How do you exactly proceed to remove the squirrel cage? Mine had coroded connecting tabs, but cleaning them didn't do the job. But beneath the squirrelcage, I could see the tabs continuation under the connector badly damaged too. I guess I could fix it if I could remove the cage, THKS.
I just tried your oil trick. the only light duty oil i had on hand was WD-40. so far it seems to have quieted it down a bit, but after running for 5 mins i didnt really think it would stop immediately. im going to give it a few day to work in and hopefully it gets better. Thanks for the heads up!
Very helpful. I have a 2011 that's squeaking in the same spot so hoping the procedure is the same. Going to try oiling it before replacing it....Glad to find this thanks.
Great video. I have a 2009. The front blower stopped working but the rear is fine. Is it the front blower motor or could the resistor be bad? Checked the fuses, they're fine. Thanks.
Thank you for watching ! Normally if the resistor is bad you only have high . .. so I'm gonna say it's the motor but check the plug to the motor for current any way
What kind of oil would you use on the fan? Your video helped me replace my fan 2 years ago. Thanks! Now though, the Canadian Tire replacement fan is making noise. I thought I would try the oil trick before I replace ... again!
A small rodent made a nest above the cabin air vent filter, eventually she made her way into the fan housing where she met her end. The smell was awful and the fan vibrated very badly because it was out of balance, I thought I was in for a huge dealership bill until I came across this video. It took around 30 minutes to remove / clean / replace the motor and blade assembly, thank you so much for posting this video.
great job man, excellent video to the point. mine was making noise this morning, will start with the oil and see if that helps. you are right even autozone wants 100-80 bucks for one of those suckers!
Great video. I'm about to buy a 2011 and the rear blower does not work at all, would this be the same on a 2011? Anything different I should know about? Looks like they used the same blower from 2001-2015.

Very helpful. I had a chunk of plastic in the front blower motor. When it was removed, and the motor lubricated, it worked!
What kind of oil?
Thanks for this video. 1 single leaf was in the blower housing causing a loud rattling. You saved me a trip to the mechanic and $$$. Much appreciated.
Thanks for your 5 minutes of help! My motor is loud and I am going to try your trick with the oil. Good video.

Wow! Thank you for this! I realized I could do it myself rather than spend $300! Is this accessed on the front passenger side?
Yes on the passenger side
Thanks for saving me some money.
