I'll never get over the plot twist in Coco; I'm really glad that Hector is Miguel's REAL great-great grandfather, not that diablo Ernesto.

The first time I saw Coco, and Miguel said that Ernesto was his "great-great grandfather", I was like "Whoa! His idol was actually one of his family members?". But now I'm like " Kid, what side of the bed did you wake up on?".
I didn’t think of it at first, but after like 15 minutes after Hector was introduced I already suspected it
Another plot twist for the sequel: Ernesto IS Miguel's great-great grandfather, on his MOTHER'S side! Dun dun DUN!
That reveal blew me away and I legit hated Ernesto, who'd be willing to do such a thing even if Miguel was his great-grandson.

The truth is: Elsa’s hug is not the “act of true love” that thaw Anna’s heart. It’s actually Anna’s sacrificing herself to protect her sister the act of true love here. Basically the biggest plot twist from Frozen’s creators is that fairytale characters can save themselves from curses without receiving help from others

lmao, I thought that it was obvious, that it was Anna's sacrifice and love for Elsa, that saved her life. When they said "Elsa's hug", I was like... bro, what are u on.
The whole point surely of Anna's healing is not her being able to save herself. She wasn't able to save herself just by herself. It's the fact that her sacrificing her life on behalf of her sister showed the true love they shared in their sisterly relationship that saved Anna.
If Anna had been completely alone then saving herself would have been impossible. She didn't have to work harder or do better, or achieve a level of beauty, popularity, education, or career goals to thaw her heart. No was it because of any superpowers. It was sacrifice from love, literally her helping someone else, that brought about her healing.

And also, he wasn’t willing to melt, because he said, “maybe just not right this second.” And he stopped himself from melting. If he didn’t, then anna would’ve unfroze and Elsa could’ve built him later. But then Elsa would be dead or Anna would be dead trying to sacrifice herself cuz the ice freezing her saved her from getting cut by Hans’s blade.
To this day, the "wolf in sheep's clothing" twist in Zootopia gets me every time. One of the best disguised twists in any Disney movie

Waternose, Stromboli, Turbo/King Candy, Charles Muntz, ScreenSlaver, Syndrome, Lotso, Gabby Gabby, Charles Muntz, Auto and Ernesto La Cruz being revealed to be the villains of Pinocchio, Toy Story 2, Coco, Monsters’ Inc. The Incredibles and The Incredibles 2, Wreck-It-Ralph, Up, Toy Story 3, Toy Story 4 and Wall-E is executed correctly as they reveal their villainy halfway through the movie instead of the very end and they come off as real villains who actual contribute to the plots of the movies they appear in with personalities and backstories behind how they became villains and proper goals behind their motives and intentions but Bellwether, Sir Axlerod, Doug, Duke Weaeselton, Prince Hans and Yokai being revealed to be the villains of Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Zooptoia plus Cars 2 is executed wrong because they reveal and show their villainy and antagonism too late into the movies and demote them to minor and supporting characters and come off as generic doomsday villains, plot devices and plot-irrelevant villains who no proper goals behind their motives and only exist to create the external conflicts for the heroes and protagonists to resolve in the movie (And their plots and conflicts would have remained the same and had little or no change without them around to interfere with it.) when all its conflict mostly just comes from their character arcs and character developments to change into better people and them resolving the internal conflicts within themselves (In Elsa, Mater, Nick Wilde, Judy Hopps and Hiro’s cases of course.) related to Dory, Marlin, Maui, Moana, Nemo, Joy, Sadness, Ralph, Cruz, Lightning McQueen, Bing Bong, Wade and Ember in Finding Nemo, Cars, Cars 3 (Despite still having villains, Chick Hicks and Jackson Storm.) and Ralph Breaks the Internet, Moana (Despite still having villains, Arthur and Te Ka and Tamoata.) and Inside Out and Elemental.
Brother Bear has one of the darkest twists. The main character doesn't discover a dark secret behind another's actions. Kenai himself, discovers he killed the loved one, of someone he himself grew to love.
This movie was underrated, problably because it was ahead of its time. But it gives us a strong lesson of how our actions have consequences, and we can hurt others, even those we love.
Disney never fails to throw us a real plot twist. The best plot twist is when the protagonist finds out that the side character actually is or works for the antagonist (i.e., Zootopia and Hercules).

I honestly figured it out while we were watching it in class when it came on dvd . I said it out loud as a what if? And it turns out I was right... everyone was so mad at me. But tbh it was really predictable to me.

