The rasp blade, 5160 guard, and antler handle definitely stand out on this knife. Hidden tang knives with a lot of components take quite a bit lot of time to make compared to a full tang blade. I tried to pair down the length of the video while including all the steps I took. Thanks for watching!

The music definitely brings me back to my rdr days
Makes me happy to hear
Awesome build, and that is some trippy music. I like it
Really enjoyed watching the video. You did a great job. Never gets old watching you do your magic. Thanks. Tony
What a beautiful boy man!!! I have several Bwoies but they pale in comparrison to yours. Excelent work my friend and a damn fine video. Thank You
Great job.
You did it with tools almost anyone can afford.
👍
Sure if you remove the forge
NOTHING better than watching a bladesmith create a functional work of manliness with simple tools! Great job & awesome music! You just got a sub from an Alaskan Southern boy and fellow outdoorsman/smith.
Watching a skilled set of hands produce something beautiful is so soothing.
Really Nice Job. That was truly inspiring, and at nearly 3am with a full head of ideas, that music was relaxing and creation invoking. Well done.
Looks awesome. I really like the handle, a lot. I had a stag horn handle knife when I was a kid. Was my first knife. Your knife reminds me of it.
Um dos trabalhos mais lindos que já vi. Parabéns!
Just badass is all I can say! I love Bowie knives & this thing is beautiful. The rough/refined look is top notch and that handle is amazing! I MUST HAVE THIS!
Nice, a really good reminder of the quality that can be achieved with just a few simple tools.
Love the knife. That first song almost made me turn the thing off. Glad I watched it to the end.
If Jim Bowie had that knife, and sound track, the battle of the Alamo here in San Antonio would have never been lost.
That left a really interesting pattern on the back edge of the blade. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Great skill, great knife, great music. Thanks!
Love the music. Beautiful knife.
Like everybody else this is one bad ass knife. I love the way the rasp left pattern on the blade. Excellenty
That’s a real western Bowie right there! Amazing work...
Love the pattern that’s left from the file and the handle. Class work!
Good work and good song and melody. Thanks.
WOW you have a gift of making awesome knifes. This one is a work of art and hope it works as good as it looks.
Absolutely beautiful. Nice file work, no pun intended.
I love the design of this knife! Fantastic
That is a realy good looking knife. Nice filework and grind.Well done Sir!
More than a
Knife making, that is select piece of art. Great tunes.
That is fantastic work! Brilliant idea!
Great job!!! I am delighted! Although I knew that with such skillful hands and with such a bright head such grandiose projects are born ...
Прекрасная работа!!! Я в восторге! Хотя знал, что с умелыми руками и в светлой голове рождаются такие грандиозные проекты...
Amazing knife, and good music selection 😎
Amazing work , I love it.
Really nice Bowie style knife!!! Great video...thanks you for sharing this!
I'm here just by chance. I'm not into knife building, but I must to say that I'm very impressed by the quality of your work.
I love the style of your knives
Nicholson are some of the best files to make knives out of. Made in the good old USA.
Beautiful! Fantastic Work!
Beautiful blade. the rasp pattern looks amazing.
Great build man. I love it. Thank you.
Beautiful knife bro, I have an old rasp, it's going to be my next project.
That is the coolest looking homemade knife I have ever seen.
That is such an amazing knife, I love the texture on both sides
You are very talented and have a great imagination
14 minutes of my life well spent.
I've always admired the crown stag Bowie pattern. That is certainly a fine example, especially when you crafted it from a scrap rasp! Amazing piece of functional art work! The file work on the spine is the perfect touch of class and elegance in a blade that is obviously heavy duty. Thanks for sharing. :) Happy Holidays!
You got one hell of a talent dude. not too many people have that. really want that knife. please do make more video like this.
Antler is such an amazing material no wonder man has used it for thousands of years it's strength and beauty can hardly be matched even with today's modern composite.
That's bad ass, yoh!
👍 Nice job!
One of the best works I've ever seen!!! I fuckin Love it!!!! Jim Bowie would be proud son!!! It's beauty is surpassed only by it's classic style as I am sure it's functionality brother!!! I'd be proud to carry her on ma hip brother!
Are ya'll brothers ?

BEAUTIFUL WORK! WELL DONE!! FINE CRAFTSMANSHIP!!! KEEP IT UP!!
I have to agree that this is one of the best damn knives I have seen, excellent job mate.
that was a pleasure to watch, especially with the background music. thank you sir =D
The background music showed thenexact opposite amount of skill as the kife work.
It sounded like someone who got a guitar and harmonica 2 weeks ago and now brags to everyone about how good he is.
Really nice work! Have to say the music was the best I've heard on a video in a long time.
Hi William, I just see here your comment, makes me very very happy!

