i FINALLY decided to watch MoM so I can understand Wanda and Billy better. It was taking me out every time Wanda said she's a MOTHER. She thinks shes Reba 😭🤣. But more importantly this movie is EXCELLENT!!! I need to catch up on the MCU now. *ALSO* i talk through a lot of my thought process and come up with theories as I watch, most of them ended up being wrong lol, but don't worry I understood at the end!!! How did y'all like MoM when you first watched it?
I'm so glad you liked this, I think too many people didn't get it. I love this movie but it helps I was a Raimi fan (particularly the Evil Dead franchise)
In the first episode of Agatha all along when she was in the library looking for the stolen book the man behind her told her that every copy was burned implying that it was the darkhold destroyed in every universe by Wanda
Lol yes I know, but my point was more so that Billy was just under her nose and all her pain and suffering would come to an easier conclusion than giving herself to the darkhold. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
@@Square-ow7oq What are you even saying? Scarlet Witch heard her kids in a different universe. For 3 years that sigil was on William’s body. There’s no clear timeframe on how soon after Wandavision MOM occurred. Either way soon as the dome left Billy went into William’s sigiled body for 3 years and Scarlet Witch couldn’t find him 🤷🏾♂️
@saintmcclaire571 what are you even saying? Tommy didn't have a sigil, and wanda didn't hear him either. The sigil was not the reason she didn't hear Billy
I'm so glad you got that it wasn't Wanda choosing to be evil. I think people need to realize Wanda wasn't the villain in the movie, the Darkhold is. There's a reason we're shown many universes where Stephen sees how he had been corrupted by the Darkhold and the point is finding a way to overcome it which is why they work together at the end to destroy it. So i think Wanda will need to heal when she comes back but it's only because of what the Darkhold did to her and made her do

"'I can't believe that she's powerful enough to, like they said, enslave the entire multiverse, like she did in Westview. So then, how powerful is Billy?" Yes. Although MCU Wanda is very powerful, she still pales in comparison to her comic book counterpart. I'm gonna list down some sources of her power and feats in the comics. 1. She possesses two types of Magic in her arsenal, just like in the MCU: 1.1. Witchcraft - When Wanda's mutant origin was retconned, it was revealed that she came from a long line of Scarlet Witches/Warlocks, having unique magical power of their own; and 1.2. Chaos Magic - this is the oldest and stated to be the most powerful form of magic that grants its user the ability to harness the chaotic forces of the universe (Primordial Chaos, which is said to predate Creation), and can then be used to change the natural order of things. When her and Pietro were experimented in Mt. Wundagore, the Elder God of Chaos, Chthon, had unkowingly made connection with her by giving her a portion of his power in hopes that she would become his future vessel. This lead to her affinity to this magic being established. With this magic, Wanda is able to: *Control All Reality *Control and Travel through Time *Create universes and pocket dimensions that she can keep in glass jars to imprison demons *Create life out of nothing and erase people out of existence with ease simultaneously *Resurrect herself *Alter the physical laws of the universe *Transmutation, Elemental Manipulation, Bio- and Telekinesis, travel to different dimensions/universes, and many more i have failed to remember. In some of her latest comic series, Chaos Magic is being set up to becoming more than just magic. Also, it said that Wanda's Chaos magic is different from Chthon and other CM users. 2. The Living Darkhold - Wanda merged with the Darkhold to imprison its author, Chthon, in her soul. Being the Living Darkold, she has full access to the book's power and knowledge of all the dark magic. 3. Life Force - being a Nexus, Wanda was able to harness the power of the Life Force that greatly amplifies her use of chaos magic. She warp the entire world into one in which the mutant species are dominant, and then proceeded to depower more than 95% of the mutant population with a three-word spell "No More Mutants." It was eventually revealed that this spell affected so many worlds and dimensions, and billions of souls. It reached the entire Multiverse, making it repeatedly break and repair in the process because of the cracks that formed across all realities. Furthermore, Wanda's spell even spread throughout the Omniverse and had woven itself into the landscape of magic. Even Doctor Strange was unable to undo what she's done. 2. Nexus Being - Wanda is the very Nexus Being of Earth-616 (Marvel's Mainstream Universe). Nexus beings are rare individual entities that have the power to change probabilities and the future, thereby altering the flow of the Universal Time Stream. They act as a living conduit to all known magical energies of the universe, and as an anchor to the Multiverse, maintaining its overall coherence and stability. They personify the characteristic of their universe, and they embody True Free Will, since they are the agents of the Queen of Nevers. It is said that any children born to such beings will be powerful to stand among the Great Forces of the Universes and rock the cosmos itself. This role of Wanda is pivotal to Billy's becoming powerful. In the comics, Billy is destined to become the Demiurge. A sentient life force that seeded the Earth with pieces of its essence essence, giving birth to the Elder Gods such as Gaea, Set, and Chthon. According to the Marvel website, the Demiurge is an omnipotent cosmic being. So, it stands to reason that Billy can become more powerful than her mother, someday. Suffice to say, the Maximoff family are one big powerhouse. 😅

