It's a very high security area, so lots of fences, locked doors, and security guards. What would be interesting to see is how they activate the sirens from the hospitsl control room. I have tried to arrange this but they declined It. Edit: With regards to the siren, it's the last one left being tested. It sounds amazing, don't you think?
@UNIX Man The people that are in there are dangerous. They should keep the sirens and maintain them properly, so that members of the public are aware of an escape. I do wonder what the hospital control room looks like though.
I lived in Crowthorne too - the sirens never scared me as long as it was Monday 10AM. It’s when they went off at a random time that was a little scary, people sort of closed up their homes.
All the other broadmoor sirens played the hi-low tone when they were in use, and there is still a Klaxon CS8 at a Solutia site which plays the hi-low tone.
@@MichalM I do want to contact someone about a purchase of that siren. I would keep it there privately and pay someone to maintain and run it for the weekly.
1:13 nostalgia
1:13 run up 1
3:14 run down 1
4:12 run up 2 (FINAL)
6:14 run down 2 (FINAL)
EDIT: 3:56 to 4:06 siren is having some issues trying to wind up
3:59 the siren to a little problem at startup she beugue a little
Also 3:56 and 4:04 the siren tries to run up.
@@MichalMI think that its faulty now
3:56 to 3:59 was that the siren trying to wind up while its spinning down but hasnt quiet been able to fire up
Correct.
Or someone was messing with the control boxes
I need to visit this one
EDIT: this one is the only one thats reverse-wired
be my guest, I don't live in the UK
All of the sirens have been decommissioned and no longer work, unfortunately.
@@MichalM but i think this one's still there i searched on google maps and it was still here! (location: Chalpans hill's 20 yes it was 2023 google)
@@Vigilance108 sure🤣🤣🤣
Status: still in place
Yay! Any videos?
That’s great! Do you know if it’s still being tested?
YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
@@Electronicsandsirens I believe it is only being silently tested.
I saw a couple of pictures taken not too long ago
I remember living in crowthorne and hearing this was scary! I've always wanted to know what it's like in Broadmoor

@UNIX Man Someone else mentioned that to me the other day, I wonder if the sirens feature in that?
@UNIX Man Very interesting - thanks for the info!

I don't know of any other sirens that made a hi lo noise.

4:12 sounds like Siren C in Carstairs. I remember recording it and iit sounded like that
Agreed.
It’s sad for how long they have been used for and they are all gone
Carstairs : older sirens and still work
I think Carstairs sirens are a little bit younger. Secomak logo is more modern than that on the control boxes for the broadmoor sirens
Indeed it's a shame they're being decommissioned.
@@al66class59 I agree.
@@al66class59 yeah i agree too!
BUT G AND F ARE STILL THERE
i dont want Siren G To be replace
It's being removed whenever they get access to the tower. As far as I'm aware it's still there.
I love that KLAXON siren!
I do too, it's just a shame that it's gone!
@@MichalM Replaced by an electronic KLAXON siren, right?
@@robinausbayern1999 I believe so.
@@MichalM its NOT gone its still here in 2023
@@robinausbayern1999 yes but its still here
How come I heard when the run down starts I hear the high tone shutter stuck open then it shut
There was a fault. This siren is now being scrapped, along with the rest of the system.
@@MichalM sad ain't it
@@ASTRO-dr4nu Very sad yes, especially as they didn't maintain them in the first place. :(
Hey, Nice Video of the Sirens.
Thanks!
I don't know why but,i loke broadmoor siren 😑
"Like" and btw i like them too
Is Siren G still there as of today?
Not sure, I imagine it is though.

@@TriStateRailfan Yeah they dont want to remove ot because its the main hospital siren
Poor siren g... Rest in peace so sad... And they said that siren g was healthy well now its not WTF?!
Yes it's weird.
@@MichalM agreed
Are it or any others still around?
This is the only Broadmoor siren still tested. Siren F is still on its tower, but it has been decommissioned.
some have been removed
@@AnimalAnimeLover Correct! Sirens A, C, D, E, H, I, J (maybe), and L have been removed. All the others are still there as far as I'm aware.
@@MichalM thank you :)
I haven’t got any more spare Mondays :(
I probably won’t see these running myself- ever. Shame I picked two weeks they didn’t work 😭
Wow wonder what fault could make it try wind up when its not meant to. /:
Not sure, it could be anything.
probably bird nests
possibly cross talk on the old degraded po lines
That’s still there? Cool
Not for long though - today it had an even more weird fault!
Did you record it?
@@perhaps3990 Of course! With my brand new camera as well! Prepare for a much closer view of the siren!
Is this siren going to be removed? This is my favourite siren!
Not as far as I'm aware.
Yes it will be.
3 years later its still in place but not operational
@@Vigilance108 if i get my hands on its control boxes i will turn it running (or at least try because its faulty now)
