Thank you for recognizing us with such horrible disorder, I have general anxiety disorder and a lot of people do not understand how bad it is to live like this. There people that think that I can just get over it.

I just did a show about this, I swear my cats will wake me up if I stop breathing in my sleep. I even heard of a cats saving a pregnant wife, husband and two kids from carbon monoxide poisoning. Animals are definitely great!!!

@@cringeken5389 my youngest still wakes me up from time to time when if my alarm isn't going off. Makes me wonder if I'm breathing funny in my sleep or maybe talking in my sleep lol I tend to do that sometimes.

Anxiety and Panic Disorder is no joke. You always see awareness about depression but never really anxiety. I personally have panic disorder and severe anxiety. Imagine the pain, fear and urgency of a heart attack. That’s what a panic attack feels like, but more frequent. It’s a living nightmare. You can literally experience/trigger a panic attack from the fear of having another one alone. It’s technically not “life-threatening” to have panic attacks unless you have a heart condition or asthma... lucky me I have asthma and my attacks can trigger my asthma, closing up my lungs and perpetuating my asthma attacks. Most of my friends and family memebers can’t understand it, but the look of fear on their faces when I’m experiencing an attack shows it all. It’s a lonely life. It persuades you to stay in your comfort zone and even going to the grocery store seems like a risk. But we keep pushing. :(
I understand, glad you have your dedicated friend!! I also suffer from anxiety due to PTSD!! No amount of meds they throw at helps except xanax!! It have tears of happiness for you. I am broken, been to numerous specialist that don't know squat, they haven't seen the stuff I have and I refused to shoot anything EVERY again!! I no longer hunt!! Just the sound of a gun shot freaks me out!! I take no antidepressants, just xanan 1m in morning and 1 m in the evening since 2011. Sorry for the story, but I to have a furry friend that helps, although she has never been officially trained, she never leaves my side!! God I love dogs!!
Second Thought I feel your pain! And you’re right! Xanax is the only medication that helps calm my panic attacks! I hope you are well! Anxiety is hell on earth!!!! I want a service dog too!

My beautiful dog Harmony was dumped, then adopted and returned, and now has made it to me by pure chance! She's anxious too after what she's been through, and I have anxiety too, so I relate so much to Morgan saying they're made for each other. Harmony was made for me and I her
This is so heart warming, dogs are true companion. I have anxiety issues and when my dog died it got worse. I miss him most of the time. ❤️❤️❤️

I have PTSD from sexual assault. I got a pit mix to help me feel/be safer, at the encouragement of my psychiatrist. Without any training, she started doing the same things when I would have panic attacks or night terrors. It’s been 8 years and I’ve only had a handful of night terrors and a few panic attacks, instead of a constant onslaught. She even physically protected me one time when a guy tried to attack me. My dog is my protector and friend, and I’m grateful and proud to be her human. I wish these two all the best, they have an unbreakable bond.
Just another wonderful story proving that humans need animals and they are the best therapy.

Best doggo
They become an intricate part of our lives when you have health problems. Weather they be mental or physical. I don't know how I lived before my Service Dogs. But now I do. And its alot more because of him. I wish you both all the best stay safe. Lots of love.

But whenever I’m with dogs ..i forget for a second all the pain and fear there is? Like i can go to places without having a panic attack when a dog is by my side..sadly my beloved dog died 2 months ago. I can’t imagine my life without them since I’ve been growing up with a dog ..and not having one around is painful and hard for me to live with.
I asked my parents if we could get another one (we live in a huge house and have a big backyard) but they don’t want another one ..and now I just have to live with it and I’m alone again.
Maybe if youre gonna be boring enough theyre gonna just get you a dog so that you stop asking xd i mean it doesnt hurt trying

So sorry for your loss. No matter how long they live, it's never long enough. Please show your post from here to your parents or try talking to a doctor & get some support for your request. This sounds like a necessity, not a preference! Good luck! 🐕
Alex- I'm really sorry about that. I hope you can find a solution. If your parents were close to your old dog, maybe they're still in mourning, which might be why they aren't ready yet for a new dog. You should never bring an animal into a house unless every member of the household is 100% on board. Otherwise, the animal could suffer, and that's not fair to them. Maybe you could volunteer at the animal shelter, or if a friend or neighbor has a dog, you could offer to walk or play with that dog on a regular basis. Take care.

Super adorable Belgian Malinois! This is a great service dog and loyal companion. Very high energy and demanding but devoted to the right person who can appreciate the dog.
Most days I come crying back from school and when I just to my dog she helps me a lot I seriously don’t know what I would do without her
It's truly a blessing that dogs can help and change people's lives that have mental disorders, physical mobility challenges and medical conditions.
Poor woman. So incredibly hard to live with panic attacks and, in her case, combined with other issues. My heart goes out to her. Good good doggy-o.

this is such a great story. i struggle with mental health issues too and after it got so bad that i had to be hospitalized, my parents agreed to let me adopt a dog to be my ESA. he's helped me so much and even though he hasn't been trained to help, he still comes and snuggles with me whenever i'm on the verge of a panic attack. dogs are truly the best form of therapy

Literally have just the amount of respect for these dogs, & people who fight for our country. I KNOW someone who has an amazing service doggie, & he prevents her from self harm, attempted suicide, & strong depression & extreme anxiety. Literally has saved her ass so many times to where her dog got stabbed instead of her. He wears a bullet & sharp proof vest, so he literally has made her life better & can say she is for the most part now healthy & happy. Obvi she’s human & gets mad, but NO suicide attempts anymore. She just try’s to bite herself & the dog prevents her from it. He is a good puppie & he literally loves me. He’s an phenomenal amazing buddy for her. & keeps her SAFE SAFE SAFE SAFE. Disagree if you want but the MAD RESPECT I have for ALL service animals are literally life saving as well. & work so hard for them. ✊🐶