Maybe they'll delve into that in future projects, but my god, the woman is POWERFUL. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
@briianasimone Also it was said that the Celestials in the comics tried to prevent Wanda from having children for the very reason that her children could potentially threaten the entire universe (and as the OP said, could stand against great forces of the universe). So what did they do? Pair her and make her fall in love with an android so she couldn't have a baby. But we all see how it turned out. In Billy's case, he's could become the being that can even rewrite the rules of magic that could potentially change everything. Thus Lilia reading his "The Magician" card. He can make his goals into reality. (which basically every reality warper does.) So if we talk about their destiny, Billy is really the bigger threat than Wanda.

Yes, lol you must've caught the video before it got blocked. I had to edit around some scenes for copyright 😩. And????? Really, let me go back and look. That's so cool
Thank you for your video reaction! DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS is the most important MCU Phase IV film. It introduces us to the Space-Time Platform, the magnum opus of Victor Von Doom, the Greatest Marvel Supervillain of them all. The Space-Time Platform is the device that was used 1,000 years after Doctor Doom in the 31st-century to make the Multiverse what it is. It is the basis of the technology used by the Kangs and the Time Variance Authority. It also introduces the concept of Incursions as explained by 838-Mister Fantastic. AVENGERS DOOMSDAY will open with an Incursion event caused by the presence of 616-Monica Rambeau stranded on parallel Earth 10005. Doctor Doom will bring about the destruction of all universes by means of Incursions. It also explains the key role of the Scarlet Witch and the prophecy involving her. During an Incursion event, while variant New Avengers from Earth 616 battle variant X-Men from Earth 10005, Doctor Doom will use his Space-Time Platform to prevent the suicide of the Scarlet Witch. Doom will convince Wanda that both her destiny and redemption depend on her wiping out all Kangs and the TVA. Backed up by a Multiversal Army of Ultrons outfitted with indestructible adamantium shells and enslaved to Doom's will, Wanda will do just that, obliterating the old Multiversal order. This causes the Cosmic Worldtree of stories to unbind in Infinite Incursions. The Multiverse begins to die. And Doom will remake it in his own image.
Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it💕 and thank you for this mini Marvel lesson!! This makes me even more excited to catch up for this next phase. It seems like it will be magic/sorcery/supernatural heavy and that's exactly what I love.
I can see why Illuminati thought Strange is bigger threat than Wanda. (Though still is false assumption). Cause between Wanda and Strange, Strange has better grasp on using magic. Wanda just has stronger power but Strange has better knowledge of magic. And it was theorized that Strange has photographic memory. So once he reads the Darkhold, whether he loses the book or not he will still gets to tap its powers cause he will only memorize the contents of it. And besides who's currently the corrupted one in that scenario? So I don't understand how they thought the 616 Strange is larger threat than 616 Dreamwalking Wanda.

