Some people actually use them for their intended purpose and looking good isn't a real concern. Those from my experience are the most mechanically sound examples.
@@genefogarty5395 Bully for you. Go do some research. My sister's all original 1973 Cheyenne does NOT have them, nor has any other 1973 Custom, Custom Deluxe or Cheyenne we've come across.
@@jayb.5017 Just looked at a dealer brochure and surprise, they have drip rails. Maybe y'all had some happy go lucky fool runnin around drilling spot welds off and yankin the drip rails? Did a count and I got six 1973's and ALL have drip rails, from the Suburban to the 3/4T crewcab.
I was thinking the same thing. Yes that pickup is a 1974 not a 1973 because like you said, they didn't have the drip molding trim above the doorways until 1974. 1974 was also the last year for that grille design too which makes that pickup unique.
RIP Bo Hopkins
I used to think Bo and Jerry Reed looked a lot alike.

How does a 3 year old truck look that used up already?

@@genefogarty5395 They usually wouldn't have optioned the chrome bumpers, hubcaps and side trim moldings this one has though.
What TV show was this?
1974 Chevy Bel Air Police Car The Rookies Siren Federal Signal PA20 1962-1966 Wail,
The report card probably had a memo. Does not play well with others.
Charles Martin Smith and Bo Hopkins were also in American Graffiti the year before.
And the sequel five years later where they had virtually all their scenes together.

What movie is the ending from?! T!ts and and a Thompson are a wonderful pairing.
Cheyenne Super. Cheyenne did not have drip rails until 1974.
Never seen, nor heard of this series but holy hell, all star cast for sure.
Never heard of that, and I have a yard full of GM trucks from 32-92. Even my '71 daily has drip rails.
