EDIT: It Actually works in modern rigs, keep scrolling down till you see cockman official, he explains in his comment how to install the gog release in order for it to work. EDIT: It Actually works in modern rigs, keep scrolling down till you see cockman official, he explains in his comment how to install the gog release in order for it to work.
Keep in mind tho, its has issues. This issues can be fixable or impossible to fix depending on your rig apparently. In my case they were unfixable.
I recommend sailing the high seas to make sure you can fix the issues on your rig before doing a bad purchase.

When you install the game on win 10 it will launch normally - the intro, title screen, all this stuff works
But when you start a new game or load a save file it's just gonna show a black screen or an endless ocean.
Worry not however, there is a solution:
The problem lies in GOG's default install path. For some reason, the game will only work when you install it in a folder on your local drive.
So instead of installing it in the default path you should set the installation path to, for example:
C:\(Folder name)
The game should work normally once you install it this way.
