Ne Obliviscaris is great. Australia still has a grandiose Be'lakor to offer. These guys are not to be missed. But honestly, I'd love to see your reaction to the Gods of Metal Wintersun. Any song from Live Rehearsals At Sonic Pump Studios

Amazing reaction, thank you! You definitely have to check out more from these guys. Forget Not or Devour me colossus. Both tracks equally amazing. My personal favourite from these guys is a track off their first album - Of petrichor weaves black noise. It’s scarily beautiful. Thanks again and enjoy ❤❤

It's funny because in terms of complexity, I think And plague flowers the kaleidoscope is one of Dan's more simply composed songs.

Great reaction! My favorite part was when the singers start going off and realizing Jeff is freaking out about the bass drum before he says anything 😂

Ne Obliviscaris is great. Such a sense of musicality and composition in extreme metal is a rarity. This song was even good enough to make it into the curriculum at the Sidney conservatory at one point :D
Please continue checking out Neo, but also more metal bands in general. There are so many greats out there, that would be up your alley. My first suggestion would be Periphery with "Reptile" as a more epic entry or marigold.

This song is/was taught at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Quote from the Professor
"I will be presenting “And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope” to the composition students at the conservatorium next semester as an exemplar in structure, mixing timbres, meters, modes, how to approach virtuosity, sound and noise, extended performance and techniques.
Musicians deserve to hear the music of NE OBLIVISCARIS, and the music of many other metal bands, in order to appreciate the compositional complexity that lies within it, no matter what their musical tastes."

Over the course of about a year, these guys have become by far my favourite band. To the point where I question if my previous favourite bands were even really any good :-D If you want to listen to what I'd call their magnum opus, go for Painters of the Tempest. The whole thing is worth listening to (it's split into three major parts: 1) an instrumental intro, 2) the core of the song with three movements, and 3) an instrumental outro) but if that sounds like too much, Painters of the Tempst Part II: Triptych Lux as a standalone is still where it's at.

If you liked this genre-bending metal that incorporates fun instrument and musical choices, you have to check out Eluveitie. They're a Swiss folk-metal band who also have two singers, one harsh, one clean, and among other things they incorporate the violin, tin whistle, flutes, bagpipes, harps, the oud, and the hurdygurdy. You've never heard anything like it. Trust me.

Thanks man, I just subscribed to your channel, it is amazing to see that you are genuinely interested and excited about what you are doing (so many fake ones nowadays)! I have a couple of suggestions to you of which the first one is metal, a band called "Opeth" and especially their albums from 95-08. The later albums are very good also, but their musical direction changed there a bit. Songs to start with could be for example the songs "When", "Reverie/Harlequin Forest" or "Bleak". The other one is not metal, but please do not be alarmed, it really is a great song for anyone regardless of their musical taste: Eivør - Falling Free (Live at the Old Theater in Torshavn). It truly is breathtaking, musicianship at its best!
Take care man and thank you for your content!

Here's an instrumental band that will blow your mind from South America. Vitalism. Check out their song Pagan 2. Very technically insane band mixing progressive metal/Djent, with jazz and latin music. Absolutely ridiculous. The guitar solo will blow your mind.

Hey man, nice reaction! It seems like you havent listened to a lot of Metal musik, love to see people to check out new genre! There is a Band calles Iapetus, 2 dudes that are very very good on guitar and the last EP featured Dan Presland on Drums! If you find the Time i would recomend "Creatures such as we".

@@StrateleStudios I figured it was a bit out of the norm for your channel, but the bass player is the unsung hero of this song. I know a lot of people don't appreciate the growl vocals and it's not as musical, but the entire bands' ability to play so on beat for every note and be so creative and technical at the same time has won my heart! I hope some people discover and really appreciate the band :)

It’s been a while since they toured the states. Seen them 3x and they sound consistently great every time!
Unfortunately, Dan Presland has recently left the band. I’ll miss his style, imo it’s like melodic drumming if that’s even a thing.
I recommend Devour me, Colossus or painters of the tempest part II, intra venus.