@briianasimone great answer and it makes sense... I will be coming back to your channel after tonight's episodes for your review. Keep up the great work God bless you
None of what I'm about to suggest is mandatory, but it does provide tons of context. For the character through lines of Wanda, Billy and Agatha, you should watch Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, (Wanda) WandaVision, (Wanda, Billy, Agatha) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (Wanda, Billy). For the thematic through lines of Witchcraft, the Darkhold and Demons, you should additionally watch Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 4 (Darkhold, Demons), Marvel's Runaways Season 3 (Darkhold, Witchcraft) and Marvel's Helstrom Season 1 (Demons, Witchcraft). (All three seasons are pretty standalone.)
Ouuuu thank you for the homework!!!! It's so fun watching MCU projects when you understand them, so I'm definitely gonna follow this. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
@ oh, if you wanna experience the MCU as a whole, I’d definitely suggest going to the MCU Wiki and getting the timeline watching order from their timeline page. This is just a short list of the Witchy side of it all! 😁
Speaking of the so called “threat” that Dr. Strange could have been for their universe, the same can be for Wanda because they all kept saying she capable of controlling the universe or even in Wanda Vision when Hayward tried to convince her that she could bring Vision back on line. I just feel like they have been gaslighting her in everything recent she’s been in. Smh.
They have!! I understood what she meant my the hypocrisy because everything she did Strange or another Strange attempted to do. She's been their punching bag kinda, but we're supposed to still root for her... idk I hope she gets a follow-up movie or something 😅
They replaced the director n the middle of filming and the new director Sam raimi never watched Wandavision and made her the villain. Originally the movie had her mentoring America and they were battling a different villain. They ignored her agency and character arc
This makes so much sense. It would've been better to see Wanda heal through mentoring America, but what do i know. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
The writer for this movie (Michael Waldron) completely butchered Wanda's character development. I like to pretend it doesn't exist and say that she just disappeared without a trace for a while, just like in the comics lol.
Nooo, but i kinda see why. She doesn't feel like the same Wanda, but i guess that's because of the darkhold. I just felt bad for her while watching. I mean... she's a MOTHER 😭🤣 thank you for watching and commenting 💕
This movie looks good but the continuity is not there. Wanda went from hearing "her children" calling for help at the end of WandaVision (I can only assume that is some kind of hallucination created by the Darkhold because Billy went elsewhere) to being totally on board killing kids and destroying the multiverse. And we few weeks ago people were saying it was Lilia's fault for putting the sigil on Billy. I didn't like that talk at all. Billy says he can sense Tommy. Tommy has no sigil on him. Ergo, she should've been able to sense Tommy.. but she doesn't? Makes no sense. Only reason I can come up with is the Darkhold's manipulation. So... it's not Lilia's fault. Billy's powers are similar to Wanda's ish, but not an exact copy. He's also a Multiversal entity. There's a statue of him, as Wiccan, in the temple here. In the comics, he was also the creator of the Utopia America Chavez lived in with her two moms before they changed her origin story.
I agree about the continuity issue. I heard someone once say, "Clear communication doesn't leave room for confusion or interpretation," and i think the movie and the use of the darkhold in general has a communication problem. Yes, there's always implied context, but when you can explain things about different phenomenons in the MCU, you can spend more time developing and explicitly telling the audience about the effects of the darkhold. We've gotten the repeat line "the darkhold corrupts everyone who uses it," but more importantly, how does that manifest? The common thread I've seen with characters who've used the darkhold: Agatha, Other Strange, and Wanda is that it makes them obsessive without reason and humanity. Wanda would've never harmed another child, Strange wouldn't try to force a Christine variant to love him, and Agatha wouldn't have killed thousands of people. So that's my thought process on what we're supposed to assume about the effects of the darkhold, but they could've gone into more detail about tbh. And like you said, the continuity about Billy and Tommy doesn't make sense unless Tommy also has a sigil and is experiencing the same thing as Billy... writing wise, Agatha is superior, but this isn't an isolated show, which is the greater MCU problem
@@briianasimone and, like, why does Agatha seem like mostly herself but more willing to kill when she has the Darkhold and the third Strange has an extra eyeball? I would like to understand this process. I know it's magic and maybe it depends on the person but it all seems very vague.
Gets introduced as the smartest man alive. Proceeds to give away advantageous information to his adversary unprompted. 😂 This movie has a lot of fun elements, but the writing is whack.

@@briianasimone You could watch the season and do a review for the whole thing, or just watch it for your own pleasure. It's quite good.
@ushijimawakatoshi1429 thank you!!!!! Like why are laying out a play book for this man when he told you Wanda was ON her way. It was hilarious, but it set it so that he'd dream walk later on, but STILL 😩🤣 thank you for watching and commenting 💕

Great video! You haven't been watching any marvel stuff.. what made you watch Agatha All Along? Just curious
Thank you!! And yeah the last thing i really got into was Wandavision, I really loved it. I actually watched all of the Falcon and Winter Solider (just cause idk why lol) it was pretty good tho. Before that, I've seen most movies leading up to Infinity Wars except for the Spiderman Homecoming trilogy, so I have knowledge of the Thanos of it all, but i haven't kept up with the MCU since.
I love supernatural stuff just in general, so getting into Agatha was super easy. It also reminds me of Disney Halloween movies i grew up on like Halloweentown, Twitches, and Hocus Pocus. Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
@briianasimone great answer and it makes sense... I will be coming back to your channel after tonight's episodes for your review. Keep up the great work God bless you
MCU horror = Werewolf by Night, Multiverse of Madness, Agatha all Along!
Wanda still alive

The Tuesday marvel movie
yes the movie was so good!!
Love America Chavez
She was so good in this movie!! Thank you for watching and commenting 💕
She spent an entire year being corrupted by the darkhold. What do you expect would happen?
@@briianasimone and, like, why does Agatha seem like mostly herself but more willing to kill when she has the Darkhold and the third Strange has an extra eyeball? I would like to understand this process. I know it's magic and maybe it depends on the person but it all seems very vague.
Gets introduced as the smartest man alive. Proceeds to give away advantageous information to his adversary unprompted. 😂 This movie has a lot of fun elements, but the writing is whack.
RIGHTTTT you saw my confusion 😭🤣 i guess it had to happen, so Stephen knew he is able to effectively use the darkhold to dream walk, but again why would you tell him at all if you're worried about him following his other self???
@@briianasimone And don't forget he told Wanda about the powers of the guy that ended up blowing up his own head. Such a brilliant man. 😂
