emergence where the group performs better than the sum of its parts.
I have never understood why anyone cooking food on these programmes does not wear a hair net or cover of some sort? One of the most stomach churning things is to find a hair in your food.
As soon as they were called to taste the fruit tart, john went into ultimate supersaiyan focus mode , David became more serious then ever and line went into military mode. French desert (hardest) with double elimination oh they knew it was do or die. Andrew still was emotional and cody took it lightly and that is why they lost.

They agreed to come on the show, I'm sure it's less than ideal to have a full camera crew present at your wedding but I suspect MC footed the bill otherwise idk who'd agree to do their wedding like this. Michael used his BIG BRAIN. Big personalities and strong cooks always clash, cuz they all think they're the ones who should be leading the charge. And in some cases rightfully so cuz they have performed the best, but in a team challenge where co-operation is more important? The underdogs who can work together will win everytime.