King Candy being Turbo absolutely floored me! Right after it’s revealed you notice all the breadcrumbs and you see how obvious it should have been to put together but it catches you so off guard that you can’t help but be impressed by it~ Honestly, this was a twist I love every time I show it to someone who hasn’t seen it

The plot twist in Coco always makes me cry every time when we find out that Hector is Miguel's actual great great grandfather. I've watched Coco like a thousand times since it came out. It's still my favorite animated movie to this day.
I remember being in the theatre watching Wreck it Ralph with my sister and friend. During the turbo scene, I flipped out and started whispering to them “OH MY GOSH THAT IS KING CANDY’S VOICE IT’S HIM”. They thought I was way overthinking it. I celebrated so hard when it was finally revealed.
Stan Lee small cameo in Big Hero 6 was one of the best surprises I have seen in a movie and they caught me off guard with Stan Lee actually appearing and talking
I thought that would be higher until I saw the other results
He also appeared in the Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, which I thought was awesome.

I still remember my jaw dropping when King Kandy turned into Turbo. I knew he was the villain but I never thought he would be Turbo. That blew my mind.
I was surprised too but after watching it again, I noticed a bunch of clues setting up that plot twist: his car wasn’t candy-themed and it looked an awful lot like Turbo’s car in his original game; in the flashback explaining the origin of “going Turbo”, the same voice actor was used to voice both Turbo in the flashback and King Candy (which I caught the first time I watched it but brushed it off to just Disney utilizing Alan Tudyk for the heck of it); he claimed that Wreck-it Ralph’s medal was lost forever in the coding network when he knew exactly where to find it all along (and just to piggyback off of that deception, the entrance to the coding network in such a newer arcade game was an OLD Nintendo controller); and for such a new game, King Candy sure had a TON of medals. I’m sure there’s more I could add but I can’t remember anything else at the moment
I agree, even some of the characters in the film especially Ralph and Felix thought Turbo was gone for good up until the climax of the film where both of them were watching the Monitor screen as Vanellope's glitching causes, King Candy, to glitch, revealing himself to be Turbo. This led Felix and Ralph to be shocked and speechless at the sight of this revelation.

I mean it was kind of obvious, there was something off about King Candy. He's much older and seems so different compared to all the other racers. I mean his castle was pink and looked way too girly to belong to an old man. So I had a feeling but what I didn't expected was that King Candy was actually Turbo.

- You find out all your hero friends are dead at the hands of a machine built by your "biggest fan"; and
- You have befriended a bear cub and become like his big brother only to find out you killed his mother and made him an orphan

When I was watching Zootopia, I thought the lion was the villain and the sheep was the good person. Man, was I wrong! Zootopia actually taught me to be more aware of persons before I can trust them cause who knows if they're wearing a dark mask.

Well, when it’s thought of, Hades owning Meg was something we didn’t learn at the end when Hercules loses his power. We learned it after the whole scuffle with Nesses. We just learned the whole backstory behind it during that climax.
The Charles F. Muntz plot twist broke my heart. He seemed like an amazing guy at first. It's his quest and loneliness that turned him slowly but surely crazy.

The ending of Onward honestly should’ve been on this list. It was Ian’s dream to finally meet his biological father only to realize how Barley has been there for him all his life. So when Ian gave up that one chance to finally come face to face with Wilden and give Barley the closure he so well needed and deserved, it was just something that no one would ever expect to see coming.

I kinda have a dark theory for Tangled. You know when Eugene says that if Rapunzel tries to heal him, she'll die, what if if this means that whatever Rapunzel heals, she then experiences. Like when she healed Eugene's hand, she could've possessed the same thing on her hand. And maybe, every time she brings Mother Gothels youth back, she grows in age a lot quicker.

Yeah. If I'm being honest, Brother Bear might be my favorite Disney movie. It's much, MUCH better than people give it credit for, and scenes like this are good reasons why.

22:15 I actually saw that as Anna's own act of true love which resulted in her returning to normal. The act of someone sacrificing themselves for someone else is an incredibly powerful display of love, after all.

Have you noticed that the recent Disney movies (Wreck it Ralph 2, Toy Story 4, Frozen 2) all have the same ending with friends/loved- ones going their seperate ways
I think it's a very good life lesson that friends are always going to seperate at one point or another but that the friendship doesn't end there and remains the same no matter what

Let me just say BEFORE any movie with family drama, the gods were the first. Not The Lion King, it’s definitely the stories of the gods.
I don't get the whole Meg thing. Didn't we know she was working with Hades towards the beginning? That would imply that she had been manipulating Hercules the whole time and not to mention there was multiple instances that also pointed to that same fact, so why was that such a shock towards the end?