Nice. The way you allowed the patterns to be asymmetrical but kept them balanced at the same time is awesome. Can’t say I like the hole method of creating a break in the edge for sharpening though
That was an awesome build and the knife looks amazing! Loved it 👍
You deserve WAAAYYYY more subs. Great Job!
Nice knife, Good music.🙂👌
Fantastic workmanship a True craftsman !
I like the look of the blade, how it came out . Great talent . also thanks for showing us !!!
Excellent job! I'd like to add a safety tip if you don't mind. Hand holding blades and metal parts under a drill press can often lead to a bound bit causing what the knife making community commonly refers to as The Whirling Blade of Death. They has been known to remove fingers and generally maim hands an anything else close by. Please, always mechanically clamp blades and guards firmly to the table of the drill press! Drill press clamps are cheap compared to medical bills.
Thanks, I've been meaning to buy a drill press vise.
@@ironridgeoutdoors a bolt extended upward from one of the table slots against the side of the blade to stop rotation of the blade if it binds up and a regular C clamp to hold the blade against the table is a good work around. Keep up the excellent work!
@@markc6650 That's great advise, thanks.
You can clamp and drill these nuts
great looking knife, someone will snap it up i,m sure, regards from the u.k.
Very nice. Good concept, well fit together, striking appearance.
Beautiful just beautiful and well made!
Nice work....the best knife i see on You tuber chanels....
Greetings from Munich!😎🤘
Is everyone gonna ignore that dope soundtrack?! Great blade and informative process but what's that's music playin' please.
That was a stunning creation.. You got skills...
That was mind blowing. I say that because with some things I can afford I believe I could practice enough and do that. That was really neat, thank you!
John Underwood thanks man. Learning how to free hand bevels takes a while, but with somple jigs a knife like this just takes a lot of time and patience. It is definitely a blade that a determined beginner could complete.
Class video, love the music!
Good lookin blade. I liked the Henry Golden Boy in the one image.
That is one beautiful aggressive little bowie knife. Wish I had one.
But over all. Great work. The music matches the craft.
Beautiful knife
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I really enjoy watching your work beside I love the music too , great job :-)

I really like the overall shape and antler handle, you did an awesome work of art!
Jim just smiled at you sir.
This hands down, is the best knife a human has ever made. First video seen, already subscribed. Amazing work man!!!!
Making this file into a nice sharp knife and i like the what you made the handle that added a nice look.
Dang nice! I like the Henry in the background too.
Nice. Nice knife, nice music, nice craftsmanship. Good job man.
Interesante idea me gusto
First rate job. I like that it looks like snake skin on the rasp side. Very cool.
Great build. I've often thought a rasp would make a cool knife.
Excelente trabalho. Parabéns!
Poderia ter deixado com mais lâmina...
Exatamente, o cara cortou onde poderia ser bem maior. ..
Bet you think about having a mill often, Interesting to watch you get by with the tools you have. A+
Once I win the lotto
Iron Ridge Outdoors Even a Mill Drill. 1st Mill I had was 3/4 size, was like $700 ish off of Craigs list. You should know that tooling for Mill be more that Mill.
John M You think one of those harbor freight mini mills would be decent for learning?
@@ironridgeoutdoors I have a 2 horsepower 110V mill I got at harbor freight for $1000. I've had it for over 10 years. It has plenty of travel in X Y abd Z for most milling needs
Beautiful piece of work!!
WELL DONE!!!
That is an EXCELLENT knife!!
Awesome! I made a similar knife almost killed my little grinder.
How would I buy that knife or one alittle bigger with same type handle. In Knoxville Webb site maybe? I'm mike
You are ultra talented!! I can find Loco Lobo but I can't find the first track, what's the name of it please
That’s a knife!
Outstanding craftsmanship !
Hey love the harmonica music it’s my favorite music oh and nice knife to
Very nice spine!
Is full-tang not as important in a Bowie knife?
Ross Potts hidden tang is not as strong as a full tang, but is still a viable way of making a knife
@Adolf Zuckerberg Touché.
Who is the musician playing the music in the back ground!!??..if you know please respond
Loco Lobo
Thank you!
Hi I just found the vidoe and see your compliments, makes me very happy!

@@Lobo_Loco Thanks for what you do! I really appreciate that you let your art be used by anyone.
@Iron Ridge Outdoors -Thank you also! I like especially the contacts all over the world I get with my music.
Many of them are passionate no budget film projects with very interesting themes like yours I never heard or seen before.
... and sometimes I can make a little business with greater commercial profit oriented projects.
Beautiful workmanship.
FYI This may help. For a more lasting antler stain, there is a plumbers pipe back flush powder that is sold by weight. It will give the antler a more deeper natural look and not flake off. When mixed with water it turns a violet color but turns the antler a natural brown.Such a fine knife you have created deserves only the best.
Thanks. I've been looking for a better antler stain. Minwax lasts a long time but doesn't do a great job getting a darker tone.
@@ironridgeoutdoors Just be careful, the more you wipe on the darker it gets lol
might as well could have made a larger knife from that rasp, nice knife though!
my thoughts exacly, when i hear bowie i emagin something biger
Actually, the size was what made Bowie famous, it was about twice as big as this thing.
Olha meu amigo fiquei sem Palavras. Sensacional seu trabalho Parabéns !!
cant wait to make one of my own when i get to that part of my life
Thats a nice knife i whant to see if you can make a nice bush craft knife and i love to make knives to
класс
Ты походу один на брел сюда теперь и я
