In this video, I discuss the process of leaving a church position, particularly within children's ministry. Drawing from my 15 years of ministry experience, I share a personal anecdote of when I had to leave a church I dearly loved due to changes in their family leave policy and other internal transitions. I emphasize the importance of securing another job before leaving and share my own experience of negotiating a new position with better benefits, including paid family leave and a retirement package. #childrensministry #kidmin #childrensministry
Additionally, I advise ministry staff to explore their options discreetly without informing their current church, as it could lead to immediate termination. I stress the significance of prioritizing one's own well-being and family when making this decision. Leaving your church job is always difficult. You have formed relationships with those you work with and those you minister to.

I'm changing my content (mostly)....there will still be game content around holidays like Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter. But I'm adding in the knowledge I've gleaned from my career as a Children's Ministry Director with a Masters of Divinity.
