I remember when Red Lobster would do all you can eat Crab Legs or Shrimp for less than $30. I remember when Pizza Hut was the place to chill for birthday parties and they had a salad bar! I remember buffets. I remember when a newly built 2 bed 2 bath house with a garage was less than $150,000. Of course, I was too young to buy a house then but I remember it. Everything has changed.

Allergic to shellfish, but this looks delicious! You’re right that restaurants are gouging customers. Every time something gets popular, the food industry takes advantage of it. It used to be cheaper to cook at home, but now it’s like dining out.

I know some of you might say go to the store and get the ingredients myself but I’m a mobility impaired senior and don’t go out by myself much. What I do is wait til a family member can do it for me. Saves me money too because seafood is much higher as well even without having it delivered. Everybody be blessed!💕

If you live in Texas and love seafood boils, then you should shop at HEB. They have had crazy low prices on snow crab this year and also have a new seafood boil in a bag. It's frozen but comes with the seafood, seasoning, sides and sausage. Much better bang for your buck. Speaking of, I have a few snow crab clusters in the freezer that are calling my name now...

If y’all have an Aldi near you are lookin for a quick & easy way to do a seafood boil at home, Aldi has a lil $10 frozen seafood boil bag in the frozen section where they stock stuff like fish sticks, chicle nuggets, the beloved lil quinoa bowls.. so its not spectacular or anything but it’s easy as hell and good enough. Doctor it up if you need to. But it’s a cheap good starter
The instructions are. just boiling water with half the seasoning packet they provide, and then dumping the bag in and boiling for 5-6 min, straining it and adding more seasoning if you want
