Everybody suggest Plague Flowers, but I believe that Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise is very underrated and is one of their best songs along with Tapestry of the Starless Abstract!
Tapestry and As Icicles Fall are probably my 2 favorite tracks from Portal Of I. Tapestry because of all the cool bass lines and the clean interlude, Icicles because in my opinion I think Xenoyr's harsh vocals really shine through in the last half of the song. When he screams "Mother" at the end I can really hear despair in his voice.
I'd just about give a leg for someone to react to Of Petrichor Weaves Black Noise. It's a damn beautiful song.
Those twosongs you refered to, are indeed way underrated, and, in my taste, more elegant than APFTK, but Libera Part I - Saturnine Spheres, Eyrie and Urn Part II - As Embers Dance in Ours Eyes are as magnificent as Petrichor and Tapestry.
Try Forget Not.
Ne obliviscaris - and plague flowers the kaleidoscope.
My personal favourite by them.
Painters of the tempest part II is a must!
Carlos Gonzalez YES DO IT
Yes dude!!!!
Saw these guy live in Melbourne about 5 years before they released their very first album. They were a support band for another local band. No one knew them, a crowd of maybe 50-100, and all of our jaws were dropped to the flow. I discovered the band Portal and Synthetic Breed the same way. They are amaing. Hail Australia! Edit: I think It was in 2006!
I for one, am envious
Glad to see you liked it. All of their stuff is of high quality song writing. Keep checking it out.
You look as blown away as I felt the first time Ne Obliviscaris hit my ears lol
Goddamn beautiful. Sends shivers down my spine.
Ooooo some NeO. Hell yeah boii. Try out Intra Venus by them my dude or And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope
Couldn't agree more with these two suggestions
From a production standpoint this song is an absolute masterpiece! Should definitely re-visit some more NeO
For Australian melodic death metal, please please check out The Smoke of Many Fires by Be'Lakor..... beautiful!
All NeO tracks are great. For long time i disliked Pyrrhic and now started loving it. Would like to see your reaction to this
That outtro in Pyrrhic is one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard!
I think 2:49 on Pyrrhic is the best that NeO have done, and one of the best bits of music I've ever heard.
I like to call that the "neO" effect. The first Ne Obliviscaris song I listened to (forget not) was a pretty bad listen. I didnt like it so I moved on. next day arrived and I was listening to it again, because I wanted to hear a specific part that sounded neat. Fast forward a month and its was and still is one of my favorite bands. Every song just gets better with every listen
Very nice! Glad you found this band so I can check them out more.
Urn 1 & 2 are absolutely cathartic. A deeply emotional piece🙏🏻
One of my favorite songs from the urn
Great video.
Ne obliviscaris is one of my favorite bands.
My recommendation : anciient - buried in sand
Voice of the void is such a good album
They are the new "Opeth" if you like Opeth from the first 15 years. You do need to check out their video for "Intra Venus" and maybe check out "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope." Both are more dynamic than this song. This song is great, but doesn't really show you the shredability...
Just seen NeO live this week and they do sound much fuller with a better sound mix and have absolutely ecstatic climaxes in their compositions.
I have a mellower recommendation, the first thing that came to my mind when thinking of an under-appreciated but stunning music video. This is from the Welsh band Panic Room from 2010: ua-cam.com/video/QA1zV9NLkCY/v-deo.html
Nice, good band out of Oz...violinist is the clean vocalist, a separate singer on harsh vocals. I like their bassist .
Triptych Lux is their magnum opus, I suggest you check it out!
Nick Hume thanks Nick, I will!
Interesting band, never heard of them before for some reason.
Here is another suggestion: Ayreon, really good progressive band (chances are you may know them already). Here's a very amazing title from their last album: ua-cam.com/video/oFuMKdrzPqU/v-deo.html
This is probably closer to your tastes than my last suggestion.
Alternity666 hi Alternity666, I did a reaction to them a few weeks ago, check it out! Cheers, Jim.
Ohh I don't know how I missed that one, interesting. Thanks!
I'd love it if you reacted to either Arch Enemy's "Nemesis (Live at Wacken) Or In This Moment's "Roots", many thanks :)
i just drank 2lt of pozole while listening to
