So far this is the best knife I've seen. There was Damascus that went overboard on the pattern. But, the beauty with yours is its simplicity. Good Lord it is gorgeous. 👍🏻

@@Mysticmountainforge hi. Just saying it how it is. Have watched most of the other makers but your knife is how I would want mine to look . Beautiful work
Watchind all these vidéos was a nice experience and has allowed us to discover new knives makers. Finaly our vote is for your knive, not because it's the most beautifull, not because it has a special look, not because it is the one I want to have but because it's the one I want to use ( my husband says ). San mai forging was an interesting challenge and must provide the blade good cutting ability, resistance and flexibility, the material choice for the handle is in perfect adequation with the " Bowie " spirit : good job and thumbs up ( sorry for bad english, loves from Belgium )
Thank you for the kind words, they motivate me to get back into the workshop and get to work, I needed this after the past week I have had battling Covid, thanks again and I appreciate you watching!

I subbed and wanted you to know that is the closest knife to a original bowie and I voted for you to win... Sorry you didn't but still beautiful knife and good luck on the next challenge.
Hey Guys; going to post this in all the videos. Have to say lived these builds & was a HARD choice since we only get 1 vote. Would be better to have a 1, 2, and 3 choices since many channels have fewer subs but did great builds. That way there could be a bit more of an average top choices & determination of top 5 kind of challenge. @Tyrell Knifeworks got my vote but @Green Beetle, @Red Bears Ops, @Wengels Workshop were all right there at great builds for a 2 or 3 place fight.
Beautiful job, well done. I am just getting in to forging myself now. Just wondering about the design of the knife. Is there a pattern available for the shape you made. I would love (Try) to make this one, exactly. It is definitely the best of them all. It gets my vote. Thank you for sharing and good luck,

I finally decided to cast my vote. It took so long, and I know it's only one vote, and it won't make much of a difference, but I wanted to vote for MY fave Bowie. The last challenge was simple to vote on. Tyrel Knifeworks' knife was significantly superior to the others. But this time, there are many excellent knives, but Mystic Mountain Forge gets my choice because of the sensations the knife evoked in me. (sorry for poor English)
Beautiful knife, but other then the billet. What did you forge, you cookie cuttered it out. Though your style of knife making is more likely to produce the same effect every time. I do t consider it forging
Thanks, but nowhere in the description did I say I forged this knife, I forged the steel and did stock removal on the rest, I recently suffered a shoulder injury prior to this build that kept me from doing any real forging, I also had covid for the duration of the build as well, I prefer to forge my knives but this the that was out of the question. As for getting consistent results from forging every time I am quite capable of doing that as well. If you would like to see proof that I know how to forge watch the S guard Bowie video here on the channel or any of my sword builds, all were forged. The lack of forging in this video is why it's titled making a Bowie knife.
@@Mysticmountainforge I like watching your videos, but I will chime in here, as I was disappointed with the title being "Forging a GO-MAI RECURVE BOWIE knife: Bowie Challenge". Amazing knife and much truer to the form than many in the competition. Looks like a knife built to work, not just grace a display case. Well done.
