Ordered my Air3S on Oct. 15 directly from DJI. Arrived today 10/21 via DHL Express, no issues. Maybe I got lucky? Six days from China to Atlanta, not bad!
I got an email from DHL that said there was a delay, but it seems to have been a short one. I can now see it moving through the DHL system. It started in Dongguan on the 17th, moved to Shenzhen the same day and today it is being processed in Hong Kong, due to be delivered here in the US on Monday
i just recieved a non dji brand chineese radio control aircraft from china via u.s. online seller, its went right through customs with no delay and was recieved earlier than promiced
Yes I have seen reports of Neo's stuck in customs but the is not just a DJI problem as I have had reports that Freewell are having the same problems. But it is amazing how this has come up just as the are trying to Ban DJI drone in the US.
My 3s is suppose to be delivered on the 21st still. So if it is held up, that’s going to be my sign to cancel it all together and just get the mini 4 pro instead.
You should be OK. Most individual orders are getting through. This impacts more the orders to dealers on terms of stock etc. They show differently in terms of imports. Fingers crossed for you
@@Geeksvana yeah; last night over at Ken’s I posted responding to his Air 3s. DHL site did say something about clearing some customs so far, but only China side. (Update while typing) Arrived 1:53pm eastern (16 minutes ago) 👍
I was just about to purchase the dji goggle 3, fpv controller, and neo drone with 3 battery pack combo directly from dji. Was about to purchase last night and ran into videos saying customs are stopping orders. Will they hold my order at customs? Im so confused. Why would they care about a 130-gram fpv drone? If anyone can give me some insight, it would be greatly appreciated before I drop over 1k on everything. Today is 10/21/24.
This is currently only impacting the USA. My top tip is to check if the retailer has stock in the country, or if they are shipping from China directly. It is a mixed bag in terms of delays. Some are getting their drones, others are not yet or are experiencing delays. Overall, your order will get to you and DJI are working to resolve the issue.
Thanks for the instant reply. I have looked around but to get the combo I want in one place it looks like dji is the only place that has everything. I'm assuming if you order from dji direct it's coming from China right?
@dreams2reality410 it can be, although they do hold local stock. You can check with their online live chat, and they will tell you if there is stock close to you.
Yes I noticed that. I am not sure it is the same issue but wouldn't surprise me either. It seems the large specific shipments are the main issue. Hopefully this gets sorted soon.
Drones sent to influencer/partners will be a single package sent to the person. The import of larger numbers through the main system will be where the main delays happen.
@@Geeksvana I take it amazon doesn't have this problem either then? Off topic tho...has anyone read the EASA warnings in the A3s pack? Especially the ' don't do ' is that DJI getting around a legislation.
@PhantomandtheDrone Most retailers got their stock in before the most recent issues. Also, I have not heard of bulk Air 3 orders with issues, mainly enterprise dealer bits.
Problem is that DJI is not manufactured in that region, and according to them no parts are sourced from there. Just another case of money being put in legislators pockets for services rendered. And whatever happened to Innocent until proven guilty? Whatever happened to free enterprise.
Refuse competition and rather sacrifice consumer is why these manufacture will never put enough effort on their product, they don't care what consumer need, they just want to get the profit without spending real effort.
The US customs/political system cares about forced labour? I wonder when they will amend the 13th amendment then that enshrines prison labour slavery as a perfectly acceptable thing.
Nice reason to protect the US drone manufactures to keep selling their poor quality expensive versions.

That is epic! Many people have got them quickly. I think more of the 3S orders are getting through than not. Great update, thank you!
Thanks Sean - really interesting and valuable, as ever....
Thank you, sir! Appreciate the support as always.

That's fantastic! I doubt many individual orders will be impacted by this but it is good to hear it happening. Hope you enjoy your new drone!
Thanks. Love your show
@JeffBolen thank you!
I like how US is trying to create the impression communist China is doing what Imperialists do... LOL
How dare you suggest such a thing 🤣
Enjoying all my DJI drones
Fantastic!
What about travelling to the USA with a DJI drone? Is this still allowed?
Yes flew in on the 17th with 2 dji drones and an action cam no problem
Flew into seattle with my Mavic 3 OG and mini 3 Pro 2 days ago and went through customs no problem at all. Thankfully
Nice to hear! I think this issue is more for first time import of new goods, but perhaps we could start importing Air 3S drones like this.

Hey Trevor! Yes, it is hard not to read something into the timing isn't it? I am not surprised DJI feel it is all linked.
Is there a limit to how long customs can hold property without resonable cause?

Same here - but no tracking update showing it has left DHL in Cincinnati
Fingers crossed 🤞 my replacement Mini 3 Pro was supposed to have left Shenzhen yesterday… but also was supposed to arrive yesterday… 😊
I did see you comment elsewhere about that. Hopefully, it won't be too long. Or we march to get it ourselves!!! (Hope you are well).

@lambo_drives WOOOHOOO!!!
I received a DHL request for my SSN / FEIN to import my new drone -- unbelievable!
I received one too! it has just arrived to NY, we will see what is next

Also I understand that DJI has filed a complaint against the U.S. DOD.
Meanwhile......enjoying my Air 3 S in Australia.
It is a great drone isn't it!
i have dgi rc 2 (dji air 3) and dji googles 3 in this concept who gets signal from AIR 3
That is a good question as they are both primary signal devices... One to look into and report back on.
no big deal just opened and checked, sent on. got my Neo yesterday
Excellent! Yes, this particular issue should go away.
Hoping my Air 3S makes it here no problem...
It will certainly get there in the end! I don't predict too long of a wait. Did you order direct from DJI?
Sean American UA-camr that was saying his air 3s was stuck in costumes.

Smells like AUVSI and maybe Skydio.
so much for the land of the free governed by corrupt politicians
what happened to u.s. national security breach concerns? now its dji labor practices, looking more and more like a witch ĥunt
