A good point I'm glad you mentioned is that when close quarters sniping, you are doing it essentially as a backup plan, and you have to be ok with and accept that you may lose those engagements because you use a sniper. Using a sniper up close is very tough, you won't beat shotgunners consistently, that's fine.

One thing I would like to see, either as a reddit post or a video, is a guide for newer players to get geared up. Keeping in mind that many of the guns you discuss in your videos are no longer available, Longbow Synthesis, etc. I would love to see a guide on what the best sniper is to hold you over until you get a Her Benevolence, The Supremacy, or Shadow of Veils. Should I be using Praedyth, Low Humility, or what? What are the most effective ways to "farm" for one of these new HoW rifles? I still don't have one. What is the best pulse rifle to go for in HoW? Good suggestion, I have friends new to the game who can longer gear the way I did because certain things are no longer available. I don't know how a new player would even go about getting ready for endgame.
Aaron Blair I came to the game later and I had to level up my Second and Third characters after the HOW dropped. As for what weapons to get, #1 do nightfalls every week. #2 I suggest multiple characters to run these things a few times. #3 Do the highest level strikes you can to get more legendary drops (seems to drop more with the most advanced character you have) #4 picking the best weapons can be best determined by utilizing reviews and base stats from sites like Planet destiny, reddit and others. check this out for instance. www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/2ugaok/indepth_weapons_sats_spreadsheet_for_pvpttk/I have Low Grade humility, Patience and Time, Her Benovolence, Praedyth's revenge and Shadow of Veils. Patience is my favorite PVE unless the burn doesn't match. Other snipes I have hit like a truck. Again, evaluate the stats then ultimately go with comfort and slaughter factor. I'm also wondering what your thoughts will be on the special ammo changes as a sniper. Possibly share your thoughts in a video once you've felt the changes over time and adapted to it.

Thanks for making this series of videos! Loads of helpful tips for an apprentice sniper like me! I feel your advice on CQ sniping is a little vague though. Don't panic and aim steadily are solid bits of advice in general but I find it very difficult to keep a track of enemies as they get closer... Perhaps it is just a skill and a matter of practice but I wonder if techniques like Quick Scoping would help? (Showing my newbiness here lol)

Lah! If only... You always seem to be in the right spot at the right time - common to all good (and 'lucky') players....meanwhile, players that suck mega (like me) are ALWAYS in the wrong place at the wrong time, e.g., a rocket fired from across the map will land on me as I walk around a bend/corner/wall etc.; 6 guys in a bunch, the one to get the incoming round/shell/rocket/fist - is ME! and on and on and on! LOL NOT!!! So, how does one not be in the wrong place at the wrong time? Or is that what being 'lucky' is about? LOL Another great vid. Thanks for sharing.
@true vaguard. I notice my biggest problem is the zoom. Seems like the zoom on your sniper rifle is about medium-low... I tend to find this to be the best sniper rifle for the average map in destiny. Any thoughts on dealing with the compensation between low-medium-high zoom snipers.

So it seems like a lot of sniping is map awareness, which is something I clearly don't have. I wish there was a practice mode or something where you can run around maps with nobody else.

Any advice me and my team have got like 6 to 7_ 8-0 trials run and always lose on that nith match sometimes twice because we still had are mercy boon I noticed that on this match everytime my teammates want to camp out by the control overtime spot and everyone starts blaming each other mostly I don't get a lot of kills each round but I always have the most assists but last night they were screaming at me with their call outs while I was the last one standing and to be honest they would say "what are you doing " how did you lose that shotgun battle now I hate shotguns when I use them it always seems like I pull off the same Shots as my enemies but they will be a one shot and I'll be dead .but anyways any advice why we keep losing on are flawless round and what can I do to tell my teammates to back off and relize they are not doing all the work just cause I dont have a lot of kills but always have top assist .just need some advice cause something is wrong when we lose are flawless round so many times

I'm currently playing on a look speed setting of about 6 iirc, thinking of just maxing it out and trying to get comfortable with the faster motion. I was wondering which you play on? I know it's generally just "whatever level feels comfortable to you", but won't sight dragging be improved with learning to control a faster setting? Anyways, great videos all around, you're definitely my favourite Destiny UA-camr. Keep it up!
SasoriKishi Destiny pretty sure he runs at 4. I've been improving my sniping gradually and target acquisition for me was best how I had it from the start, at 4 as well. I tried moving up to 5for a while and although it didn't seem to hard I noticed my kdr dropped and stayed lower. It instantly went back up after switching back. The auto aim seems more generous at lower sensitivity to me
Lower is always optimal, especially for sniping, generally 2-5. The only reason you would go higher is if you are running a shotgun for a primary. Otherwise, you want to be as steady as possible to make sure you hit those headshots.

its just sad that they cut special almost completely out of the game in the destiny y3 age of triumph. they say oh the longbow is good and the 1000 yard stare is great, but now the only thing you can use is icebreaker 😞

Shadow of veils has a high aim assist and impact so it's a good starter sniper I use P&T due to the third eye perk
