Hey Roger, You should review Puckerbutts "Gator Hot Sauce". The ingrediants are (in order): Pepper X pepper mash (pepper x pepper and vinager), distilled vinager, and carolina reaper powder. I'm to scared to try it myself, so it would be awesome if you could!! Great video (as usual)
@@TURK_182 it's just the amount of it. Sauces typically don't rate too high on the SHU scale comparative to peppers because peppers have almost a honeycomb like structure that holds the oils. When they are blended and ground, especially in large batches, that oil will get released and what you are left with in the actual pepper mash is much less spicy. Then over time, capsaicin will also degrade with citric acid and certain emulsifiers, and spices which have degrading compounds... as well as bases like vinegar too. That's basically why you dont see a sauce actually have an SHU over 100k unless extracts are involved.

It's not that hot...and the marketing is a lie. I've had hotter from sauces that use a different pepper that's not Guinness rated at 2.7M Scoville.... for instance, RB003 hot sauce. I'm just tired of the BS Hot Ones marketing and Ed Currie should be embarrassed for marketing that sauce as 91% Pepper X because it can't be or it would be much hotter if the actual peppers used are anywhere close to 2.7M Scoville

This sauce doesn't taste pleasant, and it does nothing to enhance the flavour of anything. I tried it a few weeks ago, and heat without compliment is just heat. 5/10

Crazy! I got my bottle the other day and it’s HOT!!! I didn’t use nearly as much on my tacos but I agree the flavor isn’t very good. I think I’ll use it as a mixer with other sauces that have great flavor and not much heat. The Apollo sauce is much nicer to me!
Wondering if this was a bottle directly from the company? (curated for you) or one you ordered yourself.... So many claim it's not spicy, it seems like what they released to the public, was numbed down, compared to the one you got.

The last dab Apollo was good I actually liked eating it on chili and pizza! I did however buy it thinking it was going to be hot, but it was a really good tasting hot sauce! I’m thinking of buying xperience hopefully they brought the heat this time!

Hottest pepper of 2023 was the Pepper X hands down bar none. I find it funny though after reading an interview with the grower of the pepper. I thought i remembered reading that Pepper X would not be grown to be sold or produced nor the see seeds now or anytime in the foreseeable future.
