This is ESPECIALLY true of food. I seriously doubt there's a single dish that hasn't been influenced by multiple cultures at this point, even if those influences were thousands of years ago.

@@kateshiningdeer3334 Absolutely true. A few years ago there were predominantly white Middle class students who were horrified at the cultural appropriation of things like Karate and Yoga classes or small children going to parties dressed as Moana or Mulan. If you meant the seasonings in particular, that IS harder - there are basically two ways to go - find an authentic recipe and use that, or train yourself to recognize the individual flavors of herbs and spices. They misspelled Appreciation.
The left is totally off their rocker!
I've designated myself as a Hot Head burrito today.
The fifth amendment is horrible and disgraceful. If you are innocent why would you take the fifth amendment. Only the mob invokes the fifth amendment.

The right thinks JFK Jr is still alive

So you're really that petrified of President Trump still?
If you knew you were being set up you'd plead the fifth also.
@@swampfox5660 Keep repeating that to yourself , until you finally believe it
Normal, Rational, Mentally Stable people call it, "Cultural Appreciation"
I am beyond fed up.
Blessings all of you!!!
Back to fluff and puff! I love Tyrus!
Most ethnic restaurants feature hamburgers and sometimes hotdogs yet no one confronts them with cultural appropriation. And oh BTW, people produce food that they have a passion because it is cultural appreciation not appropriation. America invented the telephone and shared it with the world, same with the cell phone and the fax machine and so on.
Do you know what ethnic means? You are also ethnic.
@@xhpy6760 I do, I was referring to Mexican and Chinese restaurants. Defining ethnic is splitting hairs.
Yes, Tyrus. That's what I want to know to. Who comes up with this crap? Out them please
They are running out of things to keep them relevant so they continually have to attack everybody else who's going about their business and being content. Let those people say what they want and just ignore them. That'll make them go away faster than anything. Now I'm going to go in the kitchen and cook myself some f****** tacos
I'm half-Filipino and wish Americans would culturally appropriate lumpia. I always get drafted to make lumpia and my hands cramp up after rolling like 75 of them which I usually have to prep the day before. And other people just roll into the party with a box of Publix fried chicken and a oreos or whatever. Give your ethic friends a break every once and a while and appropriate the food you always request ethnic people to make.
Offer to teach them! Not only can it be a blast of a party, but they may be afraid to ask, and be thrilled to learn! I would be ecstatic to have the chance to learn pretty much ANYONE'S cultural cooking techniques direct from them!
I watched a Filipino woman on YT make lumpia a while back - I didn't know ANYTHING about Filipino cuisine before her, and now I want to try a lot of her recipes! Between YT and Google, I'm always learning new food techniques!
Yum, lumpia!❤
@@kateshiningdeer3334 Absolutely! I don't mind teaching anyone to make Filipino food, but my point was that I was trying to make a joke about and possibly failing is that "cultural appropriation" is a very bizarre concept to Filipinos and probably most non-Leftists. Culture isn't something we have to "get right" or "make authentic". The Lefts obsession with other people's "cultural identities" is fueled because they have a desire to take part in the traditions of other people's families because they've trashed their own to the point their outcasts. Personally, I'm Catholic as is 80% of the Philippines and would much prefer people create a culture of life in their homes than put so much energy into whether their taco is "culturally authentic." These people are literally burning down their own cultural heritage and want to pretend to be protective of the culture of other people? Filipinos aren't protective of Lumpia. We're protective of our family's identity in Christ Our Lord and Savior and the Blessed Virgin who brings us to the foot of the cross. We're not thinking, "Thanks for protecting the integrity of Lumpia. We're thinking, 'How can I keep these lunatics away from my kids.'"
I love lumpia, but cannot make it. Bottom line is that I am not a good cook. I have also tried making pancit.
I think that you mean "ethnic friends," not "ethic friends?" At any rate, you are onto a good idea!
Love it Tyrus!

As a Dutch born I should limit my cooking to “blinde vinken” (blind finches) and “hete bliksem” ( hot Lightning) with a side dish of cheese and rye bread?
No, the English will be happy to share their cuisine with you.
@@gastronomist 🤣😄🤣😃 you have never tasted my mothers “blinde vinken”! So you have no idea what you are talking about. It was delicious, but because it was a delicacy, we could not have a lot in my family of 7 kids. (Btw no finches we’re harmed, not ever) and I share my idea of English cuisine with Asterix and Obelix 🧐🙃😉🙏🏻❤️
Best Chinese take-away I ever had was made late at night when the Mexican cook had gone home and the short white punk rock vocalist owner of the shop (Hi, Jamie!) would make my food in person.
