Only certain musicians can make their instrument speak to you. Joe is at the top of the list !!!
This is 100% my most beloved guitar instrumental of all time. Such a fucking beautiful song
Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett (Metallica), and Alex Skolnick (Testament) all took guitar lessons from Joe way back when no one knew who any of them were. Just to give you a little background on Joe Satriani.
My all time favourite Satriani track.... Play it over and over and never get tired of hearing it.
Apparently it was written for his dad and there's only one video of him playing this live on you tube.
The man is a genius and a really nice guy as well.
One of my all time favorites!!! 100% masterpiece!!!! Would love to see this live. Seen Joe live many times but for some reason he has not pulled this out of his bag of awesomeness.
Joe has been doing this since,(not of this Earth) and iv been following him ever since. No ONE HAS THE TONE'S AND THE PHRASING LIKE JOE! He has made very good living and won Grammy's with instrumental music it's not easy to do. It is for Joe he's the best!
"Flying in a Blue Dream" is such a well put together album and generous with the tracks too.
True, but Joe shouldn't sing, though. I think even he admits that now.
@@RolandDeschain1 by that standard, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and Bruce Springstein shouldn't have sung either. 🙂
@Payne2view yeah they shouldn't 😂
Playing is one thing but to compose this masterpiece is special
Greatest, most emotional guitar solo ever recorded
Saw Satriani live years back. Such a good concert. I could name so many songs for you to react to but wouldn't know where to start. Sheezus this man is great.
One of the albums Deep Cuts…that gets past over in place of the commercial tracks!
One of my favourite JS songs….I remember playing this on my Sony Walkman!!
Satch making that Ibanez sing!! One of my favorites, love it!!
This has always been my favourite Satch track.
finally, someone doing the forgotten part 2.
5:50 no one can make guitar cry like that
Unusual choice by you guys. But holy shit thank god you did, this solo is one of his best.
I own that album I remember that particular period in Joe‘s career so well. He had just received his chrome signature guitar, don’t remember make or model. Looked so iconic. He‘s the master. He could make the strings sing like a baby, weep like a child. Love guitar music.
Not many guys on that level. Perhaps Vai… surely Bonamassa.. Malmsteen… but Joe’s style is unique
I'm gonna watch this reaction again......
One of my fav!! So good, "The Extremist" is another one
I love you guys reacting to Satriani (pronounced with a short A like sat). We need more reactions to him and Steve Vai too :)
This whole LP is a GOOD-UN..."Joe Satch." He's one great guitar "virtuoso." Ya'll would probably like the band Chickenfoot...you'll recognize the members maybe.
My funeral song hands down.
this album is full of solos masterpieces
Yes. Yes yes yes yes!
Do more Joe, please. Check out Rubina from the Time Machine live album. The last four tracks on that album are one continuous recording from a 1988 show in San Diego that is amazing. Circles, Lords of Karma, a drum solo, and it finishes with an epic performance of Echo.
Yes, yes, yes! One of his best songs and full of emotion! For those that don't know, Rubina is Joe's wife of almost forty years.
The best song of Satriani...
You chose Joe's best song. Great taste.
1st minute of the song is him easing into that insane crescendo... When he gets to that then he bulldoses you.... And I have to say I'm enjoying the excitement in your eyes as you're hearing this because that's what I feel when I hear it it's just something that will never be duplicated...
My favorite Satch song.... It's intense
This song is the best song by Satch in my opinion!! I play this song often...my death song. Well I'm not gonna die any freaking time soon. ...but it'll be my song,. You guys have taken me a back with your reaction! I'm crying yeah
you're gonna have to check out the phone call and big bad moon on this album as well very interesting songs as joe sings in these songs
Another unique fact about this album.....Joe actually sings some songs on this album as well.
WOW this is so damn good, so glad you guys reacted to this I had not heard it before
1990 may I was lucky to hear it 1st time real loud on big home stereo at my buddy's, guitar just carries you away eh!
This is such a hard song to play. I'm still trying to learn it.
Increible joe !!
to summarize Joe's music it's the guitar that tells a story.
Whole album just gives me chills every time
Flying in blue dream
I keep expecting the next number to start, because I have listened to the whole album so many times. 😂 the Bells of Lal, pt. 1.
I did not want that to end.
Best guitar instrumental ever.
My favorite album.
4.27 feel the emotion of the notes
🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟😎
It is quite a ride isn’t it?.😎
The Forgotten (Part 1) is intro fingertapping
Joe has sung on a few, giving out a spoiler. Check out Big Bad Moon, Strange, Ride, I Like the Rain, I Believe. I'm sure I'm missing one…
4:50. Chick is tuned in, dude's in 3 places at once. but his comments made sense immediately heh. that wide intervalic or whatever tha fug arpeggio thing at 5:00 is nasty.
Imagine an opera singer singing this song!? Just saying....
Maestro!!!
For me Satch best Album Release so well balanced
the wolf what??? satriani!!!!
Check his song Rubina
Really good review but I wish you wouldn't have stopped it in the middle of the 1st solo....I understand the excitement though
If you're going to compare this song to an action...I hate to say it but it is like light 4play into the main event..iykwim. 😉...then slowly dying down after the act..lol. j.s. i.e. smoking a cigarette.
They listen like they're listening to a hip hop music, I'm not sure they listened at all
