I’m sure you brought everyone back to their youth with the snow shelter, but you pimped it out. Open mind makes for awesome videos.

It’s great to see you have the time to build such a snow structure. I can see any future grandchildren are going to have a wonderful childhood. We average 40” of snow, not this year we have 4” so far and warm temperatures. So while you build snow houses(Chuck-loos) I’m going to drill a couple holes in the lake and catch a couple Crappies for dinner.

That's awesome!! Reminds me of being a kid again. In my much younger days we had a snow dump they called it in the field at the end of my street where they dumped all the snow removal snow from around town. My friends and I had half of that field hollowed out with tunnels from one snow hill to the next and candles in each one for light and warmth. Nothing else to do as a kid growing up in Northeastern Ontario. Ours weren't quite as luxurious as yours but we did have pretty much a small house with stairs and all carved into one parking lot hill. It's how we survived those -20 to -40 temps outside all day. We had snow shelters all over the neighborhood!

    Wicked video chuck👌
Brought many memories of making these shelters growing up in Goosebay. We have done open fires in these and I’ve even made a tin stove for the bigger ones.
I do remember taking a stick on fire to all the walls to melt slightly, sealed it up nice and makes walls solid.
When I was real young I remember digging a 3 level shelter in a snow pile made with a loader. Used to play tag all over the hill. It had many different sliding trails throughout the shelter.
One of my favourite childhood memories.

Thank you for all your amazing videos, this video hit home as I used to build those 40+ years ago in the snow banks (yes don't do it now) and we would have a whole community of people in the tunnels around the property and drifts around the yard. Yes we had a couple collapses and no deaths by Snowplows (a couple close calls) and we had so much fun all winter. We had tables and chairs and played board games with candle lights....all when we weren't even teenagers...
