Does anyone have the same weird issue that your mouth is much stronger than your intestine? I can eat scorching hot peppers without trouble, but a few hours later my gut is on fire and it feels like I am pooping lava.
Same!! And it's worse with oily hot pepper sauce/dish. But I didn't start out like this. My guts were stronger when I was younger. I think I ruined my digestive system the way I was eating
I was hoping this would be brought up. I tried the one chip challenge out of curiosity a while back. It burned my mouth something fierce, but I was expecting as much. An hour later, every time my stomach churned it felt like lava was eating away at my gut. Waves of agony that just got worse and worse. I was sweating buckets for hours, and if I got up and moved, the pain magnified tenfold.
Ed! Can you talk about growing peppers, and what affects heat output? are peppers grown under different conditions to achieve varying levels of heat and flavour?
