Hope you guys like the video! I'm still finding my bearings making these videos so let me know if you have any comments or general feedback on the video 😊 Enjoy!
For anyone having to flip back and forth between your Notion and the tutorial to follow along, I embedded the video straight to the bottom of the page in Notion so I could watch right in the page and follow step-by-step
I was trying to discover Notion by my on, but i can´t then I found this video, that´s amazing and a love it. I did step by step, and pausing the video because I´m from Brazil, this vocabulary is not familiar to me. But thank you! I share it with my english teachers coworkers too.
Glad you liked the video! Notion has a bit of steep learning curve, but once you get it the sky's the limit 😊 Any other kind of videos you would like to see?
I love all of your tutorials and I am learning so much following the step-by-step guides. I would love to see a way to integrate all of your tutorials together. For example, is it possible to link your student database from the attendance tracker into the class manager and lesson planner?
I'm happy you like the videos! Yes that is definitely a video I will be making in the future. I've received that request from a few people now. It is 100% possible and very easy to link different databases together, that's kind of what I expect people to do eventually after watching the videos :) It really comes down to making sure you select the correct "relation" property when linking two databases together. I will make a video (hopefully) soon on it!
Hi Milo! Thank you for this. How can I make a separate page that is dedicated to one class (e.g. English) and shows only the units and the lessons that belong into that class - while still keeping a central database for both in my "lesson planner" page?
This is where you need to get smart with "linked views" and "filters". 1. Create a separate page for your class. 2. Go to your lessons list or lesson calendar, click the dots at the top left and click "copy linked view". 3. Go back to your class page and copy the linked view of your lesson planner. 4. Create a new lesson property for "Class". 5. In your linked lesson view, you can now filter lessons just for this specific class. Also check out my class manager. This essentially already does what you would like :) www.notion4teachers.com/free-notion-templates/notion-class-manager
I’m getting back into teaching and am deciding if I want to use Google classroom or not. Is there any need for notion if you’re using GC or is it an instead situation?
You could definitely use both since they can serve different purposes. 1. Google Classroom for assigning class material to students 2. Notion for general task management, lesson planning, and use as a teacher dashboard

You made it sound so much easier than another UA-cam “coach” I watched earlier. Thank you ❤
Hey that's great! Glad it was helpful :)

That's great, let me know if you have any questions! 🤓👍
As both a new trainer and also new at Notion, i had to back it up 10 sec quite a bit, so your watch time should be up there.

I still don’t get how my “due dates” can be reflected in the calendar . It doesn’t work for me 😢
On the Calendar, go and edit the view. Go to "Layout > Calendar > Show Calendar by > and make sure this is set to the correct date property.
