  • Building A Pole Compass For Easy and Accurate Earthbag Construction
As we begin our first major off-grid earth bag build, we knew that putting together a pole compass would make this go faster and be more accurate. After the addition of this, it's time to start filling some earthbags.

Those aren't just rocks....they are 'gabion gold.' By far the most unique and creative off-grid build on UA-cam. So glad you're not just another long-bearded hipster hillbilly-wanna-be trying to notch a 6x6 for a post and beam shed. Go earthbags!

@@ourselfreliantlife We're in Arizona as well, but up north in the mountains. I love the tank. It looks like a great idea. I'm thinking a couple of large tanks and an overflow like that is excellent. Great lid too. No chance of collapse or possible drowning. I'm impressed with your ingenuity.

When you build the tank make sure you have no dead space and can drain out 100% of the water. Put down sand for a barrier to the ground for the liner.

Maybe think about making the bottom a little lower on one side by your entrance above..
So at a point in time
If there becomes a need to completely drain the tank it should be easier...
(Lets say to clean the bottom)
(Or lets say to search for a leak and be able to install a patch)
