Slappies look sooooo simple when others do them 😂. Wish we had more slappy blocks out here. The park was pretty fun-still surprised it's the only indoor one in the state of CT!
Thanks, Simon! I was surprised to get the back 50-50-one of those moments where I let my mind wander off, and the next thing you know, I'm trying them out and landing one. Hope you have some downtime coming up and enjoy the holidays! 🌲
Second I saw that rainbow rail, I thought “I would totally love to try that. I’d bust my butt, but would like to try it” I’m used to skating in the street, so it always takes me 5 mins to get used to the slickness of my garage or skateparks
Such a fun little feature! I think this is the second one I’ve done. It looks really intimidating at first, but after a few attempts to figure out the lock-in, it’s not so bad. Each time, I’ve worried that the back wheel would catch towards the end, but in reality, that’s not really possible. I’m always overthinking these things! 😂 The slickness of the park took a bit of getting used to, but luckily, I had somewhat softer wheels, so it wasn’t as bad for me as it was for one of my friends on 99s. He really had to work for that extra grip!
SICK video you all looked like you were having so much fun! Man I was sitting here having fun as well, such a cool video! Anyway yeah I have been wanting to try Slappy's as well I really like riding curbs it is fricken fun, and I am struggling with nose slides so I have been debating slappy grinds, found a couple of good curbs for it just need to get up the courage to send it! Again GREAT VID!
Thanks Wes! Love when I get to skate with other people, its like we're all kids again hyping each other up! Think slappy's are fun, didn't take much to start to get a grind. Wish we had more curb skating areas or places I could wax curbs.
Spent an entire day doing shuvs. Hopefully, that vid might be up in a week or so when the holiday madness simmers. Super fun time-wish we had maybe one or two more indoor parks.
Thanks! Slappys are so hard-can't grasp the concept without lifting up the nose. Not enough curbs around to spend time on them either. I was super lucky my wheels held for the most part. Literally watched someone drop in, and with one slight weight shift-bam-straight to the ground. That’s when I was like, “Okay, I’m just doing a straight line back and forth.” 😂
Thanks Scott!! Yea wasn't ready for impact of slippery wheels. Thankfully the bones wheels i've been skating held pretty well. Might brave the cold over this park in the future.
Yoooo!!!! Now I know you on the youtube 😂 Definitely hit the mario cart banana peel but think we all hit them throughout the session😂 still nailed the rainbow rail and thats all that counts.
Thanks! Super fun, just a bit dusty-could use a regular mopping. Luckily, I had Nano Rats 56mm 93a (I think 39 wide). They held up very, very well, even when caked in dust. One of the friends had to switch out the harder wheels he was skating because it was pretty slick.
What an amazing little skate park. Fair play for first time slappy's, they've been doing my head in for a while

Dude, you absolutely rock! So much great stuff in this vid, love the boardslide to Fakie and getting into 50-50 BS, really !!! 🤯

@ thanks mate, you too. Have a lovely Christmas holiday ✌🏻
That's a cool looking indoor park. Looks like you guys had a fun session dude! 🤘🛹👍
Thanks! The indoor park was fun-perfect for staying out of the weather. We definitely all had a fun session!
🤙🤙Fun session!
Absolutely!!!🙌
nice place to skate during cold weather
Absolutely especially when everything else is covered in snow. Still couldn't believe it was uncrowded for a weekend.
Great time.
Sure was!!! Hoping for some warm weather next week to get some outdoor park sessions in!
Such a sick video mate, everyone was ripping.
Thank you!!! So much fun, great to kick back and enjoy a park with new friends!

Nice job slappying bro... I can't not lift my nose too. The dudes that do them are sick w it though

Nice session. Especially liked that late shuv from Spencer. 🤙🏼
Thanks bro! Spencer was killing it! Think at one point he was trying impossibles. Tried explaining late shuvs to me but my legs couldn't understand.
@ I need to roll shuvs first. Late shuvs might be a while for me. Looked like a good time though.
Spent an entire day doing shuvs. Hopefully, that vid might be up in a week or so when the holiday madness simmers. Super fun time-wish we had maybe one or two more indoor parks.
@ There are 0 indoor parks near me. Can't wait for that video..
@@ChongcoSk88 I got you 🙌
Oh and I rock bones filmers wheels at the slippery spots, they're 80 durometer but prevent death pretty well

Solid session, moving indoors when you are used to concrete (or vice versa) is tough!

@@OldBrokenSkater I find you warm up quite quickly when skating. As long as its dry and not icy, outdoor parks are my preference!
Definitely warm up quick on the cold days, here the buzzkill is the wind. Outdoor parks for the win!!!
Sick video! I hit a banana after the rainbow rail.
Yoooo!!!! Now I know you on the youtube 😂 Definitely hit the mario cart banana peel but think we all hit them throughout the session😂 still nailed the rainbow rail and thats all that counts.
Love that place. Great work. Especially loved the rainbow grinds and those 180 Ollie’s off the bank.
What wheels were you using in there?

@ That’s what I found too. My softer 93a Dragons worked better for me indoors on wood ramps whereas my 99a Spitfires were scary slippery. 👊
@@Steves_SkateXplosion yep sounds about right! 99s are like ice skates in a park😂
What park is this?
This is Hive or Hive Skate Shop in New London CT
