- MasterChef Canada S02 E09 Full Episode: Chef Graham Elliot from MasterChef U.S. appeared as a guest judge for the mystery box challenge, the theme of which was small ingredients. Tammy, Sabrina, Jon, and David made the four best dishes, and David won. Targeting Christopher, he chose sea snails. After the home cooks grabbed their ingredients from the pantry, the judges announced that they had to switch ingredients. Line had Jon's ingredient, Jon had Jennifer's ingredient, Jennifer had Sabrina's ingredient, Sabrina had Tammy's ingredient, Tammy had Christopher's ingredient, Christopher had Michael's ingredient, and Michael had Line's ingredient. Christopher and Michael made the two best dishes. The worst two dishes belonged to Jennifer and Tammy; Tammy was eliminated.

Line's and Tammy's friendship wasn't talked about enough. From the auditions till Tammy left, they were wonderful friends, always having each other's backs.. It was beautiful to watch

David will always be my favorite homecook, he doesn't get overly confident but is always proud of the dish he's presenting. He always seems inspire and ready to fight, you can see he's under pressure and worrying but none of that is dragging him down to reach his goal.

David just gives me a good guy vibes. He looks kind and there is a softness and kindness in his face and eyes. He looked so smiley and happy when he was talking to chef Elliott. My fav so far. He got a lot praises from chefs. Must be good!

Love Graham, very mild mannered and encouraging to the home cooks. The most personable judge
I gotta say I love Masterchef Canada for the Judges being so... relatable? They critic on a nice level and very rarely get angry - and then there is the US version, where there is just screams, food thrown away and gordon Ramsy.

Ramsay is harsh and comforting. Tbh I love chef Michael but Ramsay reminds me of my mom, wo whom I'd not be where im standing rn.
It's not just the judges. The contestants seem to have mutual respect for each other even if they are at odds and that to me is healthy competition.

Yeah. If someone somehow hasn't seen what a lovely person Tammy is until now, the reaction of the other competitors really tells you all you need to know.
@@lajebenjamin8492 untrue. She did very well and only collapsed in the tag team challenge. She even recovered her scallop mousse without eggs.
My ex-wife (now deceased for two years this Thanksgiving upcoming) and I spent many hours consuming this and several other cooking shows.
It's rather poignant to watch this and be unable to pick up the phone and say, "You gotta watch this," or, "I just left the store and I'm headed to your house to replicate this challenge," etc.

The result could have been different if he had his original one.... Besides it's not an underestimation. David just stated that Christopher is usually known for dessert skills so seafood might not be in his alley..

David might have chosen the conch because he thought Christopher would have struggled with it. I think David knows Christopher's potential. David did say he wanted to take the strong homecooks out.
this elimination was kinda a pity for Tammy man.. not her fault the basket she got only had sweet ingredients in it what else could she do

Yes they are! Especially Michael, this also reminded me of the time when the judges in Masterchef Australia literally cried along-with when one of the contestants became emotional on being eliminated. MC Canada and MC Australia are the best shows.

It's actually fair play that these are basically scheduled for 6pm UK time every wednesday, can catch up on the series properly, especially as so used to have watching the entire 7 seasons in clips.

The minute I saw some of them tossing out the good ingredients that some of the other chefs picked I knew things were gonna go down hill fast. Micheal practically gift wrapped that win with a good mix of ingredients that any wise chef would know how to use for solid results. That is what helped another to pick up a win he would have gotten if he had that basket.
Its extremely painful to think that Jon is dead now ...

Hi there! I'm from Argentina and I do not follow the show, just happened to be watching it today. I didn't get quite well the first challenge selection mechanism. The judges didn't try the dishes from the participants that weren't called. ¿Were they just choosing on the looks? ¿What's the point of cooking if nobody is going to try your food? =( On the other hand I really like the humble attitude of the judges and the cooks are so skilled. Congrats!
Tienen diferentes tipos de pruebas. En los mystery boxes, el punto es que quien gana consigue una ventaja y la presentacion del plato es importante para ello. No es tanto sobre quien hizo el peor plato sino quien destacó por presentacion, sabor y creatividad. Hay otros como los team challenges, los pressure tests…
