Sis ive been tearing up Krogers crab legs. They are 19.99 for 2 lb box or 39.99 for a 4lb box. Every now and rhen they put on a digital coupon sale for 15.99 and 31.99 with a limit of 5 boxes. Just had to share this with you Sis. I went to Kroger after work yesterday to get a couple of 2 lb boxes. Well to my surprise they had all of the 2 lb boxes for 13.99 and the 4lb boxes for 27.99. It wasn't even a digital coupon sale. There was no limit. I don't know if it was just a sale for that specific store or what but I couldn't help myself! Ended up leaving with 6 boxes! 😁That totally made up for the rough week at work! I hope they have that sale in your area so you get a few extra boxes too! 😊 Have a beautiful weekend!
My Granny & I used to celebrate our Bdays together in the 90’s we’d buy a 10 lb box at Kroger for $20 & then go to Brookshires and buy 2 lobster tails for $10. I was in my mid 20’s. I’ve been eating these things since I was 7 or 8, so I have no idea what they cast in the 70’s.
I never really grew up with seafood boils cause either my family members are allergic or genuinely can’t stand to be in the same room with the smell, but the way I would LOVE to make my own one day. They look mad good. I live in the Florida panhandle so seafood isn’t terribly expensive either. We have plenty of places that offer boils around town. I’m just too nervous to go out for one. 😂
Here in Canada for whatever reason eating out is always very expensive. Even at McDonald’s. We don’t have a dollar menu here and most of the time you’ll end up spending $20 on a burger and fries. I just learned how to make everything at home.
McDonald's in the states is the exact same way. We don't have a dollar menu anymore either and getting an actual meal can easily be $15 so 3 meals is basically $50! It's insane.

I used to always order the same thing, to McChickens, one small fries, and two apple pies with a Dr Pepper. Always came out to $5.35. I’ve lived in between Quebec and Florida since I was a teenager and it’s crazy how now McDonald’s is just as expensive in the states when it used to be extremely affordable in the states. If you live in Texas and love seafood boils, then you should shop at HEB. They have had crazy low prices on snow crab this year and also have a new seafood boil in a bag. It's frozen but comes with the seafood, seasoning, sides and sausage. Much better bang for your buck. Speaking of, I have a few snow crab clusters in the freezer that are calling my name now...

If y’all have an Aldi near you are lookin for a quick & easy way to do a seafood boil at home, Aldi has a lil $10 frozen seafood boil bag in the frozen section where they stock stuff like fish sticks, chicle nuggets, the beloved lil quinoa bowls.. so its not spectacular or anything but it’s easy as hell and good enough. Doctor it up if you need to. But it’s a cheap good starter The instructions are. just boiling water with half the seasoning packet they provide, and then dumping the bag in and boiling for 5-6 min, straining it and adding more seasoning if you want

I know some of you might say go to the store and get the ingredients myself but I’m a mobility impaired senior and don’t go out by myself much. What I do is wait til a family member can do it for me. Saves me money too because seafood is much higher as well even without having it delivered. Everybody be blessed!💕

Me & my boyfriend make our own as well. You might as well get more bang for your buck. Some places charge like 14$ for an extra lobster tail, when meijers usually has them for 8$ a pop. Well sometimes get a boil and then add to it as well

If you live in Texas and love seafood boils, then you should shop at HEB. They have had crazy low prices on snow crab this year and also have a new seafood boil in a bag. It's frozen but comes with the seafood, seasoning, sides and sausage. Much better bang for your buck. Speaking of, I have a few snow crab clusters in the freezer that are calling my name now...
My husband and I just went today for lunch
½ pound of shrimp
½ of crawfish
½ of snow crab
A corn and one potato
With a basket of fried oysters + fries
Heineken and iced tea was $58

Chile.. stop and shop has crab legs on sale for 6.99 a pound. I usually stock up and keep in my freezer. Acme had them for 5.99 for Valentines Day . Gonna make a seafood boil this weekend 😋
The one place I order from I only get one pound of clams. Mostly cause the potatos and corn will come in the bed whether or not I order it. And then I just boil my own eggs to add in.
Baby we have been doing them ourselves since I was young…seafood boil coming right up…didn’t get to do one this year…and I want some crawfish too lol

If y’all have an Aldi near you are lookin for a quick & easy way to do a seafood boil at home, Aldi has a lil $10 frozen seafood boil bag in the frozen section where they stock stuff like fish sticks, chicle nuggets, the beloved lil quinoa bowls.. so its not spectacular or anything but it’s easy as hell and good enough. Doctor it up if you need to. But it’s a cheap good starter
The instructions are. just boiling water with half the seasoning packet they provide, and then dumping the bag in and boiling for 5-6 min, straining it and adding more seasoning if you want
I got crab legs from the seafood counter at Kroger with the digital coupon for $6.99/lb. Last week. They will usually have some for sale around Thanksgiving too.
