Early Dreamworks was all about ripping off disney, as the CEO left disney and wanted to get their back on them. Films such as Shark tale and antz were made to rip off disneys creations. Films like megamind, Bad guys and bee movie were NOT ripoff

That's probably because most of the Dreamworks creators and founders came from Disney's studios in the first place. They were upset and already knew about "A bug's life" before it was released.
The other ones are just dumb comparaisons.
Even when knowing what the movies were about at Disney, Dreamworks always create a new story with their own adventures and univers.

A lot of these copy claims are a stretch still. Movies having common themes isn't copying one another, lots of stories have similar themes. These movies plot and execution are still quite different from one another.
Just because two films are similar doesn't mean one copied another; at least half of these are definitely not copycats. Also, Secret Life of Pets is Illumination, not Disney. Although, some of these films do have similarities.

Even if they "Copied" something from Disney and Pixar, the movies are still good, even if they are similar.
Well, Cars is my favorite Pixar Movie. And Turbo is definitely one of my favorites as well. In defense of Turbo copying Cars, Lightning McQueen didn’t originate from going through an engine and all of sudden, he’s the fastest car.
Bad guys was based on a book series, and in my opinion is VERY MUCH it's own movie.

Well maybe Sherman and Penny grew up and they had a kid of their own. But something happened to Sherman that made Penny so depressed that she gave the baby which would be Lewis up at the orphanage. And she didn't want to get to attached to Lewis because he looks so much like Sherman. So Penny gave the baby one last hug before making sure the lady who ran the orphanage would open the door to bring Lewis inside.

I feel Like The Most Important Thing Is The Age of The Movie.
A movie can have a completely different animation, characters, tone, plot, humor, message, story arcs, execution, etc. But as soon as it shows even the smallest similarity with another movie that came out around the same time or worse comes out after it then it's labeled a ripoff and if not it's constantly compared to its older film siblings.
Even Rise of the Guardians gets compared to Avengers because it came out around the same time, in 2012, and has characters that form a team to stop a bad guy. Seriously!?!
What's next? In this movie, people breathe, walk and talk it's just like the other movie where people breathe, walk and talk. Totally the same!

Just because two films have a similar ideas in their movies/shows doesn’t mean they copied them for example:
In both Megamind and Despicable Me (the first film), both movies had their point of view of the villains prospective but the main difference between the two films was the Gru (the protagonist of Despicable Me) technically remained evil (I don’t see him as a bad guy but he still remains doing villainous things) where as Megamind became the good guy so although both films had their villains as the protagonist but neither film copied each other since they executed their films differently

Wait hold on a moment. I just turned 24 on the 13th, but I remember Small Soldiers. It's one of my favorite movies, it took me a while to find it but you don't need to be at least 30 to know the film. I mean i do know films that are older, but 30 is a stretch mates.

Well, in the DreamWorks movie "Shrek", there were a couple of things that came from a couple of Disney movies. When Donkey got sprinkled with fairy dust he said that he can fly. Then Peter Pan said that he can fly and the 3 little pigs said that he can fly, which came from the Disney movie of "Peter Pan" and when Donkey said that we may have seen a dragon fly or a house fly or a super fly, but we never saw a donkey fly, that came from "Dumbo". In the 6 minutes and 6 seconds of the video, were you telling me that Lewis from "Meet the Robinsons" could be the son of Sherman and Penny from "Mr. Peabody & Sherman", since Lewis almost looks like Sherman but with yellow hair like Penny? Speaking of "Treasure Planet", I have a very special theory that Jim Hoggins from "Treasure Planet" and Jane Porter from "Tarzan" are cousins. Jim's mother, Sarah Hoggins, almost looks like Jane Porter, which makes me believe that Sarah Hoggins is Jane's mother's sister, which makes her Jane's aunt, and, during the song "I'm Still Here", Jim remembered assembling a little toy ship when he was a little boy and, in that memory of his, he was wearing a yellow T-shirt and a pair of green shorts and his feet were bare, which reminded me of Jane Porter, who was wearing a yellow top, a green skirt and going barefoot when she was drawing a picture of Tarzan on her father's blackboard.
