Knife build. Bowie from Rasp and Antler

  • If you would like to purchase a knife like this, email me at IronRidgeRanch@gmail.com to see what I have available.
The rasp blade, 5160 guard, and antler handle definitely stand out on this knife. Hidden tang knives with a lot of components take quite a bit lot of time to make compared to a full tang blade. I tried to pair down the length of the video while including all the steps I took. Thanks for watching!

Excellent job! I'd like to add a safety tip if you don't mind. Hand holding blades and metal parts under a drill press can often lead to a bound bit causing what the knife making community commonly refers to as The Whirling Blade of Death. They has been known to remove fingers and generally maim hands an anything else close by. Please, always mechanically clamp blades and guards firmly to the table of the drill press! Drill press clamps are cheap compared to medical bills.
