    Enjoyed ths whole series and miss it when you haven't posted.Glad to see the yard cleaned and the metal going to be recycled. Like another poster, you put an awful lot of fuel and time into getting parts you want and the hulks smushed. I do hope the profit margin is fairly substantial.

    I enjoy your ride-alongs. Gives me a glimpse into a part of the country I haven't been to. You know... That part about runnin' the back roads when you were a kid... I did that too. When I go back to my hometown, 1,400 miles from what's been home for me now for the last 44 years, I go back and ride those roads. Things have changed a lot, and sometimes it's hard for me to remember where they are, but it's great to be back. Oh, and I drive them a lot slower now than I did then too. I wonder how me and all of my foolish buddies lived through all that. But, then, some of them didn't, so the ride makes me remember them too.

    For all the YT police out there, most of the front ends weren’t heavy. Most were under 50 lbs. The only really heavy one I slid on to the skid and didn’t lift it at all. It’s not my first rodeo and I’m not as foolish as you think I am 😆 I’m not upset, but there’s no need for so much concern 😃

    All looking good, my friend. All that hard work and all those miles to and from, but it surely has to feel good seeing the pile growing smaller every day. I too prefer taking backroads to driving the highways. Number 1 - it is usually more picturesque and more interesting and Number 2, you see people doing their thing and getting on with life as well as a lot of other things you don't get to see on a highway. Certainly makes you feel more alive and thankful for what you have and a job you enjoy doing / lifestyle you wouldn't be without.
    I thank you for showing us that beautiful part of your vast country. I've never been to the States and only see that which appears in some form of media - and that's mostly city-based, so it is great to see farms, gravel roads, old houses / repurposed buildings and views that are so familiar in New Zealand......except you have so much more sky and a lot less hillsides! Great vlog, my friend, great vlog. When I go out to see a friend of mine on their farm in a couple of weeks to pick a basket of fresh mushrooms, I'll think of you!

  • @tripler3724
    @tripler3724 2 роки тому

    I was born and raised in the Missouri Bootheel where it is flat like Kansas and a lot of cotton is grown, had to pick it by hand growing up. Always had to have a "cotton stomper" who literally ran back and forth on cotton as it was weighed and dumped into a trailer. We now use "modules" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cotton_module_builder. I lived in KCMO for some time often going into Kansas and found I just couldn't handle the seemingly constant wind and never ending flat ground. The scenery on the drive is indistinguishable from where I grew up. Where I live now has flat ground to the west and hills to the east with lots of woods full of wildlife and mushrooms.
