Yes that is a log hauler, your mistake is you painted it silver, it was black when you got it, I worked a few logging ranches and all logging haulers are black.

The amount of paint missing tells me that this truck got a lot of love from a kid back in the day. Great to see it so well restored. Great job Joe!
Thanks! It was definitely loved for a long time! Glad I could bring it back to it's former glory!
@@joe_diy what type of blasting media do you use?
@@mikesim1882 I was using crushed garnet in this video. I use aluminum oxide too depending on what I can find locally.
@@joe_diy ok thanks, I do sandblasting myself and I always curious what other people think is best to use
Wow looks great mate

That is probably the neatest, and least wasteful application of filler, that I’ve ever seen.

I like it! Great job, Joe!
Thanks!
Love the videos man keep it up
Thanks man! More to come!
Some stain on the "logs" would make them look more realistic
But it's still a great restoration
I thought it was a truck for hauling containers. But a logging truck is much more cool!
Nice job!!
That would make a cool custom!
Perfect restoration
Very nice work as always Joe love it brother Lee
Thanks Lee!

Hi there from South Africa. Thank you, that really turned out awesome….
Hello there! Thanks for watching!
I love watching
Glad to hear it!
Great job Joe! Keep up those terrific restorations.
Thanks Jack!
Perhaps consider the use of teflon washers between moving parts to prevent future wear.
Good tip!
Hello Joe beautiful restoration good job well done
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the restoration the color scheme is awesome. You have an excellent channel and content. ❤🇨🇦
Very well👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome Job!! You have interesting videos especially when it looks like you have to struggle a little with something but you do great work.
Thanks! Working with toys this old is always a struggle. Might as well show it!
Sweet!!!
Thanks MrZlooze!
Good job
Thanks!
Everyone loves a log… (if you decide to brown-stain them, you could have telephone poles!)
Awesome. Did you sand it after fill the spot?
I did!
LOVE IT
Beautiful Restoration Joe! Is that a Ford carb sneaking its way into the video!😀
Haha yes it is! Bench full of hot rod parts!
What happens to the restored toys? Are they for sale or on display somewhere?
They're on display in my workshop.
What is that filler that is able to powder coat over? It holds up to heat and attracts the powder?
Lab metal. I've been experimenting with bondo and plastic fillers and they've been working great for pitting.
Nice Job joe i like
Thanks Edwin!
Mükemmel
Thanks!
is this a custom restoration or is that what it originally looked like?
That's what it originally looked like. Someone painted the trailer black but originally it was silver.
👍
Great restoration as always. What year was that truck made
Thanks Led! That one is a 1955
well one thing for loging truck you unfinsh logs to make realism
Yes that is a log hauler, your mistake is you painted it silver, it was black when you got it, I worked a few logging ranches and all logging haulers are black.
Someone else actually repainted in black. The original 1955 tonka log trailer was silver.
A beautiful job well done sir beautiful nice 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