When Tangled came out, we got to the theater late so we missed the intro, so when Rapunzel realized Gothel wasn't her mother, it was a jaw dropping moment
Moral of Moana: good people have a heart while villains are heartless.
Which is ironic because Moana doesn’t have a villain as much as other Walt Disney Animation Studios movies (it’s bad guys are just obstacles for the characters to overcome for our enjoyment, like the Kakamora, one of them WITH A BAYMAX MASK, SO CUTE!!!!!!, Tamatoa aka Schaffrillas Productions and Te Ka).

Finally brother bear is getting some acknowledgment
Brother Bear's twist will make me cry to this day even KNOWING what happens. Just the whole way that played out with Kenai rejecting his "love" totem, finally feeling like a big brother to Koda (learning love), and then the realization of what he did with killing Koda's mom. Add Koda's look of absolute betrayal. oof, they don't make them like that anymore.
Then you have Coco. They made the whole audience think the Ernesto was the ancestor. Parents where like ok duh so what's the big thing that will make it worth taking my kids to? And even nonparents couldn't help but wonder what the "worth" part would be, BUT to have it played out like that ?!?! Probably the best thing since Brother Bear.
Finally with the Big Hero 6 reveal of Callaghan being the man in the mask had me crying out in anger, and pain. Because that means that Tadashi's death was a meaningless sacrifice !!! He went in to HELP Callaghan who was FINE !!!! Tadashi's death broke my heart and then to find out that it didn't have to happen !!!! Let's me tell you the things I screamed "in my head" because they were not kid appropriate, ugh

The Callaghan reveal for Big Hero 6 messed me up really bad. I had convinced myself that the villian was actually Tadashi because I refused to believe he was actually dead..... So when it was revealed to be Callaghan and that he started to fire to begin with..... Devastated all over again

Many of the plot twists are still massive shocks, the first time I saw King Candy as Turbo, Hector being Miguel's Great-great Grandfather and De La Cruz being a bad guy, and Bellweather being the villain my jaw dropped to the floor.
The Big Hero 6 villain i saw through right from the beginning. I agree with the person who said the Onward ending should be up there.
I knew from the start that Stinky Pete was evil because I said to mum "isn't that Sideshow Bob's voice?" Good old Kelsey Grammar 😂

The reason that Han is such a good twist is because originally the creators were going to make him the good guy and Elsa was supposed to be the bad guy. So he was literally being written as if he was the good guy up until the reveal

And actually, last comment. How was Doris' reveal not mentioned? Like we knew she was a sentient and evil hat, but she's one of the only villains that technically succeeded in her goals. She tricked Bowler Hat Guy into having them mass produce other hats, used them to take over and WON. Literally the last part of the movie is Lewis changing the bleak future where everyone is controlled by a Doris hat (and the movie did cleverly foreshadow this in a flashback when Doris told BHG her story)...so she actually won and the protagonist had to reverse it rather than stop it.
I think the biggest Disney plot twist was when we found out Phineas remembered everything from the 2nd dimension in the goodbye song from Phineas and Ferb.

How did viewers not know Te Fiti was Te Ka all along? In the beginning of the film it described that Te Fiti was upset and Te Ka rose up from the same spot she was at in anger. I realized it right away and didn’t know it was supposed to be a plot twist until I finished the movie.

In Zootopia, that whole time I thought Mayor Lionheart was the villain. But then I realised that the real villain was the sheep. Man was I surprised😱😱😱. These plot twists have taught me never to trust even those who you think are angels. Not even your friends and loved ones. Disney is good in making plot twists.

He "rescues" her, then they have a little meeting. Think mojo is learning from the M Night school of twists.
I got emotional when Anna froze to death. Elsa's cry of grief for her sister is gut-wrenching, but I love the twist when Elsa's love brings Anna back. It proves that familial love isn't the only type of love that can break curses. Disney focused so much in the past on romantic love, but don't address sibling love until "Frozen". I like that "Finding Nemo" focuses on the love between parent and child. It shows natural conflict, reconciliation, and unconditional love.
It was Anna's self sacrifice that was the act of true love. Anna saves herself and Elsa.
