Another great video. I appreciate the tips and I actually think that I'm getting better trying to apply what you talk about. And by improve, I mean that I'm consistently in the 1.2 - 1.8 K/D with the occasional 2.0+ superstar game. Unfortunately I'm still middle of the pack to dead last based on kills/points, but hey...I'm getting there. One thought I had, particularly with the new maps is that I'd like a "map walkthrough" of every map from you. You mention a lot of tips in other videos in passing, but really a dedicated walkthrough of each map. Which control points are good to have, what are the sightlines to pay attention to, etc. Now that the Dark Below maps are in the regular queue, I'm finding that even though I've never played those maps before, just having watched some of your earlier videos really helped me visualize. Anyway, just a suggestion for you to consider. Thanks man.
I'm definitely guilty of doing the same thing over expecting different results, especially when I start to get tired. Almost don't realize I'm doing it. Fighting the same guy in the same spot with the same gun because I just KNOW I can get that headshot first. Usually makes for some long nights.
After watching quite a few of your videos, I've realized one of my main problems was my sensitivity was at 9. I put it on 5 and I literally just went 38 kills and something deaths (3.8 k/d) my last round.
Actually excited to try some of these. I've been dropping the ball in the crucible lately and I was about 1 game from giving up until I saw your interview on Bungie.net
I've really gotten better at Crucible after watching your videos. I've gotten more sprees and multi kills, especially on my voidwalker Warlock by using your tips on getting higher than your opponent. I think I even managed to tilt someone into rushing into a nova bomb once. Thanks for all the tips dude!
Shuskey Good, I'm glad! On my casual character (wife's pan, I play Destiny on hers when I don't feel like being social and just playing solo in crucible) I'm up to 3.0 but on my actual account I'm sitting at the 2.3 mark on my main and hunter. I start to pull it up, then do a clan scrimmage, and lose all the progress lol. But it's all good, lots of fun.
I haven't seen it on any videos of yours i've seen, what Sensitivity do you use? I use 6, it feels fast enough to turn, but also slow enough to actually aim my shots.
I wish bungie would remaster the core content of d1 for pc and the new upcoming consoles at high framerates. I am talking all weapons and armor, raids, patrol areas, and strike content. I have a huge list of sandbox changes and reward system changes I have made but sadly I feel bungie will never see it. They could literally just asset flip the game with maybe some upressing and some minor improvements and then do seasons where they update vendors with new guns, armor and shaders. Sell it for 30 bucks straight and then make money selling shaders and emotes to a grateful playerbase. People can relive the better destiny crucible experience and it would free up destiny 3 to go wild with pve. They could even add D2 and D3 favorite weapons into the game with some of their season updates. They could stagger seasons for different vendors/content to keep the game fresh. I have great ideas for adding d2 pinnacle weapons in as more powerful exotics. I think my rework to lunas howl is particularly clever.
Another great vid TV! Of course you make it look easy :P but the practical tips and advice you offer alongside the gameplay has already helped me immensely at being proficient across all 3 classes in PvP! Thank you. Question: I am currently horrible at sniping in PvP, with the new "high RoF" snipers being offered in the Vanguard and New Monarchy vendors, do you think I should check them out as an alternative? (my problem is mostly with fire rate, I can sight them up and get in one shot, then I'm dead lol) any tips would be appreciated, but either way thank you again and keep em coming!
SilentStep79 Hey man, glad to hear it! That's the point of the channel. Do you have a Praedyth's Revenge? Fires like a scout rifle, lots of people prefer it. I do have plenty of tips for sniping in my two sniping tutorial vids, but overall one of the best things you can do to practice target acquisition is to run around in patrol and marking something on the map that's about head level and trying to quickly turn and sight in on it. After 20 mins or so, you'll find yourself getting a feel for where the center of your screen is and you'll start to develop better spacial awareness. In pvp, you just don't hardscope frequently enough to get rhythm. Doing it like this provides more repetition in a short amount of time.
True Vanguard I don't have Praedyth's lol!!! I'm on the wrong side of the VoG RNG apparently, but have heard the same rave reviews about it as well :) I remember that tip of yours about marking a target on patrols, and will keep at it. Thanks for your fast response, and I look fwd to your next vid TV!!
Although many will probably disagree with me the high firerate snipers aren't that great. A higher impact one with less stability will fell like a better sniper because the recoil will make you actively have to manage your shots and your not just spraying rounds. Also if you get a high enough impact you kill players with overshields, or if you had a sniper with final round from the last dlc you can take advantage of the one shot kill
ok, thanks for the tip I will remember that! Ideally I'd like to strike a balance b/t the two types of SRs...Have you had much success with Patience and Time? just as an outsider to PvP sniping it looks like it'd have a few obvious advantages (3rd eye, Invis, etc)...
I only started taking pvp seriously at the start of ttk, i used to go into crucible and run around randomly, not caring about kills, just about rewards. When i started playing seriously i had a 0.4 and like 30k deaths it's taken a while but im a 0.96 but it's still gonna take 2k kills without deaths to go positive.-_-
Wizardporn2008 ikr i feel like i would be a 1.4 kd at least if i didn't play PvP when i first made my character after first lvl ;-; Its hard im still stuck at 0.81
I hate heavy weapons in the crucible, I wish they would just take out Heavies in pvp. It's a cool idea, but it's annoyingly game breaking in that as soon as you have the heavy, you're impossible to out gun and really hard to take down since your weapon is simply the most strong archetype.
Shey Brittle Yes, and also appears on every match, and whoever gets it basically wins the game. Not to mention that if your whole team gets it, there isn't even any chance. It gets boring to use and fight against.

Great job sharing tactics and narrating your videos. They're a joy to watch
Ive watched a few videos and i gotta say i feel like ive learned some stuff. More than my attampting to practice crucible. Good work
Just started watching your videos and doing the tips that I can remember in the heat of the moment have helped me greatly
I really enjoyed the article, I would like if you made it more of a series.
I'm definitely guilty of doing the same thing over expecting different results, especially when I start to get tired. Almost don't realize I'm doing it.
Fighting the same guy in the same spot with the same gun because I just KNOW I can get that headshot first.

JD Harvey Haha, I think we all do it. It's too easy to get enraged sometimes.

I know this is super late but I put my sensitivity high if I don't have snapshot
Actually excited to try some of these. I've been dropping the ball in the crucible lately and I was about 1 game from giving up until I saw your interview on Bungie.net
Great video, love the guides you do--keep the awesome content coming!

Shuskey Good, I'm glad! Whats the name of the intro song?
Man that match with the reign of terror was intense. Do you tend to favor high armor or regen in your load outs?
F Blecha Thanks! I definitely prefer high recovery and agility over armor.
K.D is more important then elo, elo doesn't matter

My kd is bugged I'm getting a 3.00 kd and stuff like that but it won't changed from a 0.87
If you play a lot of crucible it gets harder to get a higher K/d.

J Kry Just one setting higher than default
good god that warlock melee range is ridiculous....so damn ridiculous bungie
Don't get attached to a single loadout. Too late. #MIDA
Seems everyone is nowadays. It's just as common as The Last Word, or at least it feels that way when at least 3 people per match are using it.
That moment you realize this was made a while ago. Haven't seem g-horn in a while. Love your vids though
true vanguard can you accept the friend request by Smooth

Which is why its called heavy ammo and you loose it when you die.
