Sell gears to get the X100VI? What are your thoughts?
Honestly I can't see a fixed focal length camera as my only alternative. Not at all. Wouldn't allow me to express my style of photography as I shoot a lot ultra wide and tele. It may just be good as a secondary camera, to carry with me when I want a svelte, nimble solution.
Xs20 is one of my favorite cameras ever. As far as APS-C id easily take it over any other APS-C. It's such a good camera.

cmon we all know you wouldnt sell all your gear. the x100vi is a complement, not a standalone
I almost did, gotta admit! I got quotes from B&H, KEH, and Adorama, and they're offering me around $1000 less than what I paid for my gear when it was new. They're still asking me to ship everything to them with their provided shipping label, but I managed to resist my FOMO thankfully!
I was in the same boat as you. I had the V and sold it during the hype and picked up the X-S20. I preordered the 6 and deceided to cancel it. The 6 is not that small once you add a grip and hood. The X-S20 I think over all is a better solution with the 27mm. Now if I could only get the 27mm. Plus I really don't want 40MP files. By the time the software upgrades come the X-S20 will be just as good minus the 40MP.
I am glad that I am not the only one who struggled with the gear dilemma! I also think the X-S20 just has more versatility especially for hybrid shooters. Now if the X-PRO 4 comes out I will not wait a second to jump on it lol
wish I had kept one of those 27mm f2.8s from when I had them to use with my X-H2s to make it lighter.
How is the handling when you put the 27mm small pancake lens on a X-H2s? I am just curious.
i have the x100vi and i absolutely hate it. the write speeds to the SD card is the biggest bottle neck . The AF tracking while shooting seems fine and the LCD shows that its latching on to the subjects pretty fine, but once you review the images, the hit ratio is less than 50% - don't fall for it. i am going to be selling mine
Thanks for letting us know about the write speed. I definitely feel the speed difference when taking photos between my Fujifilm and Sony. Sony just feels a lot more responsive and snappier
I heard the same thing when the XT5 launched. It seems like they still haven't got it figured out yet.

My opinion: after some cameras, a long time ago. finally bought a Fujifilm X70: fantastic camera that I really really regret when sold. Trust me....the retro look and the metallic finish was a dream BUT, the reason was fixed lenses and no IBIS. After some time I went over a sony A6300 (fantastic) and then I went over Sony A7: fantastic camera too at that moment with a fantastic 16-35 F4 OSS. But all sold because I realized that if is not small and compact, I dont go to take photos very often. Then I started to compare all my photos, (nex 5, sony RX100, Fuji X70, A7) and i realized that i'm not a great photographer, no matter the camera...it's the photographer and Luminar/Lightroom skills what makes the photos that I envy, so...I decided to return to Fuji, something compact. XT200. Fantastic camera, trust me. And then sold again and I bought a 2nd hand XS10 AND some lenses: XF23F2. Xf50F2, Sammi 12mm f2 and I kept the xc 14-45 that came with the XT200. Now, if I want to go for landscape, I'm covered...if i want to go doing street photography, I'm covered...If I want portraits, I'm covered, and i'm trying to decide if I buy the XF27F2.8 wr, which I love and will make my gear compact, or just buy a RX100 VA. My experience with the RX100 MkI wasn't great....I don't know if you can get more IQ than my phone so, probably I'll go for the XF27. ....X100VI? Of course yes!! but I think it's hype. Even with a full frame most of my shots looks the same than shooted with an apsc (unless the 16-35 F4 OSS with the sony A7, tripod , filters and long exposure), so....what's the point on buying a 1800$ camera with fixed lens? Of course if I had the money i would buy ALL the cameras, because I love cameras, but....I understand you because I use to buy with my heart and no with my brain so...go ahead.
I ordered the x100vi, but it's off from stock! Sold my fujifilm xs10 with 3 lenses as an idiot to get it 🙈😅 now i regret it alittle bit. Im thinking of buying the xt5 with pancake lens as daily and getting one more lens for more pro work or cheap 7artisen lenses as i had om xs10 and they work nice for videos !

Same! I would definitely keep the X-S20 and used X100VI as a secondary camera if I have the money haha!
I had the x100v an said it would be hyped an I thank this will come back to haunt them ... if anything move up to xt5... Now the big question is fuji better put out pro 4....quick....
Man I hope they will come out with the X-PRO4 soon, I will hit that buy button so fast...
