    I guess this is not very nice of me but I absolutely get so much joy from people getting so mad about you crushing certain cars. I feel like the people who are complaining are also the people who complain about the price of the car before you crush it when you've tried to sell it and they just want to low ball you, it's like karma gets them in the end.

    I just love watching you crush. You got to get done as much as you can why those prices are up because they will tank sooner or later . And that always sucks when that happens. You are one good worker.

    I like this new format how you start the video showing a little bit and then the introduction. I also love hearing the excitement in your voice along with the great prices. I could watch you do the crushing and loading of the cars all day. So I an going to watch this one again.

    One of the better crush vids, Silas. I really enjoy watching you clear the lot of junkers. Very few of these vehicles are rare, as they were punched out in the thousands. I must say, seeing the steel go back into the smelter makes me feel good. I hate seeing junk cars laying around. Glad that the economics of the moment is helping to feed your family and build your business. Looking forward tot he next project.

    Kinda reminds me of one day in January when I was visiting in Denver. I THINK it was 2015. Ambient temp was about 65F outside and yet here I was, in the yard shoveling sidewalk snow. Go figure. :P

    • @urbanurchin5930
      @urbanurchin5930 2 роки тому +1

      I lived in Denver for 37 years. It is always surprising that people who have never been there - think that it is some sort of winter wasteland all of the time.
      Temperatures in the upper 60's and low 70's are not uncommon during the winter months. Often, the day after a good sized snow storm - you will see people
      out on the golf courses (they would use orange balls to see them against the snow). The high altitude and very dry climate make short work of any snowfall.

    • @ericsikma4764
      @ericsikma4764 2 роки тому

      @@urbanurchin5930 I know, huh? One's far enough up for the cold yet far enough south for the heat. Used to live in the Springs and LOL! Slip-n-slide down the driveway in winter as you look at all of the lovely cacti growing in front of where the car parks. Hehe!
      Humorous, too: I don't remember the exact elevation but Alma, CO is the highest town in North America. (Elev. 11,200, maybe??) Can remember stopping for lunch...Parking the car...standing on the front porch for a few minutes to catch breath in the thin air...go in and eat. Ahh, yes. Those were the days.
      Put a GPS on my living room floor once. Will never forget it: 6,328 feet. I used to look out the sliding door and DOWN on thunderstorms as they occurred (Garden of the Gods Road at I-25).
      The other funny thing also is I lived basically across I-25 from a cousin (they were on the opposite hill that I was).
      Last time we saw each other was about 40 years ago in Minnesota. Neither one of us had a clue that we could practically see in each others' windows in the Springs. Go figure...

    I've been thinking about making a high speed car crusher. One idea is to make a steel box about the size of your crusher, about 3ft thick and fill it with rocks and sand. Stand it on its edge and let it fall on top of a car. Another idea is to buy a surplus army tank or some other heavy piece of equipment, use a crane to lift it and drop it on a vehicle. Maybe something with an air cannon. A monster truck, a wrecking ball...
